  • the 4 that disliked this must of gotten the big leg drop

  • Why do I have this feeling when Hogan dies that particular song will be played?

  • Hulk Hogan - I'll be back

  • oh my god!!

when a saw this the first time 1990 - i was absolutley shocked! next morning i go NOT working!

one of the greatest angles ever - extremly emotional.

  • By this time, I was not as big a Hogan fan anymore, but this angel was his best, because in addition to being very emotional and Earthquake getting heat from the fans, it showed Hogan in a different light. He was not the big 'superhero' who was as indestructable as people thought..and they REALLY thought he would quit the business. I know this was probably for him to take time off, but the great days of kayfabe before the internet had us really thinking this was it for him. Well done guys!

  • I would like to have this tribut , but redo it all keep the music & turn it into a 9/11 tribute if anyone follows where I am going with this

  • @bigwillietheb Actually somebody did that a couple of years ago which lead into the Real American theme but I think it got taken down.

  • When he does the head shake....gives me chills.

  • I was depressed for a long time after this... Man I wanted Earthquake's head on a steel pike!

  • Hey emotion is emotion regardless of age. Hulk Hogan touched millions of people just like Ali or Jordan. They go beyond their sport. The music that accompanies this video is also very powerful and emmotive.

  • This had me sad for many reasons, Im 28, and I have memories of this. And looking at it now. Liz is gone, mACH IS GONE, Warrior hates him, Shiek hates him. I really miss the innocence of wrestling

  • Hulkamania Will never Die.

  • this had me messed up as a five year old lol

  • hell yeah lol this shit had me messed up as a five year old lol

  • This still brings tears to my eyes to this day. I was four when this happened. Wrestling today just doesn't have this sort of drama and build up today.....

  • Hogan came back and started whooping Earthquake's ass on a nightly basis, so it's all gravy

  • RIP Hulkster

  • I remember this like it was yesterday. My friend called this video 'Scary Music' because the music was scary. We were not sure if he would ever come back.

  • asterix

  • Simply awesome :( :) !

  • This is one the most emotional promos ever brother. The one good thing that came out of it though was the introduction of the fourth demandment BELIEVING IN YOURSELF. HULKAMANIA WILL LIVE FOREVER BROTHER!

  • Wow me watching this brought back some painful memories in 1990. now i'm 46 years old and i still cried when this happened. Long Live the Kayfabe.... and long live WWF golden era.

  • @tonshaad1230 Ok if you are 46 now that means you were 25 in 1990 and you were crying when Earthquake attacked Hogan...Ok i was 9 then and i cried but the thing is i was NINE!!!! you were 25 BAHAHAHAHA!!

  • @HBK344356 LOL

  • This is why kayfabe is so important. It's pretty much gone now but as a kid, you believed every second and had an emotional attachment. Nowadays, The Big Show can throw John Cena through a huge spotlight and Cena comes back the next night. There's no reason for emotional investment anymore. Thanks for the video!

  • @maximusrex1979

So very true. That whole summer was not the same. Even now watching it, I get the flashbacks of yesteryears.. when wrestling RULED!

I'm also born in 79.. one of the best age to have been a wrestling fan!

  • When I cried real tears of grief over this as a kid, then and there I knew I was a true, blue, diehard HULKAMANIAC!!

  • @RAV52 So true.. this is crazy, how we call all relate to this one moment when we really thought the great estforce, person and hero really died or something.

  • hulk hogan raped me

  • the shockmaster at 2:11

  • which is sadder this or superman's legacy ending in a special must read comic dc isssue

  • @romans52345 I see whats u mean I thought the little girl was 3 or 4 years old so I automatically thought that its was Brooke.

    Thanks friend !

  • @romans52345 I see whats you mean I thought the little girl was 3 or 4 years old.

    Thanks!

  • @romans52345 I see whats you mean I thought the little girl was 3 or 4 years old.

    Thanks!

  • I remember watching this as a kid and crying when Earthquake did this. This angle was underrated IMO. RIP John Tenta.

