  • tool was never good they suck ass

  • wow embarrasing tool sucks

  • ~ it is maynard, perhaps not with Tool, but understand we are each more than the Sum of our Parts... so, in a sense, this Is Tool, via Maynard, in terms partially including but not completed by the concept of Morphic Resonance realized multidimensionally ~ xo ~

    it isn't silly at All ~ <3 ~~~~~~

  • @Melissajoe816 Sure, so now Pussifur and A Perfect Circle are Tool too....

  • it is maynard you fuckwits, but NOT tool - a side project, if you will.

  • If it were Tool, it wouldn't suck.

  • What a suckass version

  • Yes, as it's already been stated, this is The Replicants. Maynard just happened to be invited to sing this cover of Silly Little Song by Paul McCartney/Wings.

  • I guess you have to be over 50 to understand how really cool this version of "Silly love songs" is! So, what's wrong with that? I need to know ...

  • soo..... basically this is not TOOL. Not Maynard.

TAKE IT DOWN AND RE-UPLOAD IT WITH CORRECT INFO.

    please.

  • @waitwhatwasthat Chill man

  • @6cath6arsis6 I'm chill, I didn't use exclamation points did I? But seriously, you know it's mislabeled. You just don't want to take it down because you have a quarter million views.

    Do the right thing man.

(Also, it's about L. Ron Hubbard, and more broadly, religious leaders that fit the same bill. The lyrics make absolutely NO sense in regard to Cobain or Hicks.)

  • @waitwhatwasthat Its not about the quarter million views. Uploaded by 6cath6arsis6 on Oct 19, 2007 its because this video is over five years on youtube. And at the time when I uploaded it, it wrote Tool on my PC so I honestly didn't know it wasn't Tool.

  • @6cath6arsis6 Honest question (because I've never uploaded anything, I just use my account to watch restricted stuff and spew worthless comments into the void) can you change the name of the video after you've posted it? If you could I'd suggest:

"Silly Little Love Songs - featuring Maynard of Tool" or some other variant.

If you can't, then I'll shut my little bitch mouth.

    peace

  • @6cath6arsis6 man, for one am glad you posted it that, i think apc is the group who actually performed this version, but i had forgotten all about it...and by searching tool, i found it..so i thank you!!!!

  • @6cath6arsis6 this guys right ur title is a lie. and ppl like you ruin youtube.

  • @waitwhatwasthat Chill dude. It's not Tool, but it is Maynard singing.

  • @GeistvonWut Oh, I'm chill. I'm reaaallll chill. And it's a good song. But it's not Tool. I don't see what the big deal is.

It's mislabeled. Uploader should post it with correct info. I'm not a crazy purist, but if you are a fan of the band and the members and if you love scouring YouTube for rarities like this, then the real information (The Replicants, Paul D'Amour) broadens your experience of these artists. But a mislabeled video is confusing. I don't actually care all that much though TBH

  • @waitwhatwasthat You seem edgy, lol

  • @waitwhatwasthat it is tool, its a cover from,,,, i forgot, its in bio from the APC covers he did. the guy was smashing the whole album and his saving grace was that maynard did a good jobon this song. dont be an ass

  • @dsfhdugan Dude, settle down. As it's been stated in the top comment, It's a song by the Replicants with Paul D'Amour (formally of Tool). All I am saying is: If it's not a song by Tool, it shouldn't be labeled as a song by Tool. You people are getting so defensive (Maybe it was my ALL CAPS). Someone posted a song by the Replicants with Maynard singing on YouTube and It's labeled wrong. I'm not saying we should banish the song from history. It's pretty simple. Incorrect information is incorrect.

  • @waitwhatwasthat this is apc, performing

  • @adjournell or the replicants i am not sure, it has been labeled both for over 10 yrs, that i know of

  • @adjournell Still not Tool though. Wait, I mean...I don't care.

  • @waitwhatwasthat hell yeah, i would say that i don't care too, but i obviously do, at least subconciously or i wouldn't have wasted my time typing a comment.

  • @Josipool24 Shit happens.

People can't play well every time, they're human ;) And Tool's music is complex, it's easy to fuck up.

On tour, you get tired really quick, and having a bad night on the road or partying too hard can "cost" you a show.

  • @Josipool24 Sta je bilo toliko uzasno da te natjeralo da ih prestanes slusati?

