I think the new version is easier than the older one, although i would have loved to see a duel reales: one for kids one for adaults.

But the space age disapointed me. very repetative and i was kinda expecting a more stadagy based space stage.

Thing is, they want as many people to be able to acess it as they can, (hence the low requirements) and you need to notice the difference between childish and family freindly.

And anyway, as creators of shadowbane said:

Gameplay > Graphics.

Even WITH cartoonish graphics the game still looks pretty good.

I'm nervous about what happened to the customization in texture. It looks like they've taken out the full range of choosing texture and color and just given a bunch of (ludicrous, epileptic seizure-inducing) presets. I'm hoping that isn't the case, but who can really say at this point?

I understand. Same, where i got to know that the cartoony style is the new and the realistic bloody world was set aside i was angry too. But still, the game consists of pure customizing and a variety of possibilities soo wide, we missed the point of where its not really the way how the world is shown but how we can interact with it. Even if it will be childish, it still is a great idea for a game, made really good. Lets just set aside our rage and wait for the release.

There's a video from the New Yorker's "2012: Stories from the Near Future" series of symposiums where Will Wright explains why it has become more 'cartoony'... It's definitely worth a watch.

Personally, I think this type of game requires a 'kiddy' approach simply because of the level of information the player will have to assimilate.

This game will revolutionise the way children learn science and history! Amazing!
