I met a few SEALs during my time as a Corpsman. Always mad respect for them, and they always seemed to be the nicest guys on Earth. Nothing to prove, I suppose, they'd already proved it all.
Takes me back to my days as a Marine and Army paratrooper. Got a whole lot of respect for the Navy SEALS, if you want the ultimate test from what I have read trying going through BUDS. hats off to these guys.
People who are saying some of those are Corps cadences, you're right. But the Corps is apart of the Navy. And the title says U.S. NAVY and Seal Cadences right?
So many ppl argue over who is the best. Some say Army, some say USMC, some say USAF, some say Navy, some even say USCG. Everybody just needs to shut up and appreciate the fact that we have a military that is willing & able to perform the tasks at hand. NO BRANCH IS BETTER THAN "ALL THE REST." What it comes down to is this: Join the branch that YOU like the best, not what everybody says is the best. Unless a person has served in EVERY branch, they know shit.
@MistAndMidnightSky i don't think you can do that. i asked a EOD veteran if i do EOD will it prepare me for BUD/s and he said no because the government would spend too much money on the programs. sadly i am led to believe you are only able to do only one. best choice i say would be buds. only time you are able to join buds is from active service.
@PolishGROM389 You can. It's been done before. Read "The Warrior Elite: The Forging of SEAL Class 228" by Former Navy SEAL Dick Couch. There was 1 Former Recon Marine in the BUD/S Class and 4 other Former Marines of other MOS's. And in his other book "The Finishing School: Earning The Navy SEAL Trident"- which was when he followed Class 2-02 during their SQT (SEAL Qualification Training) there were 4 Former Marines there. And I've asked Navy Recruiters, they said you can transfer.
@PolishGROM389 Once your contract expires. I'm going into the Marine Reserves, signing the contract for 6-years. I will be 24 at that time, I will then sign up for Active Duty Navy with the BUD/S contract, which means once I finish Navy Boot Camp I will be sent to Coronado, California for the SEAL Screening Test- when I pass I am sent to a BUD/S Class for Indoctrination. I've done my homework, brother. So, in conclusion, it is possible to do both, it takes alot of training, but it's possible.

