yes they make great engines. My Wilesco steam roller is made in west Germany. I'm not sure of the date though. i bought it new but it looked like it was on a shelf for a while, but never fired. i also have a Jensen 85. thats a nice one too. what do you like better, jensen or wilesco?
I started with Wilesco, but lately have gravitated towards Jensen. It's hard to beat their cast iron line. Even their hobby engines are built tougher than anything else in their price range.
Wilesco, however, make the best toy steam mobiles IMO. Or at least the most interesting ones.
Wilesco in Germany. It's from the 60's or perhaps early 70's, but they've not significantly changed to this day. This one was unfired, and ran well from the start. Wilesco makes some smooth engines.
well if you think that is fast you should see a wilesco locomobile on full throttle! that is fast!

yes the wilesco steam tractor and steam roller seem to have better detail than the mamod ones. but the mamods are neat too and run good too.
