  • doesn't anybody care about the people whose names were revealed by wikileaks who decide to give the U.S. information in hopes of bettering their country at the risk of their own lives!?

  • Something you need to understand about oil companies not paying taxes is this: the land the rigs go on, the oil coming out of the ground, the waste coming out the ground, the pipeline, the trucking companies licensing, trucking companies road miles, licensing for refineries, waste from refineries, gasoline trucking licensing, road miles for gasoline shipping, state and federal taxes on gas are all taxes that come out of oil company's profits. I'm a layman so I probably missed a ton of taxes.

  • @nelsma292 Yeah, but if we eliminate the tax on it, our prices on gas will skyrocket so that oil companies can afford to do all of those things.

  • @quarterexchange

Less than 10% rate, how is that an assumption? I know conservatives don't deal well with facts but damn.

  • @quarterexchange

5265 views. 398 likes, 34 dislikes. Most don't bother tor rate.

  • White Republicans making up shit about black organizations? No way! There is a reason why blacks almost never vote Republican. And it isn't because they are "stupid" or being "tricked" into voting Democrat.

  • @reed311 Could you please give an example?

  • I can't believe people watch your videos, I am just going to assume you viewers are all left wingers looking for a good laugh from your idiocy.

  • LOSER LIAR DOUCHEBAG

  • what are your thoughts on julian assange? he's most likely going to be Time's "Person of the Year". Very differeing opinions on him by everyone... I think he's inoccent of any wrong doings IMO.

  • I think I'm gonna shit a brick if I hear one more person say 'could care less'. It's COULDN'T care less you morons. And no I'm not being pedantic or a grammar Nazi. It sounds totally imbecilic when you say it in such a ass backward way, and yet I'm hearing it all the time now. I thought this guy was supposed to be well read! Jesus!

  • Well then Mr. Doren, I guess we should also defund the schools as well then huh? You know, public schools that teach art, music & theater (also arts as well). Its funny that everything needs to be run as a business 4U supposed conservatives. But then, YOU YOURSELF ask for a donation from ur UTUBE viewers to buy YOU a video camera. Which is the camera YOU are now using. Lol! Man. Lee, ur such a hypocrite. Take a lesson from urself son. Make YOUR OWN money & buy YOUR OWN camera yourself.

  • ACORN? A criminal front group eh? Ok Mr. Doren. What exactly has ACORN been formally charged with? Please cite your references.

  • Those bastards need to get out of power! They are just a nuisance.

  • Eric Holder is a very efficient worker. He turned the Black Panther Racists win into a loss with the just a few words to his staff. He dealt with the terrorists trials with just a deep ideological thought. He deserves a vacation. Besides, Qatar won, so Holder gave another victory to Arab Muslims, exactly as his boss ordered.

  • @2bpilot SOMEONE SHOULD TELL THE FEDERAL GOVT. THAT CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL.

  • In my opinion there is a fourth way of having no wars is to have a goverment with no army, but it would only work if everyone would agree with having no army

  • The history of warfare is similarly subdivided, although here the phases

are Retribution, Anticipation, and Diplomacy. Thus:

Retribution: I'm going to kill you because you killed my brother.

Anticipation: I'm going to kill you because I killed your brother.

Diplomacy: I'm going to kill my brother and then kill you on the pretext that your brother did it.

  • You like soccer? That makes you a socialist.

  • This dude is fucking stupid.

  • 24 people work for Acorn.

  • I have a theory HTWW and I was wondering if you could give me your impute on it. I have a idea to better the United States. I was thinking that the Federal Government could pitch in for Guam Pureto Rico and all the other U.S territories to get them 100% independent from fossil fuels by this I mean slowly phasing out there gas-guslers with non-gasoline cars. Giving them a solar system were they don't need to import any fuels and giving them a 100% internet access like the Falkland islands.

  • When you make diplomacy harder? Don't try to blame him for making diplomacy harder the US was the one making shit up to start with.

