I love Lucy. :) She has such an ... innocent quality and it's gorgeous. Her "Did you lose something?" "What are you looking for?" and "What's the use of looking?" are amazing. Made me cry even before the REALLY tragic lines. :D

I really like the chemistry these two have. Too often this scene gets turned into a comedy during Ilse's monologue. I really don't like that, because this scene is just so heartbreaking. Both of these actors portrayed that beautifully. I wasn't crazy about Moritz's singing voice, but I am partial to John Gallagher Jr. when it comes to this song. No one can beat his Moritz in this scene. And does anyone know who the portrait in the back is of that lights up during "Don't Do Sadness"?

And when I went to go and see this, during the scene where Moritz tells his father about his results he said "I'm glad your grandfather isn't alive to see this day" (or something along those lines and he pointed towards the portrait. So I think it's Moritz' grandfather, which would make sense that it'd be lit up during this performance :D

lucy (ilse) was 16, charlotte (wendla) was 18, i think they were 2 of the youngest cast members, along with Jamie (Hanschen) who was 17.

Their performances became so much more refined by the end of the run - I prefer the more subtle Ilse to this one. Both Lucy and Iwan are fantastic though

In one audio I heard, I thought Iwan sounded flat, but it must have just been the quality because he sounds (and looks) fantastic here! Lucy is great too! They are my new favorites along with Blake and Steffi
