And even thou they rarely or never attack and eat humans they can still be extremely dangerous if they are hurt or have babies. Seriously, one of the main reasons hunters have dogs while hunting boars is so the boar will attack the dog and not the hunter if something goes wrong!

It has happened many times that people have been chased or even hurt (or maybe even killed, but nobody at the forum i checked said they got killed, but then again it's hard to say that when you're dead) by boars because they accidentally and without knowing it got between a boar mother and her babies when taking a morning walk.