@HazeGreyAndUnderway Congrats then. I hope you like your job and enjoy being in college as well. @HazeGreyAndUnderway piss off the user you originally said "videogames are for kids" to. If so its understandable. If not, well I disagree but it was still stupid to post what I did. So in conclusion I apologize for the more insulting bits in my original post.
@Spikesoldat wow what an ignorant fuck you are, it is obvious that Sea Cadets are for youth, They can't join the REAL Navy til 17 or 18, as a former Navy Sea Cadet myself I can tell you it is the road for most of us who end up serving the Armed Forces more prepared than your regular recruit, I myself am also working on joining now the NROTC just like the Uploader of the video is ...It pisses me off to hear / read such immature comments. Many Soldiers,Sailors,Marines, etc are former cadets.
ok when that seacadet goes into the navy, and starts as an ens. you will still be a p.o.1 and you will wish you had of been in the sea cadets. and by being a cadet, he is doing what he can to join the real navy, because last time i checked you had to be 18 to be in the military. and another thing...as a cadet atleast you arent sitting on your ass playing call of duty like most teenagers are...the program is there for a reason.
How the fuck doesn't this guy know the difference between Marine Corp and Seals? If your going to do a Military cadence video. Do your research? I shows that you care and respect the sacrifice these Shipmates are making.
@HoorahNavy85 I say again, some cadences are shared, especially when it comes to Seabee and Marine cadences. Also, Windows Movie Maker didnt help as it couldn't play some cadences in their entirety for some reason.
@TheUprisingNinja No, the United States Marine Corps is still part of the Department of the Navy. Ask any Marine who they are a payee of and who gives them their paycheck.
If coast guard can go 2 buds then why cant Marines after all were department of the Navy and definetly more capable of passing it if so let me no were i can find the info at im leaving 4 Marine bootcamp next month and i would love 2 be a seal in the near future if given the opportunity.. if not well MarSoc dont look so bad either
@HazeGreyAndUnderway Just thought you might like to know, one of your images here isn't of American sailors at all. It is British Special Boat Squadron. You can tell by the Limey camo pattern they're wearing. Still, they're some pretty hard boys themselves, so it fits.
You haven't got a freaking clue what you're talking about. The SEALs are Navy. Going through Marine Boot won't get you a shot at BUD/S. It is exclusively US Navy or US Coast Guard personnel. I have no clue where you get off yelling and cursing at people, telling them to get their facts straight, but I'd advise you to check yours.
@CrusaderSven When did they start letting the USCG start going to BUD/S? Man I knew they needed SEALs but reaching to other branches makes it look like the Navy can't man up lol.
It is a relatively recent thing, from the article I found in the Navy Times. Apparently, the Navy made a deal with the Coast Guard to allow a VERY limited number of Coasties to go through BUD/S, so that there would be some Coasties with special operations experience, and with the SEAL counter-terror training. Honestly, if they make the Coasties go through all of the same training, with the same chance of drop-out, then I have no problem at all. If they can hack it, let em...
@CrusaderSven iff your a marine and want to be a SEAL you have to finish your job as a marine and go into the navy, then you can become a SEAL many marines do this
@philipinoidiot yeah, I think you get 4 years as being a Marine ( i don't know much about this) but i think once you're done being a Marine, you go to any Navy Recruiter and ask you want to be Join the Navy,(he'll most likely ask what you wanna be) you'll say you wanna be a Navy SEAL, (but after that you'll say you will be in The Marines) so you allrighty had training and if you went of to War,, you'll most likely be a Navy SEAL cuz most EX Marines are :P sorry i was late as hell
@JCSMartinez2 No, you cannot. It is primarily Navy, with a VERY limited quota of Coast Guard personnel, in order to give at least some Coasties special operations experience.
in order for you to even make it to BUDs you got to do the pst and thats the qualification test and you got to pass it one time a month for 3-5 months so then they pull out the best scores then you got basic training which is boot camp then they place you in the 800 division which is the spec ops divison and after graduation then you go to indoc which is pre BUDs it just prepares you for BUDs and then when your done then you got to BUDS
@BIOLOGIK2 Dang 800 divs weren't even around when I joined. Qualifying for BUD/s is actaully easy to do however, Making it through Bud/s is well you know. Did thet start that pre bootcamp PST at the same time as the 800's?
My RDC's were the first ones to DI the 800's lol. PO1 Finters and PO1 Elles.
Can someone help me answer this question please?!?: Can you become a US Navy SEAL through The US Marine Corps, or is it only possible to become one through the Navy? I've asked it a couple of times but have only gotten two answers. One person said that you can only become a SEAL through the Navy because they are two completely different branches, but the other response said that it is possible to join through The Marines. Can someone help me please?
Passing-thanks for the kind words. Some fanboys on here truly don't know the difference between Navy SEALS and United States Marines, and thats sad.
HazeGrey-I know that many cadences are used throughout different services, and changed around slightly. However, you advertise this video as being NAVY and NAVY SEAL cadences ONLY. Then you insert Marine Corp cadences. If you changed the title to say "Navy, Navy SEAL and Marine Corps cadences" it would make more sense. Ya know?
But see that's where I have the angle: I included the said cadences in a separate series listed solely as USMC cadences. I used the cadences in both series's. Look at my "Cadences" playlist. I did this in the first place to satisfy both worlds, as I acted on request and suggestion. So yes, I had planned for this before I even began posting my videos.
There was one Joint Branch base near where I live in CA, Marine Recon, Navy Seals, Rangers, does the Air Force have a special force? anyways they I saw em PT when I drove by. OORAH HOOYAH HOOAH
@haloisback FUCKING STOP. you don't know what you're talking about. you little kid..get some god damn real information. @landocommando1994 sorry bout that little kid. if you wanna be a SEAL..i suggest going through Marine Corps boot camp..cause it will put you in the best shape..then you can go to BUDS training after that bro..that way if you don't make SEALs..then you can still have a combat job in the Corps
You should be fit beforehand, and isn't it a fact, you have to be really good in the navy? You have to be good at swimming, PT, shooting, etc. BUDS is just seperating the good and ok, then the SEAL training is next
@haloisback no dude. it isn't that you have to be good in the navy. any fucking branch can try to be a seal. i know what BUDS is, but you have to fuckin pass that shit first before you can go to SEAL training. and my recommendation is to not shoot before you go to boot camp at least for the Corps ..because they teach you a different way to shoot. and you're wrong about BUDS. it pulls the BEST of the BEST from the rest.
@USMC2010DoOrDIE Are you retarted man?Is their a correlation between the two words Navy and Seal in your head? They are called Navy Seals for a reason.
@USMC2010DoOrDIE I hate to say it but SEALs is a sailor only program. No other branch can be a Navy Seal. The exception is Marine Officers and they are very few and far between. They first have to transfer to the Navy from Marines which can take a little time. I think they should however allow all Marines try for SEALs concidering they are a little short handed and the Marines are a department of the Navy.
@haloisback you really are a dumbfucker and know nothing about navy seals buds is teaching the basics of being a navy seal than they get into more advanced training. so please learn your facts.
Cadences are shared throughout all the branches, the words just get switched around in some places. The most common similarities you'll find are the ones between Navy and USMC cadences. Heard MANY of 'em, got to sing and chant quite a few of them, by various outlets.
Haha, relax. i understand peeps always bring bullshit to the comments. i aint bullshiting like i said to woodyay1 i respect all branches. with no disrepect to this cadence it is motivating. Just letting u kno not to over react towards me. aint here to type argument cus that just sounds plain dumb u feel me? just so u kno , i hope were kool like that bro.
@semperfi14733 Honestly a cadence is a cadence, each branch has there own and then ones they took from others and just modified. How do we know they didnt all orginiate from the army?
u can totally tell when its a SEAL cadence or a Navy one...basic Navy is all number one and a bunch of random yelling of words, Navy SEAL ones are stories haha

