Sorry everyone but Please read this threats before you buy this TV .
I bought Panasonic 3D tv and there are many problems vith the TV and nobody from the panasonic costumer service is willing to reply to solve this problems or other problems with the TV, both the 3Dglasses are CRAP and also there is a huge problem with the ir sync signal for the 3D glasses to work consulting other remotes you use, like the SKY HD remote go to AV forums to see all the complains about panasonic 3D TV's
i bought panasonic 3d 42"gt model and must say its the best one out there the now for 42"models anyway, was in comet tried, samsung,lg,didnt like them, but when i tried panasonic i was amazed at quality of 3d,only down fall price of glasses 100 a pair, but well worth it for 3d
If you attach a computer to your Panasonic 3D, you can enhance HDTV using iMax, Quicktime plugins, or graphic programs to bring out a more realistic view. Incorporating several programmers to write the scripts, you certainly can go where ever you want to with Panasonic.
People say LCD is better than plasma are wrong pioneer made the best tvs which were plasma but a few months ago panasonic bought pioneers tv engineers so that is why panasonic are good
I own a TC-P54V10 which is somehow very close to a V25 3D... Are you gonna make a firmaware and a "wii like" hardware for the glasses to make a V10 upgradable to 3D ?
@Cruzito2008 I have panasonic 3D tv and the picture quality is fab but it has many problems, the glasses are horrible and the ir signal from the TV sync for the 3D glasses are making my sky HD remote control not working. Panasonic costumer service do not want to listen to the problems people are complaining about.
SO my advise is to buy another brand than panasonic, I would if I was to buy me a 3D tv today.
errr, there's no way I will sit there wearing them dorky looking glasses. I can think of little worse than sitting in front of a piece of plastic that emits light for hours on end. Listen to music, read books, socialise. TV is mind numbing rubbish! ! ! ! ! ! !
Sony 3D TVs are the best 3D TVs on the market. Panasonic uses Plasma, which is nothing compared to the LCD/LED combination in the Sony 3D TV. There are also less zones than compared to the Sony 3D TV. You could have 20 people all in the same room watching a Sony 3D TV. Panasonic just made a bootleg version of this technology, same goes for Samsung. That's why Sony released their 3D TVs after all the advertisements came up from Samsung and Panasonic; Sony's quality is far superior!
please can u tell me which the best panasonic 3d tv size i should buy i have panasonic 42' full hd and it's still the best tv i ever use but i want to buy new panasonic fullhd 3d.
i have a 50'' panasonic and it sucks series balls. i saw it at the store (not in HD) i bought it, took it home, pluged in my ps3 put in a bluray movie and it looked like SHIT! it was not full 1080p like it says. FUCK U PANASONIC, i wasted $2300 on ur shitty TV. thats why im now buying the SONY BRAVIA 3d. they know wat there doing.
@pauleallen2 - does 3D mean the end of everyone else who owns a regular HDTV non 3D. I mean I just bought my HDTV in Feb. before i heard about 3D TVs. PS3 games on 3D. WTF. its not fair. Im not a 3Dfan with glasses. I just want my regular tv.but everything will change to 3D now and it will become a non HD but 3D world. is this right..??
@insanity23mike not yet because if you own fios ,and you get a 3d tv you still cant watch 3d because some tv providers like fios will have no 3d channels to watch untill the end of the year. but you can watch 3d if you have those stupid glasses that are overpriced, and a 3d blue ray you can watch movies or play ps3 games.
In the last few months I´ve seen a lot of publicity about the new tv 3d systems and I would like to know which is the compay who did it first or the one who lauch it firt to the massive consumers... I´ve seen the LCD version and would like to know if this is possible to go for the LED versions.
I want this tv!!!!! I've seen it in person and it's as good as the cinema in regards to 3d only alot smaller..... Wonder how much a full HD 3d projectors going to be????? $10000
Panasonic will be Killing them all if they can sell a 54 inch 3d plasma for around $2700-$3000 i certainly will buy one!!!! We can only imagine how the pioneer kuro 3d plasma would have looked like......... What's that you say!!!!! the latest PANASONIC plasmas are pioneer KUROS just with different skin
i did not know hd tv was invented in 1990 i thought it was in 2000 or close.

ok. nice... but what happens to the people who don't want or don't like to use 3D glasses? and what about me ? because I use regular glasses . is there any consideration about it?

