  • Amy Winehose stand aside! A new talent announces itself!

  • @gibaudrac1 Both Duffy and Amy Winehouse have ( had ) talents .

  • I have NO idea what all these nonsensense comments mean but she is awesome!!!!

  • Silky voice

  • wow what a beautiful live cover love this girls amazing voice

  • is it wrong that i really like how leona lewis did this song?

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUCK 1000X

  • Taking nothing away from the talented and beautiful singer, whatsforlunchfatass I was just searching for a mouth running asshole conservative like yourself. Now go fuck yourself, you dweeb.

  • Very nice and in sharp contrast to the evil that is being done by the tea party thugs in America. She has such a unique voice, unlike that of the constant babbling and lie put out by FOX news. She's very pretty too, opposite of the ugliness being done by that evil Mitch McConnell, senator from Kentucky who sleeps every night with a Chinese water buffalo. I'd like to see her in concert.

  • @acchokiefan Man, you got some fucking Liberal douche-bag issues don't you? This is a video of a talented singer, not a forum for ultra-liberal whiners who blame everything under the sun on a political party! Do people force you to watch FOX? Did you vote for Mitch McConnell? Have you never bought a Chinese made product? THEN SHUT THE FUCK UP!

Back to the video: She reminds me of Dusty Springfield. She's a true talent.

  • heres the real man

    watch?v=1b_dhe9W4bo&feature=related

  • Why is she not bigger than Britney? Or that Tutsoon Beyonce?

  • I like Ville Valo’s version better. but she did a great job.

  • great

  • restrained performance from duffy, best bit is the guitar solo

  • 

  • Oh this is rubbish compared to Cat stevens simplistic verson or Rods full frontal verson

  • @matt666heafy Watching Rod's performance at The Albert Hall where her laughingly chides the audience for starting to sing without him always makes me smile. I've yet to hear a bad version of the song(oh-oh,I'm tempting fate now!)- respect to its writer and all performers...

  • I must say shes got that great slightly whisky tinged voice that will only get better with age. Knocks Amy Winehouse a loop for her blue eyed soul

  • Where's the auto-replay button?? I love this! What a voice she has!

  • LoveLoveLoveLoveeeee!

  • Sorry i know its only my opinion but if you really want to hear a great version of this song check out the Keith Hampshire version it was a big hit down under in 1968 cheers from aussie Mr48Steve

  • Sorry i know its only my opinion but if you really want to hear a great version of this song check out Keith Hampshire it was a big hit down under in 1968 cheers from aussie Mr48Steve

  • this is good but check out Linda Rondstatt version live

  • Love her dimples......<3

  • Not a bad version. P P Arnold is still the standard bearer.

  • i thouot no one could sing this like rod stewart but duffy proved me wrong peter

  • im cryign right now this song is beautiful and i love her voice xx

  • not as good as PP but good!

  • Agreed. Fine interpretation by Duffy in spite of the band which just plods as if its a working mens club friday night turn -out. Watch the original from PP Arnold on Ian Levines site and know the band should play with the singer not go off into indulgent solos.

  • Were the band listening to Duffy? Sounds like a fight, poor lass. Duffy has great voice. They should 'ave given her bit more of an ear.

  • i love this song but i dont like this cover. when i listen to the song i feel as if its suppose to be slow and mellow. the band makes it feel as if its a fast pop song. just my opinion. still a great cover though :)

  • silence fool who has no clue about music i live and breath music

  • Never been a fan of Duffy, but this version of Cat Steven's song is better than Stewart's, Ronstadt, Crow, Steven's himself and just behind the definitive version by PP Arnold. Brava!!! Duffy.

  • @daubreyjaneweirdsley better than stevens or steward haha i think you need your ears tested weres the emotion in her voice whatever take it you just discovered music this year

  • @mckaos666.... Judging by your comment i think you've just discovered English you puerile buffoon...look it up.