  • Bobby Heenan put it best when he said Hogan should be remembered as the biggest attraction in the history of wrestling. He talked about seeing grown men and women in the front row crying when Hogan went down.

  • i remember when they aired this because hogan(kayfabe) was injured but actually did a movie called suburban commando at that time and wanted to take more time off

  • @thegameison100 I think he would have been better off actually getting hurt than making that movie.

  • Reading these comments and watching this video shows me everyone cared for this man. I was around 32? when I sent this man a Post-card saying get well soon, me and my neighbors were in awe. For the first time we didn't do anything but just watch.

  • I remember this. I had it on VHS and my dad recorded over it thinking it was his tape. Man I was PISSED! My friend called this 'Scary Music' when Earthquake came down.

  • ohhh earthquakes balls right on his face

  • ohhh earthquakes balls right on his face

  • @TheUnknownchicken hell yea man, its funny how you think this shit is real when your 9 years old

  • haha fake he make a movie

  • RIP John Tenta

  • I soo wanted Miss Elizabeth to still manage him.. I liked their chemistry together.. it seemed very qenuine unlike her relationship with Randy that just seemed so controlling..

  • I loved this tribute to hulk. I remember it bringing tears in my eyes when I was a kid. It still does today watching it. HULK RULES!!!!

  • Earthquake looked like Chang Koehan, one of my favorite fighting game characters.

Hogan was honored in a fighting game too, with the character Muscle Power.

  • Godbless John Tenta,so underrated in the ring and deserved more in his career.

  • I think that the girl holding a Hulk Hogan teddy bear is Brooke.

  • @AngeLBarraganJR i don't think so seeing that brooke was only two years old at this time....the girl in this video is at least 6 or 7....

  • Im not ashamed to admit but I actualy wrote letter to Hulk so im a Hulkamania 4 life.

As a kid I remember seeing the tribute video on SUPERSTARS when I was in TJ. Earthquake was my favorite heel and it was cool of Hogan to put Earthquake over too bad its didnt work on Tugboat.

  • The bit that puts tears in my eyes is when Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior hug eachother. This really brings back so many memories. I will be a Hulkamaniac FOREVER!!! LONG LIVE HULKAMANIA BROTHER!!!

  • Holy shit.....I've been searching for this clip for years!! Thanks for posting!

  • Youre the greatest Hulk!

  • OLD SCHOOL wwf... I was 12 years old! Hulkamania rules!

  • It was 1990.

    May 26, 1990.

Rochester New York where this happened

  • RIP earthquake

  • Comment removed

  • Actually this was 1990. A few months before summerslam 1990. I was watching when this video happened

  • I sobbed.

  • i remember my lil brother wanted to kill me because i laugh my ass off and cheered when earthquake sat on hogan.

  • Batista Should hut Cena Like this just to see how many Kids cry then whan Cena omes back Batista Dose it agine and cena turns heel whean he come back

  • @ultimatewarrior87 batista??? hell no Viscera would be better he do a big splash 2 or more lmao

  • Hulkamaina will live forever brother !

  • Classic WWF/E at its best. The reason why Earthquake put Hogan out of action for awhile was because Hulk had to shoot that crappy "Suburban Commando" movie. Oh, and his then-wife Linda was giving birth to son Nick.

BTW, I didn't fall for the "Get Well Hulk" gimmick.

  • EPIC

  • i remember seeing this video on hulkamania IV coliseum home video version & didnt they do the evil sinister theme for the hulk slaughter WWF Title Wrestlemania VII Buildup as well?

  • @stone85 This video along with this whole angle was on the coliseum home video Hulkamania 5 dubbed Hulkamania Forever....

  • @romans52345 i remember renting that video was that the video where i think i saw that on wwe 247 demand where hogan was behind the scenes of suburband commando as a reason in a storyline to take off to film for the summer of 1990 for a fall 1991 release ironically his feud in late 1991 the undertaker we all know is in that film lol

  • The Music sounds like Hogan's theme being played on Mario Paint.

