a full length movie could be made from every one of these tracks off the Treasure album...I invision a women witha rocket launcher shooting down a Black Hawk helecopter in ..the Congo...and the JOY of such a moment.
I first played this the winter it came out. I was 15 and listening to it one late December morning and looking over the snow-covered fields of my village out of my bedroom window. I was kinda lonely but in a completely magical place. This song for me will always be snow-covered fields forevermore. And I will always be 15.
For me it was September; that time of re-newal...That 'New Term at School' feeling...although...I had left school and Uni years before...there is just that feeling, isn't there? When the nights draw in...There is a sense of dampness in the air...
On a clear night...you may look out of your bedroom window....If you are lucky, you may see the moon in its fullness, or its promise of such..and become enchanted at its total remoteness and disregard of man and our insignificant role...XXX
@djbethell Same here, Absolutely. I was 14-15? as well when this album came out, and every time I hear them or anything from this Album, I am perpetually 15 and in love with the Innocence, purity and peacefulness that everything is still all-right with the world.
I've just turned 21 again. It's a Sunday morning. The coffee Fah Kiong's mom roasted herself and sent us from Malaysia is brewing in the pot. I've just toked a spliff. I grab the paper, Donimo is the first song to come up as I settle in for a great wake n'bake afternoon.
Got up at 8:00...licked all over by my dog...Took shower; dried hair and headed off to work...No time for the Earl Grey: Listened again to Donimo on the short journey to work and decided it was my favourite Treasure track... XXX
also one of my favourites of theirs....all I can say is thanx for JOY DIVISION for opening doors..............and thanx for liz bringing more voice to that type of great music

I don't care what the hell Liz Fraser says in all of the Cocteau Twins Songs - gibberish or not - I fucking love this Band :)

I wasn't born in this era, but I definitely take to this music, so calming and makes you day dream a lot.

There's something very ethereal about the Cocteau's music at times and your video captures this beautifully.

This song is more like an anthem: The Quest For The Holy Grail, etc. I've always thought of Donimo as Parzival or Galahad from The Round Table.
The stuff of myth-- pure magic. Liz is an alchemist of the highest order (-:

For a few albums, the Cocteau Twins had one of these kind of epic songs as the last track. This has to be my favorite.