  • She ruined the song. Don't like her cover, thumbs down.

  • best version but only after P.P. Arnold

  • Great !!

  • Okay she has the vibrato but at least I know it already thank you very much.

  • she ruined the song...try rod stewart ...

  • I love Duffy, don't get me wrong, but this song doesn't really suit her voice. Still, I appreciate the fact that she's taking on such a beloved song.

  • sounds like an old Kathrine Hepburn

  • Fantastic sexy interpretation of a classic song. She's amazing in all respects. Much <3 for Duffy.

  • 49 persons are obviously born without a brain....

  • I really rather like Duffy. But Dusty she ain't. Lulu, I reckon - and that's not a bad thing.

  • I like Duffy, but the song belongs to PP Arnold

  • Duffy......excellent

  • voice of a duck who sacked this song ... Oh no .. :'(

  • This REALLY sucks!

  • A friend just asked me who wrote this song after playing me Cat Stevens and confirmed Cat was the composer so I sampled this version because my wife likes Duffy and to be honest I feel this is very average at best.

  • She is so good...I love her throaty sexy earthy voice..she sang the hell out of this song too!!!

  • Little bits of Billie Holiday, Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin, Shirley Bassey and Tina Turner inhabit this woman's soulful voice. She's fucking awesome!

  • Little bits of Billie Holiday, Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin, Shirley Bassey and Tina Turner inhabit this woman's soulful voice. She's fucking awesome!

  • I can't believe I hadn't heard of her before now. What rock have I been under? Absolutely fantastic!

  • wow

  • @CROBARUS INNIT THO

  • @SAROGIM HAVE YOU GOT BALLS IN YOUR EARS? LOL

  • @geofbee SHUT UP!

Linda whoever werent invited to sing with jools holland was she.

Ive been listening to this version since she sang it on that night, that my friend means its good OK! LOL

  • how good is this?

  • What a balls-up. The woman has a 72 piece orchestra, grand piano, some good guitarists and STILL she sounds like crap. She cant sing, man. Its hilarious LOL

  • Load of Crap!

I know at least 4 other versions that are better than this.

    PP Arnold

    Rod Stewart

    Cat Stevens

    Linda Ronstadt

  • just watched her on klg and hoda... i am an instant fan. so talented and special

  • Duffy has the best command of rubato probably since Billie Holliday.

She may be the best rock solo female since Janis Joplin.

  • @thallassocracy

    WTF!!

  • Aaaahhh O for AWESOME!!!

  • she gives me goosebumps... amazing!

  • awesome...bringin back the good old times...with a brilliant voice....every song is brilliant!!!thx...

  • @KibaAndAKamaru100: Also Duffy brings her on style to the music world, she is not copying anyone. She is beautiful too!!

  • 0:28 - for me dw

  • From the first time i heard Duffy voice I loved her singing. She is simply amazing!!

  • @musicmythang : Yes She Is Amazing I Love Her Music She Is One Of The Best In My Book To Great She Touches My Heart ! <3

  • Is that dude playing a Washburn HB32? Ho shit!

  • @Mechagnomics No, he is not.

  • Firstly, I love her voice and her style. Secondly, I love looking her and the way she moves.

  • sheryl crow does a good job also and she plays the bass

  • @007landshark, if there is i've yet to hear one, just awesome !

  • im pretty sure if i could sing like this & look like this then i would

  • Noooooooo way !!

  • Strong accent. Good try.

  • @007LandShark it's not duffy it's Cat Stevens

  • @SunriseAvenuerockt exactly

  • My favourite version is by P. P. Arnold (1967)

  • Great song this

  • This shout out is for ( joshlymon ) Thank you so much for this version... Duffy did the song just great,, love her voice.. Duffy is one of my fav. Artis.. BRAVO!! thanks again and bless you.. its people like you that keep music alive for us to enjoy so for that i say BRAVO!! to you... please keep the music commin.. your friend from California... USA...