  • wtf? I bet the alternative will soon be stop signs with no word, etc. This is stupid, stupid, stupid.

  • ...that street sign story...DUMBEST LAW EVER! Honestly, why would enough people go along with that for the law to be passed?

  • @Cavalier223 likely a lame-duck democrat move to cause trouble for the incoming republican majority. Change we all can believe in!!!

  • "Health is based on an individual level...eat what you want."

    *Facepalm*

  • @Bleuski So you think the government can decide what people should and should not eat better than the people themselves?

    *Double Facepalm*

  • @taylort123 I don't think people like Lee should use an example of a few health expert changing their mind on vitamin D to make absurd generalizations about the validity of our knowledge on healthy diets.

  • @4:49 you said "they could care less" did you mean "they couldn't care less"?

  • A lot of thoughs things you are reading about arn't achully published by medical officals. For example the thing about vidamen D curing cancer was never tested.

  • "Safety" is the club the left is using to steal away our liberties. Making States change street signs is highly unConstitutional (1st and 10th), and is being done to set the precedent for further encroachments on our liberties.

I DON'T WANT TO BE SAFE! I want to be FREE.

  • Son, you don't understand M.A.D. M.A.D. is when BOTH adversaries are so powerful that for them to engage in war it would destroy BOTH countries. The basis of MAD is to ensure this balance of terror is perpetuated.

Your principle is well-taken, but it's not MAD.

  • It really is scary to find that you agree with Bill Maher. mmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • You pre-assume that "diplomatic" efforts from very corrupt politicians (whose motives are questionable at best) outweigh the need for truth, transparency and the right of free speech.

For you hold a similar view for known corrupt governments, such as North Korea? That freedom of information is not as important as risking war by exposing truth to the populace?

  • Thats the problem with our too much spending. You honestly cant say its 1 thing. Or that if we cut 1 program that it will balance the budget. or 2, 3 5, 10, 100. We are financially bleeding to death by the death of a million cuts. 500 million here, 4 billion there, it ALL ads up. So if someone, like ron paul, says "its such a small % of spending" True. But it ALL adds up.

  • Because you can't have street signs "SHOUTING" at you! lol

  • @Ron01104 Caps lock!! OH NO!!! The street signs are ANGRY at us!! D:

  • 7:18 Do you have any proof of that allegation?

  • Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. If you take too much of a fat soluble vitamin it easily becomes toxic....... i thought scientists would've known this by now seeing as it's already in college text books.

  • I've never swallowed a pill in my life, and it's been years since I've taken a vitamin. I rarely get sick; possibly once a year. Ironically enough, being loaded up on all these nutritional substances, vitamins, and various other meds is actually unhealthier than not doing anything at all, as it prevents your body from natural endorphin production.

  • I like your view on diet! Hi-5!

  • I don't think the US is scrambling to cover up that information. If it was such a big deal we'd declare war and confiscate everything with the war powers. The government pretending to care in the media is just to save face. Every admin. is pretty ignorant to whats going on truthfully the only ones who know are the troops fighting there.

  • finally got it in my sub box

  • Got it in my sub box. =)

  • i thought that criminal, racist group acorn, was going to be defunded.....and npr...etc. this shit would add up and save us billions. those bastards in d.c. should be in prison until they rot

  • So, the Obamas were not available to make the presentation for WCS like they did for the Olympics? Maybe they are sending Holder with their "tweaked" version!

  • Sending Eric Holder to lobby for the World Cup is actually a great idea, since there are only two things that Eric Holder can apparently do. (1) Waste his salary on silly efforts in a foreign country. (2) Waste his salary undermining the Constitution in our country. I'll take option 1.

  • eric holder must be in cahoots with wikileaks

  • 19 people are street sign makers.

Finally got a video on my front page, congrats on getting that worked out.

  • @LeQuack147 I called him out for repeating lies and talking points to bolster the GOP. If you're mad about that, you're arguing against reality

  • Are you kidding me ?! What idiot decided that it is good idea to change milions of signs just because of letters.

