We must all start somewhere, having students just punch each other without a foundation will just teaches bad habbits... Controlled basics and taking away the controlls slowly teach how to use your ideas ad teaches good habbits... Simplicity and Patience, but me and my students.. Maybe you like to learn without guides, then that is good for you.
Economy of motion, it seems like alot of wasted movement your opponent wont stand there and give you his arm he will wiggle and squirm and punch, the first move cant be done in a real fight a punch comming at you is just fast and will snap back not stay at you.

Learn Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Stop wasting your time with this useless garbage. Tai Chi doesn't work in a real fight. Stop telling stories about how one day you did this and this and that, when someone attacked you. It's just stories. Prove it in a real fight.
Usually I get all good comments but every once in a while well. A troll comes by. This is what I hate about the internet, anyone can comment. Spice is life no problem...
What's worse is when people like myself and others are trying to better the CMA community from all the trash that is out there, you get some young kid who should be training instead of being a paper tiger and concerned with people lives they nothing about. Peace...
mike, The "anyone can comment" aspect of the internet really is more good than bad. People with years of experience but no money or big commercial schools can showcase their training insights and skills, share their understanding and attract the interest of people lower on the skill ladder who can grow from the mistakes of their seniors.

Hmmmm.
Some people dont give their opponents their limbs and some do.
I think for those that dont then a person has to train to be able to recognise when a person is going to do something.
Train to parry a fast jab.
Train to move inside a fast jab(difficult)
Train to parry and catch a fast jab
Most people have slower right back hands.
I think the video is demonstrationg techniques.
The techniques might have to be adjusted to be incorperated in to a persons ability to use them

I can see a lot of logic and usefell applications in his teachings.
For the street they would have to be adjusted somewhat but the principles are the same.
