don't get me wrong this is VERY nicely played, especially for her age, but i don't think she's mature enough to understand the feeling and dynamics of this piece. a little bit older and she could play this perfectly with more emotion and phrasing
@silvermonky123 Actually my first thought was similar: Very talented indeed and when she matures to the point where she can grasp what the dynamics, phrasing etc can do for this piece, she will soar. Not fair to compare her to someone at that stage yet. At this age, best to concentrate on technical accuracy and an even line which she executes beautifully. I can't wait to hear her perform it in a few years. Bravo !
Complimenti davvero! Era un po' troppo nervosa però, non vedeva l'ora di finire, a causa di questo ha fatto qualche piccolo errore, ma io che ho 16 anni ancora non sono capace assolutamente di suonare qualcosa di simile, e soprattutto non così bene. Bravissima!!
I played this piece a few years a ago when I was 18..I thought I was doing well...obviously not...this girl puts me to shame...she plays it very well!
Holy crap that was AWESOME. Some of the other little kids being posted on YouTube playing difficult songs have so much work left to make it real nice, but you played that piece so well. Good job.
maaaaaaan I am learning that now=( and I´m 14. I just started playing the piano one year ago, but I wish I would have started much earlier =(°°° 5* such a talented girl
Incredible. In that age I just didn't touch a key of the piano. And actually: Compare this version with Zimerman's. It's not professionally recorded but the playing is just stunning.
Hi there. You said you were learning this song. Could it be anyway possible i could get sheets for this if you have them ? :) i would love to learn this.
Gifted Kid ! I have a suggestion to teacher ! It seems She doesn't use PEDAL at all !? but in general You did great job! I mean for her age....8 years old, this peace is horribly complicated (physically)
Nice video, but...You're so talented as it looks. But I think that you ought not play that. There're some compositions you have to live many years and see life..That Schubert impromptu is like that I think..Your playing is nice, although in some places you may have to practice in slow tempo. I think you may need some years to livin' to play that really authentic. Just practice a lot and have experiences..On the other hand that's nice work!
Gabe, you are cardinally wrong in your perception. All pieces should be played at all stages of the development of a pianist. There are always new creative ideas and ways of perfection coming with age and maturity. It's like reading Shakespeare: you can read him at the age of 9 and be deeply affected, and the at 40 again, and different valuable imprints will be left on your soul. Try to reach for the stars even if you are still small, and maybe some day one will glow in your hand...
This is nice. Her technique is excellent and beyond what words can describe. However, I feel her speed is a bit fast, and she could play it with a little more emotion and dynamics. For example, in the C section with the broken chords, the accent on the first beat is a bit too obvious. Besides that and a few other things, I think Erica is well on her way to becoming a fine pianist. She already is a great one!!!
The running passages sound close to professional...the ben marcato part has very wide chords and it's amazing she's played them convincingly and she definitely has got huge talent!
Thats maybe why she plays this piece because it is supposed to be playing without pedal :-) But very good ideed for that age (i hope her parents aren't pushing her too hard)
Very well done! I've been playing for 15 years and I always love coming back and playing this song :) Only thing I would say is you cut off some of the half notes rather early in the left hand part, but other than that, great job.
Lol.. Her skills are amazing.. But, if you have played a song over 100 times to master it, obviously you dont need sheets.. its simply muscle memory...
BRAVO! Finally, somebody that doesn't use too much pedal in the A section! What a wonderful rendition overallI give a gazilion out of five :D!