  • Eulogy is about Bill Hicks. Let's move on, shall we?

  • Eulogy is about me

  • Eulogy is about kurt cobain

  • @SickAmongThePure1 Someone spammed your comment. I unspammed it, because you're right.

  • @waitwhatwasthat Fucking idiots! Thanks tho.

  • @waitwhatwasthat Fucking idiots! Thanks tho.

  • @MrZadWallop eulogy is about whoever you want it to be, thats the whole point of tool

  • @MrZadWallop or bill hicks

    more likely

  • @adjournell i think maynard would be the master and not the grasshopper to kurt, no disrespect intended, i just don't think he would write a song about him. but i could be wrong, just an idea

  • @MrZadWallop or bill hicks

    more likely

  • @adjournell i think maynard would be the master and not the grasshopper to kurt, no disrespect intended, i just don't think he would write a song about him. but i could be wrong, just an idea

  • The drummer is definitely not Danny Carey.

  • @TheRockinRowl I... AGREE WITH YOU SIR most certainly is NOT danny carey

  • The first time I tell I girl I love her, and really mean it, I want this blaring behind us. The first time I have sex, I want this blaring around us. And, of course this wouldn't happen: when my first born was, well, born.

  • yeah its not tool you can atell when its a tool song, if you cant you suck

  • this is the Replicants. with Maynard singing.

  • I love Tool, and I love Failure. This works. This definitely works.

  • Not Tool, but Replicants, which was the band formed by Paul D'Amour who left Tool after the first full length album (Undertow). Maynard did guest vocals on this track :) Definitely not Tool or APC but still vaguely Toolish.

Paul D'Amour was the tool bassist, btw, before Justin Chancellor joined.

  • @DayWalker0303 Tool has gotten so Much more Advanced Since That Half ass non committed To tool paul D'amour left the band.....

  • @DayWalker0303 Interesting. Thought Maynard was upset at D'Amour leaving. Thought the song Eulogy was directed towards D'Amour.

  • @rohgenextfan Eulogy is about Jesus Christ. Listen to it again and it'll all make sense.

However, it's Tool... Make your own meaning for it.

  • @tailoredp1pe Eulogy is about Bill Hicks, moron.

  • @Vern359 Yeah... "Get off your fuckin' cross", "Would you die for me?", "Not all martyrs see divinity". Uh-huh. I'm convinced.

It's Tool. Have you ever noticed how their songs often contain more than one meaning? There's obviously a Bill Hicks "eulogy" motif throughout the entire album, so Bill Hicks is certainly a part of it, but are you that naive to believe the song is about Bill Hicks and nothing else? That's why I said make your own meaning for it.

  • @Vern359 Really? I read somewhere it was about L Ron Hubbard...

  • Comment removed

  • Actually this is by REPLICANTS, which was a side project of both bands TOOL, and FAILURE. Replicants was a cover band and made one album. This song was originally by Paul McCartney and Wings.

  • I loved this song

  • @ActingBMX64 your such a fucking trol moron.

  • well .. it's A Perfect Circle song ...

  • Misleading title. This is actually The Replicants, FEATURING Maynard on vocals. It contained the original bassist of Tool (who only recorded on Undertow) and a few members from Failure. This was on their only album, and this is the only track with Maynard.

  • for sure apc

  • It's by the replicants. Bass player Paul D'amour left tool and joined a couple of members of 'Failure' and Chris Pitman to do a one off covers album on which Maynard sings on one song........so not tool or A perfect Circle.

  • @jertzy Correct. The cd is very solid, and has THE best cover of a Bowie song, period.

  • My silly little love song for someone who isn't with me...I love you...

  • Like everything this fuckwad try to sing sucks dick..

  • Wonder what mcartney thinks of this vers. Btw, I'd much rather hear this than the original on the awful adult-contemporary radio station that we at my work are forced to listen to.

  • LMAO THIS IS NOT TOOL!!! The band is called Replicants who covered this song by Paul Mcartney, and Maynard James Keenan was just featured on vocals for it.

  • Lovin this track, thx 4 the upload.

  • I got this and a shitload of of others covers on frostwire.

  • not tool...Replicants. Paul D'Amour left Tool during the writing of Aenima. He did this 1-CD project with guys from Failure and Chris Pitman. The album is all cover songs (hence the band name). There is a great version of Gary Numan's Are Friends Electric on there! (For you kids, Gary Numan was where the NIN cover Metal came from. These guys were also just about all involved with LUSK - an AMAZING 1-CD project also with Brad Laner from Medicine. Go find and buy both!!

