There is nothing to stop a car from hurtling into a business or home. There is nothing to stop a regular driver from turning down the road being used. It is illegal because people are maimed and killed all the time. When someone you know gets hurt/killed, then tell us ALL about it, kid.

@kenfo0 One more think.. People with brains choose safe roads to race on.. like 2 lane in one direction separated by steel barriers.. If there is a crash only the racers would suffer injuries in case of a crash.. And also, usally the cars are gone through to detect flaws before a race. The racers wears helmets and gloves...
Street racing is so smart. I think we should always take less than controlled conditions and act really reckless for kicks! Fuck them coppers that want to take away such great and dangerous fun so people won't get killed. A few people dead is much better than not having racing on the street, right? Yeeeeee-hiiii!!!! ANYONE can pass a drivers test, one of my friends, before she had her license totaled 3 cars, got her license and wrecked again and still has a license. an old lady lost control in a 30 mph road, ran into our neighbors tree, went back on the road, and then went back off the road and hit another tree and she still has her license. none of my friends that race have had a wreck. street racers are the least of our worries on the road.