  • 38 dislikes are Justin Bieber fans!

  • @asilva61 shut the fak up you piece of sh!t

  • Very enjoyable version, but still doesn't hold a candle to the version Keith Hampshire did of the song. No one, not even Rod Stewart or Sheryl Crow has bested his take on it.

  • Finally a girl that has tallent and not the gaga dude.

  • @tomtebass she'sreleased her album and been all over the tv long before gaga kind of died off lately though haven't heard anything new from her in a long time

  • a would give ma chopper bike up for her ,love it xxxxxxxx

  • aia

  • Love this song. Can't get it out of my head.

  • wow! Nicely sung. Best version I've heard yet.

  • the best version

  • mother of god-c'est merde!

  • what a voice!!!!!

  • She butchered this song ..... shame shame

  • Sounds like a cross between Dolly Parton and Kathrine Hepburn....... hahahaha

  • @zanzabar123456 Ya made me pee a little LOL LOL....right on point with that one.

  • jools holland could work his magic tickeling the ivory on a rat being killed and it would still sound great the mans a musical genius

  • This version is better then the original!!!

  • I would love to see a duet : Duffy with Rod Steward!!

  • @lonnie4341

why not a duet Duffy-Cat Stevens ? however, it would be interesting to hear two completely different voices and performing ways !

  • okay this is good..........I have always liked the Rod Stewart version as a man singing...

Cheryl Crow, tried to sound too much like Rod Stewart.......James Morrison the sound out did his voice and Duffy she reminds me of Dolly Pardon vocals and I have always wanted to hear Dolly sing this song....I believe she would tear down the house in a manner of speaking ......Duffy sings this well. This is my favorite song of all time...

  • pp arnold, rod stewart, sheryll crow, linda ronstadt, james morrison ...so many performers for this excelent song writed by the best i mean Cat Stevens.

  • Comment removed

  • @zana16sioyx SORRY, I SEARCHED BETTER, YOU ARE RIGHT, IT IS, CAT STEVENS!

  • Simplicity can be so beautifull, This is the angel heaven is missing from the choir.Thank God she is down her on earth. All the best to duffy this year success u do deserve.

  • She's written 50 songs during the past year...time too take the next step in her career

  • I still love Rod the best!

  • @arkbluejay Yes, Rod Version is simply the best. Duffy sounds a littlebit like a grandma.

  • Comment removed

  • @zana16sioyx SORRY, CAT STEVENS WROTE IT

  • @zana16sioyx Yes i was very sure. Cat Stevens wrote this song in 1967.The first singer was PP Arnold .

  • though she is a great singer, and this is a good rendition, its neither close to the original cat stevens nor not better than sheryl or rod stewart's renditions

  • Best rendition I've ever heard. Superb.

  • I like her version so much better than jame's or sheryl's

  • che spettacolare orchestra

  • Great song, great version. Duffy is so cool!

  • YOUR VOICE IS AMAZING!!!!!

  • Fab by far, this version wow wow wow

  • Duffy, cantas muy bonito mucho sentimiento excelente armonía y además eres bella.Saludos desde lima Perú

  • JUST AMAZING............

  • @spartie100 Absolute fuckin shite!!!

    u must be tone deaf

  • @architecturalabdabs ha ha !! good reply .

  • how awesome is duffy...!!!

  • This is the best female song version in my choice.

  • Is there a bad Duffy song? Shes wonderful

  • @007LandShark no it as P.P. Arnodl song watch?v=zra0pjwlgEA&feature=related

  • @007LandShark as long as it's cat stevens super-success from decades ago

  • @007LandShark I was thinking the exact same thing.

  • duffy,sheryl crow,linda ronstad,ros stewert,pp arnold.....many version at tevens a great songwriter.

  • Eh, love her, but I don't like her version of this song. She doesn't have the right voice for it.

