I love my beagle. Me and my fiancee do this all the time and he joins in with us. I'm not sure what it actually means. Is it just him copying "the pack" just so he feels part of us? That has been my guess, but I could be wrong (I usually am)

Maybe it's not used to other dogs?Propably take it (on a leash) out to meet other dogs. Then reward your dog with treats and compliments when it behaves around the other dogs. Pull the dog away as soon as it shows agressive behaviour.

yeah beagles are known to have seperation anxiety, once they become close to someone they never forget you, i use to baby sit my neighbors beagle "ram". back in 94' thay moved to arizona six went by and they drove over to california to family and came by too see and ram instantley knew who iwas it took him about an hour to calm down, i now have two and they are truly the best dogs to have