  • @sequoia225 Youre bang on there man good info ,

  • to Kummen: you can find it on their DVD Salival. The DVD comes with a CD and thats where I got it from.

    M

  • Nope this is not Tool. No offense to the Replicants drummer, but Danny Carey is waaaaay better than this guy.

  • This is the creepiest cover I have ever heared in my entire life. Don't get me wrong, I adore Tool, but now they gained even more of my respect, although I thought it wasn't even possible.

  • it is definitely replicants, cover band featuring ken andrews greg edwards paul d'amour and chris pitman...look it up on wikipedia...

  • NOT TOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This actually isn't Tool at all. This is the cover band that Paul D'Amour played with after leaving Tool called Replicants. This song appears on they're self titled cd. It's a cover of a song originally done by Wings (Paul & Linda McCartney). It was released in 95 "Pre APC" but not "Pre TOOL".

  • I actually found this rare TOOL IMPORT called "BOTTOM FEEDER" and this song is on there.

    This is not "PRE-APC" LOL

  • Love hearing these lyrics coming from Maynard. It takes the song to an entire different level of passion. Very intense and very satisfying. :)

  • this is the replicants..i own the disc..it is very cool..this is maynaerd on this track

  • Lol stupid wannabes this is not Tool :D

  • It;s actually a cover of the Replicants feat Maynards on vocals

The song was written by Paul McCartney

TOOL IS NOT JUST MAYNARD. SO MAYNARD ON VOCALS DOESNT MEAN TOOL

  • much love for the maynard

  • yeah, the replicants had one or more guys from Failure in the band. you can tell by the guitar style. this song is cool but probably excellent on sedatives.

  • gotta say, i dig this a lot more than the original version... not really comparable but i'd listen to this one over paul mccartney's any day haha

  • This is The Replicants which was a band from the bass player from the undertow album. Maynard made a guest appearance before all the anger set in. The album is all covers and is quite brilliant.

  • Hey 6cath6arsis6. Where the hell did you find this track? i can't see it on any of their albums. Its n'either on any of the rare tracks compilations. Where did you get it and where is it from?

  • @Kummen i found it somewhere on my pc, cant tell you where can you find it sry, cauze I don't know :D

  • @6cath6arsis6 I'm guessing this is actually early APC?

  • @horfvitdown I honestly don't know, read some of the comments below they say this is The Replicants feat. Maynard or whateva

  • Comment removed

  • @6cath6arsis6 to the best of my knowledge it is the Replicants....i've heard it came out around 95' but not sure....love the track though, thanks for posting!!!!

  • @6cath6arsis6 Yeah that's right, this is pre-APC, maybe pre-Tool. I definitely read about this song on toolshed.down.net in early 2001, trying to find anything else Maynard had lent his voice to.

  • Comment removed

  • @6cath6arsis6 The Replicants, feat. Paul Bass, track two. Is that what you needed?

  • Comment removed

  • @Kummen Not tool, Paul d'more side project in 90's, maynard did vocals on this cover.

    replicants, self titled album.

  • @ruiner000 allright, thanks

  • @Kummen

It's on an import cd. If you check your local music stores they may have it. I didn't know this song existed until i went to a local music store and looked at this cd with maynard on it. the song is on it as well as early demos of opiate and aenema material.

  • @Kummen I found an album in a record shop in Greenwich Village that had a bunch of random live / b-side songs. This song was on the album too. Just some random underground place that sells bootlegged shit. They had a ton of unreleased / live albums.

  • @Kummen It is off of an album called "Replicants" (1995). It features Maynard on the Wings cover "Silly Love Songs". Paul D'Amour plays bass on most tracks and Ken Andrews from Year of the Rabbit is featured as well. The entire album is covers of many well known 70's/80's songs by Steely Dan, The Cars, Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett, David Bowie, Neil Young etc etc. Different, but a must have in my opinion.

  • @myousickman76 didnt Paul D'Amour play bass on opiate? and Aenima? well part of aenima anyways...

  • @eatpills462 Ya, Paul was the original bassist and played on Undertow and did some work on the Aenima album as well. Love his runs on Swamp Song (Undertow). That song is the teets...