  • wow great production -

  • cat stevens was the best version but this is pretty good

  • @playbic15 I like this song a lot, but I have to disagree that the original was the best version. So far the best one I've heard is Sheryl Crow's.

  • She has ruined a great song

  • @chaouchdali I don't know if a song this great can be ruined by anybody, but what I think is true is that although I like Duffy a lot, this was not a good song choice for her at least done this way.

  • micky mouse?

  • much money, much production.

(The guitar of the middle in the song is ?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿)

The song Is not bad anyway altough

i prefer Cat Stevens & of course PP Arnold singing

  • @theunique82 I just discovered PP Arnold the other day singing backup on The Small Faces "Tin Soldier". There sure were a lot of great female singers in the 60s. I was too young to really be following it then.

  • Also Sheryl Crow version one of the best....

    with the unbelievable Linda Ronstadt

  • anyhow I think she is hipnotic, I sit down to hear a song of hers and sit hear for two hours listening to every version I can.

  • How anybody can say this is better than P P arnold is unbelieable. Of all the 'versions' Pps score 20 outof 20. Sung with power, passion and soul

  • @Kiwicat ...well i've been doing music for over 35 years & i can!!! & i have never heard either of the 2 sing before..the p arnold is nice...but it isn't even close..but thats why they are called opinions

  • @Kiwicat i agree pp arnolds was by far and away the best, duffy is good but this doesnt even com eclose

  • Cat Stevens a great great singer and songwriter.Very nice version.

  • I remember pp arnold doing it in 67, and later Cat who wrote it, then Rod. This version has equal weight. Duffy is one of the few singers today to disprove the theory that we haven't had any talent since the 60's.

  • cat stevens didn't write it. it was norma fraser.

  • It's Cat. Norma was a cover version also.

  • Cat Stevens wrote this song in 1967.

  • uh no cat wrote it in 67 she covered it

  • @playbic15 - Cat stevens wrote this for pp arnold, hers was the first release and then he liked it so much he released it very soon after, in fact i think they were in the charts at the same time

  • very uniquely sang...her own style

  • I have this version on my MP3. I listen to it at least once a day. Duffy is amazing!

  • Simply magical so many artists have done this song over the last forty plus years but none better than this version. No disrespect to the others intended just sometimes something unexpected happens and a performance moves beyond the lyrics and the score giving us, the listener, a glimpse of greatness. This is one such occasion.

  • dyzalott: My god have some respect! People like you don't get it, if there is no respect for the pioneers then there is nothing. Understand the first didn't have the technology its was all raw, all Duffy is doing is a form of impersonation. This is not her style but someone elses so have some respect.

  • @Dyzalott she sounds like a whailin banshee. motown at it's fakest!

  • Duffy rocks!

  • it is sooooo goood

  • proper song, proper singer

  • duffy is so sexy and she has a wonderful voice.i want her!!!!!!!

  • WOW superb solo for this song first time ive ever heard it for this song

  • maybe you should check out Rod Stewart's version, cuz compared to that one, this solo ain't all that..if you'd ask me..

  • well rod stewart had a great guitarist in his song and a great solo

i went to his concert 4 months back

its probably the guitarist's guitar in this video that made me so amazed

now that i watch it again it aint that good haha

  • haha,I can understand that ;)

  • i dont really like duffy

but anyway is a good version of this song

  • Splendid version. Duffy's voice not only does the song justice, it's perfect for it. Great band, too. By the way, I guess Jools looks kind of creepy cause he's got a crush on Duffy. Well, who wouldn't...

  • @reggenboggen Can't blame Jools, I've got a crush on Duffy, too. I guess he's got a better shot, huh?

  • Duffy is good, but her voice in this one just doesn't do the song justice.

  • haha @ the creepy pianist @ 2:14

  • Creepy Pianist? That´s Jools Holland!

  • I don't even know who that is! Obviously someone important! Still creepy though..... Just found it funny 'cause he reminded me of someone...

  • The Host of this Television Show.
