By this time, I was not as big a Hogan fan anymore, but this angel was his best, because in addition to being very emotional and Earthquake getting heat from the fans, it showed Hogan in a different light. He was not the big 'superhero' who was as indestructable as people thought..and they REALLY thought he would quit the business. I know this was probably for him to take time off, but the great days of kayfabe before the internet had us really thinking this was it for him. Well done guys!

This is why kayfabe is so important. It's pretty much gone now but as a kid, you believed every second and had an emotional attachment. Nowadays, The Big Show can throw John Cena through a huge spotlight and Cena comes back the next night. There's no reason for emotional investment anymore. Thanks for the video!

Classic! I remember seeing this from a dingy VHS when I was 6 or 7. I was a massive Hulkamaniac and genuinely distraught when I saw what Earthquake did, he became the ultimate bad guy. It's a laugh what they (WWF) do to poor kids making them think that John Tenta really did crush Terry Bollea.
