The really frustrating part about this video, is that he's not on 10/10ths until that last half a lap, and it cuts right at the point you really want to see, the run down Mistral to Signes.
Beautiful circuit. Thanks for this nice moment. Eddie Cheever is not among the best pilots who ever existed but, by following him on the "Paul Ricard", we can appreciate his braveness and his talent. Terrible "Signes" curve, after the "Mistral" long straight line, just before the double "Beausset" impressive right curve. It's something which belongs to the legend of F1. I agree with the last comment. The last F1 GP which took place here was in 1990. It's a long time now but I remember it.
him using the clutch is really noticeable on reducing gears on corners, you can hear the pilot releasing the clutch really smooth, awesome driving, and a lot of courage also, and man that v6 jumps on the straight line !!!
The joke is saying that the driver is the Stig or saying that "Paul Ricard" (which is the name of the circuit) is the Stig? The driver is Eddie Cheever -.-
Very impressive! I am so happy to go back to the Paul Ricard. It was a kind of paradise with Mediterranean sea 20 km around, hot sun, a camping and nice pine trees . It was the best track we had in France (with Charade, old one, 11 km). But it's over. Pilots would not agree to compete with the same environment around them. Paradise is gone, 10 years ago with the last "Bold d'Or", and maybe 19 years ago for F1 GP. Now, no camping, only luxury hotels are allowed. It was the good old time. Thanks.
Elio de Angelis died at Paul Ricard circuit, on May 15th 1986, after having heavily crashed in some private tests with the Brabham BT55. It could be a reference to that. Obviously I don't speak Japanese.
if the magny cours wont be next year in calendar f1 I would like change for this track with long Mistral it could be very cool but I think they dont do that because its dangerous for drivers by them

I think the French Grand Prix is the most important one of the year (although I myself am not French) and I think Paul Ricard should host the race.

This is f1 at its purest right here. These cars were beasts. No driving aids, no hans device, fast corners, H pattern shifting. I love it!

That is Eddie Cheever driving and it actually says "Nava" on the back of his helmet. They make Helmets.