  • 2:53 :(

  • This reminds me of the time when king kong bundy broke hulk's ribs on SMNE.

Muraco was holding Hulk in the corner and Bundy just avalanched him!

  • ur fucked

  • Optimus Prime's Death ain't got nothing over this.

  • LOL! priceless my friend

  • @conradojavier It doesn't but it still hurt like hell ...

  • It's too bad that earthquake had to do this to hogan. I heard he broke every one of hogan's ribs.

Look at Jimmy hart and Brother Love egging earthquake on!! They were just as much at fault as the earthquake!!!!

  • Hogan is the best ever....the full package! Fuck the haters

  • When he actually passes away one day they should play this theme at his funeral. It would only be right..

  • No no man what they should play is "The world just lost another Hulamaniac"

  • Hahahaha, finally found it!!! Thank you very much for posting, I watched this when it was broadcasted in 1990 through Eurosport....... Great wrestling days and indeed, fantastic video editting. Hulkamania will live forever!!

  • It's still real to me, Dammit!!!!!!!

  • The WWF (now the WWE) always had EXCELLENT video editing. This was very well put together by the World Wrestling Federation - especially the sad music and slowed-down sequences.

    RIP Earthquake.

  • I remeber this! I was a kid back then and I though it was the end of Hulkamania. They did a good job with this story arc. Hyping up Earthquake and getting the kids all sad, so that when Hogan came back and beat Earthquake everyone was all happy.

  • if someone could please make a Tom Brady mash-up using this theme, pleeeeease do it

  • The one thing that would put some spice on this video package is WWE re-editting this, and putting Ron Simmons on the screen where he could say, "Damn".

  • Quake Rules

  • it's strange how all the kids back then all cried because of Earthquake's vicious attack.... you know what's strange....John Tenta (Earthquake) is now dead (as a result of bladder cancer) and Hogan is still alive and well.... how ironic....is it just me or is there somthing wrong with that picture????

  • Classic! I remember seeing this from a dingy VHS when I was 6 or 7. I was a massive Hulkamaniac and genuinely distraught when I saw what Earthquake did, he became the ultimate bad guy. It's a laugh what they (WWF) do to poor kids making them think that John Tenta really did crush Terry Bollea. Of course now I know what Hogan is like (a douchebag) and I couldn't care less if some guy crushed him. But still this vid is such a vivid memory, thanks a mill for posting.

  • add the hogan promo, were announces his comeback in 90.

    JON

  • What Would Hogan Do?

I dont care about the behind the curtain politics, the creative control cards, the whatever else goes on with him and if it is real or not.

I love Hogan because he entertained me through the years. That is what he was suppose to do and for that I will always be a faithful Hulkamaniac.

  • if they did this for john cena today everyone would laugh there ass of at how bad it would be

  • i hate how theyre trying to make Cena the ultimate hero like The Rock or Hogan, they should simply realize hes just too corny to ever be the main WWE hero, they should focus on someone else, any suggestions?

  • I think Taker & HBK have been pretty big heroes over the years. But my all time favorite "good guys" will always be Hulk Hogan & Bret Hart. Because even if you believed wrestling was all fake, you always knew you can belive what they told you.

  • does anyone have Hogan on Johnny Carson??

  • i remember watching this on TV and crying my eyes out as he was stretchered off, i hated Earthquake so much, i sent Hogan a card and i got 1 back, i was so happy to have recieved a reply even though it was a generic one!! I was 10 years old, im now 27 and im still a hulkamaniac!!!

  • well you know something brother...I cried my eyes out too...I'm 30

  • I also cried like a little girl. I'm 27 now and I'll always remember Hogan's inspiration.