@HazeGreyAndUnderway Just thought you might like to know, one of your images here isn't of American sailors at all. It is British Special Boat Squadron. You can tell by the Limey camo pattern they're wearing. Still, they're some pretty hard boys themselves, so it fits.

@USMC2010DoOrDIE
CrusaderSven 1 year ago
@CrusaderSven When did they start letting the USCG start going to BUD/S? Man I knew they needed SEALs but reaching to other branches makes it look like the Navy can't man up lol.
crawford229 1 year ago
@crawford229
CrusaderSven 1 year ago
@CrusaderSven iff your a marine and want to be a SEAL you have to finish your job as a marine and go into the navy, then you can become a SEAL many marines do this
meowmixthe 1 year ago
can u tell me more?
philipinoidiot 1 year ago
@philipinoidiot yeah, I think you get 4 years as being a Marine ( i don't know much about this) but i think once you're done being a Marine, you go to any Navy Recruiter and ask you want to be Join the Navy,(he'll most likely ask what you wanna be) you'll say you wanna be a Navy SEAL, (but after that you'll say you will be in The Marines) so you allrighty had training and if you went of to War,, you'll most likely be a Navy SEAL cuz most EX Marines are :P sorry i was late as hell
meowmixthe 1 year ago
total awesomeness!
Aeroanhspace 1 year ago
But Can you do it through The Marine Corps?!?!??!? That's my question.
JCSMartinez2 1 year ago
@JCSMartinez2 No, you cannot. It is primarily Navy, with a VERY limited quota of Coast Guard personnel, in order to give at least some Coasties special operations experience.
CrusaderSven 1 year ago
in order for you to even make it to BUDs you got to do the pst and thats the qualification test and you got to pass it one time a month for 3-5 months so then they pull out the best scores then you got basic training which is boot camp then they place you in the 800 division which is the spec ops divison and after graduation then you go to indoc which is pre BUDs it just prepares you for BUDs and then when your done then you got to BUDS
.
BIOLOGIK2 1 year ago
@BIOLOGIK2 Dang 800 divs weren't even around when I joined. Qualifying for BUD/s is actaully easy to do however, Making it through Bud/s is well you know. Did thet start that pre bootcamp PST at the same time as the 800's?
My RDC's were the first ones to DI the 800's lol. PO1 Finters and PO1 Elles.

