Any suggestions on how to fix it? Well, not have it modeled after a koopa for one thing... Just use a custom sprite and edit it to act like the four different koopas.

You could change it so it doesn't use the shell as a death frame...

Change the Shelless Koopas to maskless Shy Guys. Change the Koopa Shell to a big Shy Guy mask.

Overwite the Rex graphics with the GFX of the stretch and make the small rex look like a normal sized shy guy.

Thats a good idea! I could remap te rex to somewhere in SP1 or 2 or something... but i would also have to change te X position of his head. It dosent seem too hard though.

Yes. SMAS is Super Mario All-Stars. This is basically a hack implementing many of the things (Blocks, sprites, music, graphics, ect) From the 3 games that it featured. Something like Anikiti's hacks.
