continuing... I thanks God every day that I got made redundant from my previous employer in SA and it took that hardship and the black economical empowerment policies/affirmative action policies of SA, to push me out. Africa is not for sissie, but neither is immigration. If you can, get out and if you can't just know this, you are in my prayers and the prayers of a million other ex patriots.
I hardly have word to describe my sympathy towards the people featured in this peace. I (white afrikaans) left South Africa to be able to experience the things that Gnubnub below talks about, but also before it was to late. I'm one of the lucky one. Thanks to the instruction of Charles Nqakula, I left and my family is safer. I'm sad to call myself South African, because I think South Africa is dying one innocent person at a time. I mis my people, but I treasure my freedom and here I'm free.
How did all the incidents happen anyway? I mean, if i stay at home at night, lock doors and windows properly, use public transport instead of driving, will it be safe for me?
I'm considering having a business trip to S.A. for abt 8 weeks.
....but maybe it just means they are willing to say something, or maybe the 'other' people already know the government won't do anything anyway, so they don't waste their time talking to a brick wall of a president.
@cagelsthrough - You are only seeing Boers because they have become the voice against the violence. Black on black violence are rampant and if you dare speak out against it as a black person you are sure to be beaten by your fellow Africans who support the Government! Instead of always accusing the Boers of racism people should be supporting their cries against these atrocities against the people of SA - all the people of SA!!!
With a heavy heart I have watched this documentary. If you have been touched by crime my heart goes out to you as I myself have been through it. Luckily I am here today. Feel free to check out my page on Face b00k, just search for the page entitled S.O.S (sick of sh12) you will find me there.
Very powerfull documentary. I have been to South Africa many times and it is a very special place, never experienced any crime, but met people and listened to the horror stories. I know if it wasn't for the crime problem, investment from Europe and the United States would be huge. You talk to anyone about SA and the typical response is fantastic place but the crime is out of control. It would appear that the Government do not have any affective policy in place to deal with it.
i think it's all because of racism....APARTHEID