@USMC2010DoOrDIE or Anyone!
JCSMartinez2 1 year ago
you have to join the navy if you want to be a SEAL.

HazeGreyAndUnderway 2 years ago
Passing-thanks for the kind words. Some fanboys on here truly don't know the difference between Navy SEALS and United States Marines, and thats sad.
HazeGrey-I know that many cadences are used throughout different services, and changed around slightly. However, you advertise this video as being NAVY and NAVY SEAL cadences ONLY. Then you insert Marine Corp cadences. If you changed the title to say "Navy, Navy SEAL and Marine Corps cadences" it would make more sense. Ya know?
wilb6657 2 years ago
But see that's where I have the angle: I included the said cadences in a separate series listed solely as USMC cadences. I used the cadences in both series's. Look at my "Cadences" playlist. I did this in the first place to satisfy both worlds, as I acted on request and suggestion. So yes, I had planned for this before I even began posting my videos.

I like the Easy Run cadence. It made me smile. Can't wait to be a Naval Officer.

Some of these cadences aren't even Navy SEAL cadences! The second one is a marine one.

@wilb6657 Marines and Sailors sometime PT together.
jacktaterman124 2 years ago 4
Yep....but SEALS and Marines hardly PT together.

@wilb6657 true that. but this is a SEAL and Navy cadence. lol.

thats cool i wanna be a Navy SEAL i used to want to be a marine till i found out about the SEALs 6 yrs ago
landocommando1994 2 years ago
@landocommando1994
you have to be really good in the navy then
haloisback 2 years ago
@haloisback FUCKING STOP. you don't know what you're talking about. you little kid..get some god damn real information. @landocommando1994 sorry bout that little kid. if you wanna be a SEAL..i suggest going through Marine Corps boot camp..cause it will put you in the best shape..then you can go to BUDS training after that bro..that way if you don't make SEALs..then you can still have a combat job in the Corps
USMC2010DoOrDIE 2 years ago
@USMC2010DoOrDIE
You should be fit beforehand, and isn't it a fact, you have to be really good in the navy? You have to be good at swimming, PT, shooting, etc. BUDS is just seperating the good and ok, then the SEAL training is next
haloisback 2 years ago
@haloisback no dude. it isn't that you have to be good in the navy. any fucking branch can try to be a seal. i know what BUDS is, but you have to fuckin pass that shit first before you can go to SEAL training. and my recommendation is to not shoot before you go to boot camp at least for the Corps ..because they teach you a different way to shoot. and you're wrong about BUDS. it pulls the BEST of the BEST from the rest.
USMC2010DoOrDIE 2 years ago
@USMC2010DoOrDIE Are you retarted man?Is their a correlation between the two words Navy and Seal in your head? They are called Navy Seals for a reason.
gear114 1 year ago
@USMC2010DoOrDIE I hate to say it but SEALs is a sailor only program. No other branch can be a Navy Seal. The exception is Marine Officers and they are very few and far between. They first have to transfer to the Navy from Marines which can take a little time. I think they should however allow all Marines try for SEALs concidering they are a little short handed and the Marines are a department of the Navy.
crawford229 1 year ago
@crawford229 Thats False a new reg came down a few months ago that allowed all marines and even coast guards to apply
aluckyb 1 year ago
@haloisback you really are a dumbfucker and know nothing about navy seals buds is teaching the basics of being a navy seal than they get into more advanced training. so please learn your facts.
holyinator 9 months ago
Cadences are shared throughout all the branches, the words just get switched around in some places. The most common similarities you'll find are the ones between Navy and USMC cadences. Heard MANY of 'em, got to sing and chant quite a few of them, by various outlets.