  • @Kummen It is on a cd by the band named Replicants - they are all cover songs...I recommend it "highly"!

  • @Kummen They play it all the time @ the supermarket, dip-isht...

  • @Kummen I own this album ... its by the Replicants... all of it is very awesome... mainly comprised of dudes from tool and more importantly the band Failure.... its green and has a packing box on it...

  • @Kummen its not TOOL or APC, it is Maynard with the band The Replicants....another band that Maynard sang for

  • @Kummen I don't think you can find it because it doesn't even sound like tool. Deffinately not Danny Carey playing drums.. The song is too simple to be Tool. Must be another band ft. Maynard.

  • @Kummen try airmp3. net

  • @Kummen This is off of The Replicants first and only cd. I found it quite randomly at a pawn shop and saw that it Paul D'Amour and the other dude from Lusk who's name escapes me at the moment. It's a cd full of covers by these guys ranging from pink floyd, the cars and a bunch of others. Look for it on amazon but this is the only song Maynards on. It predates Tool!

  • @Iheartsupertramp Does not predate TOOL.

  • @Iheartsupertramp It doesn't predate Tool. It was a band that launched Lusk and Failure.

  • @Iheartsupertramp Doesn't pre-date Tool. It came out in 1995. It's the two guys of Failure with Paul D'Amour and the other guy from Lusk (and from some other mid 90s band). It was mostly written and put together by Ken and Greg of Failure.

  • @SRFeldman79 it was written and put together by paul mccartney and wings.

  • @movingmanify my comment was about the replicants record, not who wrote the original songs. But yes, this was written by the McCartneys together (Paul AND Linda) and played by Wings.

  • @movingmanify my comment was about the replicants record, not who wrote the original songs. But yes, this was written by the McCartneys together (Paul AND Linda) and played by Wings.

  • Oh bullocks some dude already said all this. My bad!

  • @Kummen

pretty sure its A Perfect Circle

  • @Kummen Download VUZE

  • @TheMrosin - I completely agree. Maynard is pure genius. Enough said.

  • best song ever

  • this is the replicants... and despite what anyone has to say about the paul's breakage from the band he made a really kick ass album and i still listen to it all the time just like a tool album.

  • Wow. Way to rape a beautiful song. McCartney's versions is way better.

  • @xXSunshineKatXx Sorry but I LOVE this cover. And I say that as a huge fan of Paul's version. But the fact that Maynard can take this song and turn it into a sinister, haunting cover just shows the underlying strength of the song, which is so under-rated. This is a great song, with a great simple lyric. And this version rocks.

  • @xXSunshineKatXx We dont care.

  • The ONLY reason any of you uber trendy asshat know of The Replicants is Maynard, so get over yourselves. Your not unique and cool, your a d bag consumer like the rest of us.

  • I think you'll find it is THE REPLICANTS featuring Maynard. So, you are BOTH right.

  • this is by "the replicants" Not tool.

  • Why don't Tool quit dicking around with covering stupid songs in an "ironic" way and get to making another Tool album?

I dunno, i think I have mixed feelings about Tool by now, seems Maynard is always playing dress-up, seems like he's got a big old Ego, despite singing about getting rid of it.

  • @ModernPlague you do realize they are working on an album and should be released this year?

  • @RiptheGreen Where did you hear that?

  • @ModernPlague I totally agree

  • Fucking sexy

  • Comment removed

  • I LOVE YOU

  • Yeah, sorry. This is the replicants, not Tool.. But does anyone know where I can get the replicants album?

  • @two27 if you use torrents you can find it on btjunkie, and grooveshark. com has at least half of the songs streaming!

  • What a great album, too bad The Replicants only had one.

  • Yeah, this is definitely a Replicants track, from their 1995 self-titled album. Maynard is singing guest vocals. Definitley NOT a Tool Song. Also, the title is "Silly Love Songs", originally a Wings song written by Paul McCartney in 1976.

  • Comment removed

  • It is "The Replicants" with Maynard singing for them!

This is one of the most amazing covers ever! They took I song I really hated and made into something that blows my mind away!... LOVE IT! HELL YEAH!

  • sorry man...this is replicants...with paul d´amour, former bass player of tool and the guest singer maynard.....NOT TOOL....

  • @hell76lv so technically is 1/2 tool?

  • @ummmwhatnow ehehehehehe.......

  • This is defiantly Maynard.

    If you really know too