Geez, what a scam. Its a regular HD tv. Only the content is 3D. How could Panasonic possible try to market this crap as a 3D HDTV? Remember the 50s and their 3D glasses? This is the same!
Infact, there is a DVD outthere, Quinten Tarintino's Planet Terror has a 3D version with use with 3D glasses.
hh o how? wha? panasonic is going pretty low with this one.
because you need 60 frames per second per eye. tv's now can only deliver 60 frames per seconds. that means that to display 3d on a 1080p 60 fps HDTV you would either need to cut down on the resolution or cut down the refresh rate for each eye down to 30 fps. at 30 fps 2d video looks just fine, but 3d video at 30 fps causes stroboscopic artifacts to show up which causes headaches which means unhappy customers who won't want to try 3d again. If you want fully convincing 1080p 3d u need 120 fps.
by the way the technique used for 3d with the red blue anaglyph glasses sucks. the image doesn't look anything like what it should, it gives people headaches, and it's not convincing.
ok, so i searched little hear and there and realized the glasses this one delivers isactually an image thats not tinted nor is the other one.
Its a true delivery of a shifted perspective to give the viewers eyes that sense of 3d. And the comment on the 120 fps is probably warranted for the 3d to work properly for each eye. Oddly without the glasses, they showed (not in this vid) but a merging of two images. looked absurd. but meh, ...sounds novelty to me.
I know what you mean. that's what FULL 3D HD should be, but it isn't. The word 3d as we're using it, is a misnomer. When we talk about 3d, we mean the act of delivering a simulated parallax to the viewer via two separate 2D images going into each eye. The technical name for this is stereoscopy. It's merely called 3D because of marketing reasons. What you watched on ESPN 3D HD was stereoscopy. When we
talk about "full HD 3D" we're using the marketing name for 1080p 120Hz stereoscopic viewing. What we don't even have the technology for yet is a volumetric display, and that is what you mean by full 3D HD; a truly three-dimensional way of viewing and recording objects that has actual height, width, and length; a projected image onto an electronic, digital, or analog display that accepts three-dimensional "video" input (correct technical name: streaming volumetric data) in a medium
But yeah, because you ARE anal you have to pretend to be some enlightened being who came to youtube to point out the difference between stereoscopic and volumetric holograms because nothing projected onto a flat screen could possibly be really box like...
it's not about winning. If that's all you got out of this then you missed the point entirely. I just thought I could clear things up a little and perhaps help you out by providing some useful info. The way technology actually works has nothing to do with what the executive marketing people decide to call it and that causes customer confusion. But if you don't want to learn, that's fine. Your loss.
you know, if you werent so anal you would have read what I said and understood it.
There isnt a single person out there that has seen a 3D movie outside of the last few years that think stereoscopic is real 3D because of how cheaply the movies were made.
HD 3D gives a full 3D look to a movie.
when a movie like avatar for example is made WITH HD 3D cameras it DOES give everything a true 3D look as if they are not looking at a flat screen but at a box.
I would agree with most of what you said here. except what you say here "Hd 3D gives a full 3D look" is different from saying "You are not looking at a screen, you are looking at a BOX ". It doesn't look like your looking at a screen, but you are. I misunderstood you, but it's hardly my fault. How am I supposed to telepathically know that you meant that in a non-literal way (i.e. it gives the illusion that you are not looking at a screen) if you don't make that clear?
(typically air itself) that can be viewed from multiple angles with changing views for each angle you view the display from (for example some so-called 'holographic or volumetric displays' [holography is a completely different subject having nothing to do with actual and truly three-dimensional displays with streaming volumetric data] are really just 2d images projected on a 360 degree display that presents all viewers with the same view of the same 2d image "floating in the air"
[there are various ways to simulate this illusion] that is constantly changing and rotating to give the illusion of a volumetric display) at full HD resolution (I don't even know what the technical specifications for an truly three-dimensional HD display would be since a standard hasn't been set yet, I do know though that we wouldn't be talking about 1080p, since p stands for pixel, and pixels are two-dimensional, you would need voxels, or three-dimensional volumetric pixels), at least not in
holy shit, can't believe I missed that. You're right, that one little mistake must mean I'm wrong about everything else. What the hell was I thinking?
Hey, I didn't say you were wrong about all of it, I just pulled you up on that minor detail. I hardly think you're one to start flaming people for being pedantic.
yeah i agree, yeah sure 3D glasses are needed but 3D exist since the 70`s (blue/red) but now they just improve it? Thats not ``new`` at all its just a newer version... But its still pretty nice but im still waiting for the stunnig 4D....
warracer03, I went one further and went 5D! I plugged the HT voltage tube lead of my old CRT TV directly into my eye socket, turned on the TV and was AMAZED........at how quickly my head caught fire!
If you're so critical of the glasses let's see you come up with something better. I don't hear any of the people complaining about how this is old tech coming up with better solutions.
Thanks, glad you like the technology. Don't be sad, the glasses are an important part of the system which provides the full high definition 3D experience.
@Panasonic3D I am so dissapointed about your service that I will let the world know how bad your 3d glasses really are, or the product included with my 3dtv were just factory fault. if I want to watch 3d tv now I need to buy new 2 glasses for $300 even though I bought the panasonic 3d tv 3 weeks ago.
@Panasonic3D the glasses are CRAP !!! I have TX-P50VT20E and the TV is fantastic, but the 3D glasses that included with the TV is one big SHAME for Panasonic, one of the 3D glasses were broken when I got the TV so I tried to glue them back together but then I saw the same crack at the same spot on the other glasses after only 2 weeks, I tried to contact customer service but there is no way to reach someone willing to help me with this problem.