  • I still like your vids, and I am glad/sad that you still make youtube vids... rather than have a job on a "proper" tv-channel... The Type-Face of signs should be a HUGE issue... yet, will never see the mainstream-light-of-day... though accurate location finding, should be done....

  • the ACORN video from last year involving James O'Keefe was heavily edited, James didn't wear that stupid costume into the offices and a lady at one of ACORN offices even called the cops on him, the video was over hyped by the conservative media

  • @MustardMan7321 It sounds like you're in denial. I saw the videos, and heard the audio. I suppose it's hard to hear and see when your head is so far up your ass.

  • @wiz9496 dont listen to this asshole mustardman. He is a liar of brighbart proportions, and a coward to boot.

  • @zatoichi1969 Learn how to spell, loser.

  • @wiz9496 thats weak as shit. Grow a set of balls coward.

  • @zatoichi1969 What's going on, why so much hate?

  • @GravDiga wiz9496 is a first rate asshole and a major racist to boot.

  • @zatoichi1969 wow a liar and a coward? a guess facts are liberal

  • @wiz9496 read the wikipedia page, it has been determined by several Attorney Generals to be heavily edited, and a police report released a few days after the videos were released showed that a worker at the Philadelphia office called the police on James

James is such a shady character, he is now serving 3 years probation and in August he tried to seduce a CNN reporter

  • Absolutely correct! Tax dollars should NEVER fund art! It only goes to political propaganda, and THAT is the only inevitable path for the stupid government shills out there!

Pretty much everything the Attorney Coward Eric Holder does is wrong.

Sunshine is a major source of vitamin D. WHO is saying it's bad for us?

The all-caps signs is utterly STUPID! Keep those signs up to give the feds a much-deserved "FUCK U!"

Those bastards didn't get our Nov 2nd message! Our work ain't done YET!

  • If you can't read street signs in all caps, you shouldn't be on the road.

  • Okay, YouTube just changed the front page, so you may get this video in your sub box now. Please let me know if you do.

  • @HowTheWorldWorks you are correct...new in my sub box today....

  • @HowTheWorldWorks Yes, you are back... at least according to my sub box.

  • @HowTheWorldWorks I finally got it in my sub box, but this is already 2 days old! I can't believe I didn't get it two days ago. Ah well, it's cool.

  • @HowTheWorldWorks yes i did

  • @HowTheWorldWorks this video showed up in my sub box

  • @HowTheWorldWorks found it in my sub box

  • This bit from the ABC article on the street sign regulation floored me:

"If you can't read it, you can't see it or you can't comprehend it, it could be a distraction to you," said Federal Highway Administrator Victor Mendez. "You could be in an accident, negative consequences could occur."

.. Aren't there vision requirements w/ getting a driver's license? Also isn't comprehension of a simple street sign a prerequisite as well? What's next, "You need an "Alto" sign next to a "Stop" sign?

  • is that chivas regal on the bookshelf behind you? lol

i think it would be fun if you were to put pertinent and/or interesting items in the background and on one video show and explain them. silly suggestion i know but a nice fresh break from the quagmire of politics.

  • You should do a video on all the excess spending in the US military. We should cut spending there.

  • Youtube's playing up. This one didn't come through in the homepage SUBSCRIPTIONS area, but everything else did.

  • I've loved the new intro for some time now, but I just got myself a subwoofer, and WOW! What a difference that makes. Love the new intro even more now.

  • WOW

    $ 500,000 is chump change,

The bankers allocated themselves $ 144,000,000,000 BILION IN BONUSES

Time to redirect your attention to things that matter.

  • ACORN's job is to follow George Soros orders and crash the system. The more tax waste they can create gets us closer to the crash date and gets the U.S. under the U.N. flag.

  • The way I see it, all war is deception, and the greatest deception is omission of the truth. That's why I'd support free flow information at the government level.