  • @jfreeman33 i concur totally with what you say mate

  • @jfreeman33 yea man I remember turning the tv off and crying in my bed room. Im 29 and Hulk still rules

  • @jfreeman33 ta i felt d same i was sitting on my dads lap and cryed so much i hated earthquake and my dad god rest his soul told me not to cry hogan will be back and when he did i was so happy

  • @jfreeman33 im a year younger then you Jfreeman and i also remeber seeing this on wwf tv over the weekend thank you to Daniel for posting this it really takes me back!

  • @jfreeman33 yeah man, I'm 26 and I remember all this too. Good times indeed!

  • Man, i remember this from when i was a kid. I think it was on 'hulkamania forever' on VHS. I cried over this video as a kid!

  • I remember this video too. I watched it on TV. I think it was back in July 1990. I was nine years old at the time.

  • how vey sad

  • i was 8 years old when this happened. i remember seeing this video and i balled my eyes out. i thought hogan was hurt to the point where he could no longer wrestle.

i sent him a card and got one back. it was the happiest day ever, until he got revenge on earthquake.

    seems like yesterday!

  • Hulkamania rules 4 life!!!! I sent Hogan a postcard and he actually sent one back in return like he promised. Even though it was a generic one that they sent out to every one. As a kid just knowing that they sent one to your house was kool.

  • I saw that back then and I hated Earthquake for that at the time. It was shocking to see Hogan just taken out like that. Earthquake learned that you don't keep Hulk Hogan down for long.

  • this is wen wrestling was GREAT, i did cry to this

  • I never cried but man it was really sad. So what if he only won by countout at summerslam........he was BACK!!! And Earthquake was pissed. Hulkamania at it's best.

  • I was young and cried like a baby. Man I miss when wrestling was "Real."

  • That's One Tragic injury!

  • I was 7 when I saw this, and I cried too. Hogan is still the man.

  • Just LIKE everyone else...I remember too when I was a youngN watchN this. Hogan should have had the saying "the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be" I know that was Bret H. but....Damn! Hogan is imortal, he'll be my icon forever!!!

  • Cena got injured in late '07 but Sad Tribute Video for Him.

  • i remember this its all about the locker closing at the end we were lucky enough to have sky back in the late 80's me and my cousins always watched main event and superstars this was all after my best friend had returned from america with a vhs tape of something called wrestlemania4..blew us away good times pity about the crap they churn out now

  • I remember watching this on TV. It's been 18 years, and I still remember seeing the locker close. Hulk STILL Rules!!!

  • i think i too cried when i saw this as a kid. i thought hogan had died. i wanted to kill brother love! seeing it again now makes me laugh sooo much! the slowed down version of his entrance song...classic. the week after this bobby 'the brain' heenan said he went to visit hogan in the hospital carrying a plate of bbq ribs and they kicked him out of the room. LMAO!!!

  • I would cry if i was a kid in 1996 if Bret Hart got crushed Vader or Yokozuna. Then have a video tribute like Hogan did in 1990.

  • man i remember watching hogans crush at brother love show,i was i think 14 and always remember the shot of the lady at 1:35 and always thought "wow, what a nice looking woman" and its 2008 and I still remember that lady lol

  • One Of The Best Hogan Tributes Ever I Remember this When He came back He Hand Cuffed Brother Love To The Ropes!

  • the greatest wrestlers of all time (hulk hogan hogan)greatest fan (hukamaniacs)wow what an epoque of wrestling...80s 90s greatest wrestling of all time...

  • does anyone have when earthquake squashed him?

  • i remembr i cried to this as a kid, thinkin hogan would never come back.lol

  • hulks life almost ended cos a fatman sat on him hahahaa

  • Ich war damals richtig traurig

  • Wow I remember this!! Back then I was scared Hogan really got hurt! Classic moment!! !

  • What injury did he get? Looks set up.

  • I read his ribs were crushed.

  • this is one of the best videos that WWF has ever made.

some people thought that Hogan had died.

  • OKe toje čurak ale Hulk Hogan je nej ti co říkají že ne sou idioti nejhorší debilové o znám ale Wrestling je promě zábavou já sem taky wrestler ale ne v WWE

  • haha hulk hogan died
