@Manjulaskitchen Hi aunty...i hope you are doing real well =) i had a quick question. What can i garnish these almond burfi's with? can i use raisins??? can you please suggest something. Thank you, very much appreciated.
aunti ji my mom loveddd it sooooo much and she wanted me to thank you for basically getting me interested in setting a foot in the kitchen so THANK YOU SOOOO much :)
Well I am just 20 and till date learn't some really good recipes and because of that my family is quite impressed with me + I too enjoy doing cooking new things .
all this happen because of you :-)
Thanks for sharing all your recipes with us , they are so easy to learn from you .
Namaste Auntieji, I made the burfi and it came out very tasty, except I cooked it too long and it became a little hard and crumbly. Could this be baked in an oven, and what temperature for how long a time? (Will it taste any different or have a different texture?) Thanks and I look forward to trying more of your recipes!
Can I use ground almond I bought from Indian store or should I use raw almonds and blend them the way you did?Can I use unsalted butter if I do not have GHEE?
@jawad384 You can turn unsalted butter into Ghee by heating butter and removing all the milk protein that accumulated on it :) that becomes ghee. Ghee is clarified butter - cheers!
@shsadaf You can use oil,. the difference is in the flavor. The one with butter or ghee is much more flavorful, on cooling, the one with oil may be a little more soft than the one with butter. Moreover, the one with oil tends to smell rancid more quickly. The one with ghee stays fresh longer, so need not be finished soon.
thanks for the recipe, i made once it came out great, i have tried to make it 3 times after that, i am having a problem, my burfi does not get hard, after i put it on a plate, it is still sticky and does not get dry, could you please tell me why is that?
namaskaar auntyji... thanx for sharing your recipes with all of us.. i will be truing to make badam barfi.. as i am unable to open ur website, i am thanking you by this site.. thanx a lot
Aunty i tried this recipe, the burfi came out really well.U r best aunty.i have learnt so many dishes from u.U remind me of my mom back in india. She cooks in the same way.
Thanks for sharing the recipe. I got this video a few minutes back and I've already tried this now!
It tastes great and the procedure is pretty straight forward. However, I could not conclude properly on the end point and so the consistency is not correct. It is a bit halwaish. Could you suggest, how many minutes exactly do we have to keep stirring it and at what heat level, from 1 - 10 ( 1 being the lowest).
Thanks for the recipe. But almonds are expensive and I am not going to feed this expensive barfi to all tom dick and harry. Is there a recipe with more milk and less almonds as we buy from the halwai shop. Less costly to put before the guests. Thanks.
Well, well, the advice is ok, but how can I say to my guests that I am serving them badam burfi when it is in fact made from peanuts. May be I shall use less almonds, that might do the trick, or not give it to the guests after all, just give them pakoras and very hot chillies sauce. That seems to solve all the problem. Thanks anyway for your advice.

Aunty Ji, i prepared both burfi(Badam and Kaju),It was very very chewy, Sticky, not breaking. I couldn't cut them into solid pieces.Suggestion please.Regards