  • Where do I apply to get my "Qu'ran In Horse Manure" sculpture financed?

  • I remember Neal Boortz brought up communist funded art with taxes. They fund blasphemy, pornography, degeneracy and other useless crap. ALWAYS HAPPPENS EVERYTIME WE USE TAXES TO FUND ART! PUHLEASE!! If liberals want to fund that smut they have every right to do it with THEIR money not ours!

  • really enjoy the your videos.

  • I went to the link you provided for the street sign story and they said the case of the lettering doesn't need to be altered by itself, but will need to change when they are replaced for the other two mandatory alterations (50% increase in size on 25+ mph roads and reflective lettering)...not that this changes the fact that none of that is affordable right now.

  • Eat whatever you want. Eat the saltiest, fattiest, sugariest food you can find and eat as much of it as you want. Those doctors and scientists don't know what they are talking about.

  • I applaud the efforts of WikiLeaks. I think that diplomacy actually tends to make wars more likely and brutal. Take pre-WWI Europe with its complicated alliances and the massive war that ensued as a consequence of a single assassination attempt.

I think the people are the least interested in going to war; as such, they should have much more power and influence over diplomatic decisions / deals. Now diplomats must cater to the people also. This is a good thing.

  • @gregvs3 Very naive. I don't think you quite understand diplomacy or the damage that leaked classified information can cause.

  • i read/heard different stories about the art exhibit. here's what i've gathered. it's true that exhibit is being held at the national portrait gallery, which received about $6M in federal funding in 2010. however, the exhibit itself was privately funded. so while the art is being displayed in a publicly-funded museum, the exhibit itself was, to my knowledge, in no way paid for with federal money.

  • @cristoballs

    Fair Point, however.

""If the Smithsonian didn't have the taxpayer-funded building, they would have no space to present the exhibit, right? In my own view, if someone takes taxpayer money, then I think the taxpayers have every right to question the institutions where the money's going." - Chris Edwards

  • @HowTheWorldWorks i understand that, and believe me, i'm right with you that our tax dollars should not be going towards funding museums. however, if that was the reason for the controversy, then shouldn't we be upset about every exhibit presented, and not just the ones people find distasteful?

  • @HowTheWorldWorks

    On the World Cup,

The event would likely help the economy by boosting ticket and concession stand sales, so in the long run, it would probably earn more revenue than the lobbying would cost in taxpayer dollars.

  • @HowTheWorldWorks really? so, the exhibit was privately funded, but because they use the venue, its federally funded? Come on lets at leaste be genuine here lee, the BSA isnt a government organization, but they use military reservations for camporees. if uncle sam didnt pay for the art, who gives a damn which venue its seen in? just keeps kids away, because you know its going to be offensive

  • @cristoballs ...then private christian groups should be able to put religious displays up on publicly owned, tax-payer funded land, as long as they fund the display and it's upkeep, right?

  • @bldgy if that's the designated purpose of the building then yes. do you think christian art has ever been exhibited in this gallery? i'm not saying i support tax money being used to pay for art galleries. however, once such an establishment has been created then it's no longer a question of tax money being used to pay for the gallery, it becomes a question of taste. (cont.)

  • @cristoballs if tax payers are willing to allow their money to fund an art gallery, then they have to accept that eventually that gallery will be used to display exhibits they don't agree with. the sooner they realize this, i think the sooner they'll be upset, instead of waiting for exhibits that offend them to cry foul.

  • @cristoballs Well, I really don't support my tax dollars being used to fund an art gallery, but as it turns out I have no choice in the matter.

As one who is stuck funding it, however, I certainly do have a right to voice my disapproval of exhibits I find offensive, regardless of who funded the exhibit itself. I can assure you that those funding private art galleries certainly have far more say in what does and does not go into them.

  • @bldgy i didn't mean to imply that you don't have the right to voice your disapproval. of course you have the right. all i'm saying is that i like to see more outrage when spending is proposed/approved for things like public art galleries, instead of only hearing these outcries when someone finds a piece of artwork objectionable.