There's not really a way to create the 3D image without the glasses as that is how you control a separate perspective for each eye. This technology uses glasses with built in shutters that sync with the TV and open/close for each eye 60 times per second alternating the frames between each eye to produce a single 3d field.
well there is a way. but you could only see it from head on. the use of a Lenticular screen over the display will direct a diffrent set of pixels to the left or right eye. what you get is a real 3d you dont need glasses for.. however you tilt your head, or move to the side and it distorts. i think polorized is the best way but few moniters suport it. i wonder if this display will be compatable with the nvidia 3d thingy.
What a fantastic range from a superior brand of excellence.

someone doesnt know the difference between 3D and HD 3D...
HD 3D gives full 3D.
You are not looking at a screen, you are looking at a BOX where everything has 3 dimensions. as in the actors head is ROUND with depth, not flat.
I watched an ESPN broadcast of a Lakers game in HD 3D...it looked like I was in the seats. The court had depth to it.
BTW, ESPN is one of several stations that have announced they will start a full 24/7 3D channel within the next 2 years.
This is the future.

'p stands for pixels'?
Odd, I always thought the 'p' referred to the image being progressive scan as opposed to 'i' for interlaced.
Silly me. Although, when you make statements like that, it does hurt the credibility of your argument.

holy shit, can't believe I missed that. You're right, that one little mistake must mean I'm wrong about everything else. What the hell was I thinking?
Unclesamslair 2 years ago
Hey, I didn't say you were wrong about all of it, I just pulled you up on that minor detail. I hardly think you're one to start flaming people for being pedantic.

anyway that would look realistic. People generally refer to these as "holograms" but then again that's another misnomer, for another day.
Definitions and Wikipedia aside, 3D TV's as you've defined them (volumetric displays) aren't coming to your home anytime in the next 10-60 years.

yeah i agree, yeah sure 3D glasses are needed but 3D exist since the 70`s (blue/red) but now they just improve it? Thats not ``new`` at all its just a newer version... But its still pretty nice but im still waiting for the stunnig 4D....

warracer03, I went one further and went 5D! I plugged the HT voltage tube lead of my old CRT TV directly into my eye socket, turned on the TV and was AMAZED........at how quickly my head caught fire!
lol
Now I am dead. Grrrr!

I will never recommend panasonic ever again

@Panasonic3D the glasses are CRAP !!! I have TX-P50VT20E and the TV is fantastic, but the 3D glasses that included with the TV is one big SHAME for Panasonic, one of the 3D glasses were broken when I got the TV so I tried to glue them back together but then I saw the same crack at the same spot on the other glasses after only 2 weeks, I tried to contact customer service but there is no way to reach someone willing to help me with this problem.

impressive. sad that the glasses still gotta be there though

There's not really a way to create the 3D image without the glasses as that is how you control a separate perspective for each eye. This technology uses glasses with built in shutters that sync with the TV and open/close for each eye 60 times per second alternating the frames between each eye to produce a single 3d field.
micah3sixty 2 years ago
well there is a way. but you could only see it from head on. the use of a Lenticular screen over the display will direct a diffrent set of pixels to the left or right eye. what you get is a real 3d you dont need glasses for.. however you tilt your head, or move to the side and it distorts. i think polorized is the best way but few moniters suport it. i wonder if this display will be compatable with the nvidia 3d thingy.
