@fenixflyer91 Maybe if you lived in a ghetto. Seriously, Ohio is a great place with great opportunities. It's second for the most presidents with seven, just behind VA with eight. People like Neil Armstrong, Ulysses S. Grant, and the Wright Brothers were all native to Ohio.
I know a lot of people who would call Ohio one of the dumbest states in America, but some of the biggest contributors to humanity were born here, so I wouldn't call it a "shithole" by any means.
@GdSamaritan what does the number of presidents have to do with anything? That's like saying "Americ is is great because all of the American presidents are from there!"
That is to say a pointless statistic...
Also some would say that that's a reason that it is NOT a great place considering how well ran America has been.. :P
@AngelusDlion Obviously, there's something about Ohio that causes people to strive to lead. Whether they're great leaders or not, it's better than sitting on their ass like you and I. Another thing, we've had two different presidents that could have arguably contributed to America's current economical state, and it's not even the fault of those presidents. The Republicans are hammering America into the ground with their policies. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be having these issues.
@AngelusDlion Scratch that, it WAS Bush's fault. But it wasn't Obama's.
Also, that's the most pathetic analogy I've ever heard. I don't even know where you got it from. I never said anything like that, and I never implied anything like that.
As far as I'm aware, Mott the Hoople never did this song (maybe at their reunion concert at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2009? - I can't remember)
"Cleveland Rocks" was released as a track on "You're Never Alone With a Schizophrenic" circa 1977 (?) by Mott's ex-lead singer, Ian Hunter - a very under-rated songwriter.
It was also released as a single in the UK as "England Rocks."
This song was originally performed by Mott the Hoople. The only vids on Youtube of the song are from Ian Hunter-former Mott the Hoople lead vocalist. This version from the Presidents, like Cleveland, ROCKS!
I love this song. I'm not from Cleveland, but every time I've gone, I've just felt this special connection. I can't explain it, it's just so beautiful. Why can't Buffalo be like that?
presidents rocked they were just a fun band with alot of god songs if people took the to listen attitude. Music that had a positive not that is such a rarity today