  • @cristoballs. Well, I think the U.S. Constitution should be enforced & that religious entities should no longer be supported by R tax dollars. U know that little thing called the Establishment clause? "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Giving religious institutions tax exemption is un-Constitutional & thus should B banned. THIS IS A HUGE TAX BURDEN ON ALL OF U.S. SOCIETY!! Come on u tea baggers. Lets hear u speak up!

  • @JSAautomotive religious institutions, such as churches, are subject to the same tax-exempt status as all other non-profit organizations. and as far as i know they don't receive any tax money, so your statement that "[they] should no longer be supported by R tax dollars" has no relevance. they aren't supported by our taxes. are you suggesting they should be taxed differently than other non-profit organizations? wouldn't that be unconstitutional?

  • @cristoballs. I'm not sure what kind of business those other "non profits" are in, but if theyR in the religion business, then giving them a TAX BREAK IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Period. Read the Establishment clause. Its very clear. The govt isnt supposed 2B in the Religion bussines. Period. End of story. Taxes R how we pay 4 R wars, R military, R court systems, schools, build roads, etc. Since we're not getting the tax dollars from those religious institutions, the TAX PAYER must pay 4 them. Get it?

  • @JSAautomotive and no, tax breaks are not unconstitutional. the fact is most churches in this country have a much higher efficiency rate than the federal government that you love so much in helping out the needy. for that alone, they deserve a tax break, just like all other non-profit organizations. get it?

  • @cristoballs. Tax breaks by themselves aren't unconstitutional. But its an easy argument to make that the tax cuts towards religious institutions are considered a government endorsement of religion AND also violates the Equal Protection Clauses whereas religious institutions get a tax break where others don't. If I were say like Michael Newdow & decided to file a lawsuit against the U.S. Govt for the violations I've described, I guarantee it would go all the way to SCOTUS.

  • @JSAautomotive "...its an easy argument to make that the tax cuts towards religious institutions are considered a government endorsement of religion..."

how? if not religious group is discriminated against, how do you figure? the government isn't giving any special privilege to any one religious group, nor is it discriminating any by allowing them to operate as non-profit organizations so long as they conform to the guidelines set. so how is that an endorsement of any religion?

  • @cristoballs. Where in the Constitution does it say we need 2 give religious groups (or any group 4 that matter) a tax cut? But, what u don't see in the Constitution is ANY OTHER GROUP EXCEPT RELIGION SPECIFICALLY SPELLED OUT AS BEING FORBIDDEN TO RECEIVE ANY SPECIAL FAVORITISM. Which is why we need a complete overhaul of our tax system. Everyone should pay a FAIR TAX. And those that benefit THE MOST from using our "commons" should pay the brunt of them bcuz they benefit THE MOST. No free rides.

  • @JSAautomotive now you're just skirting the issue. you didn't answer my question. however, in regards to your statement about the mention of religion in the constitution, there's good reason for that. the framers of the constitution understood the large influence religion had on society, and the implications of allowing people to make laws based on religious beliefs. that's all. it has nothing to do with allowing an npo a tax exempt status, regardless of their religious affiliation. (cont.)

  • @JSAautomotive now, as for your comment on who benefits the most... it seems a bit off topic from what we were discussion, but i'll respond anyway. explain to me how you would quantify who benefits more? do you not benefit from from the people you claim are benefiting the most? or how about this? let's do away with all social programs, and leave everything up to a free market system, including police protection. (cont.)

  • @cristoballs. I don't benefit from those that suck my tax dollars. I don't have kids, so Im in the #1 tax bracket. I pay property taxes on a business & 4 houses. Not 2 mention property tax on my equipment. I pay 4 my own way & don't ask 4 hand outs. I wrked for EVERTHING I own. No rich daddy passed me a "death tax" investment. Police, Fire, Military, S.S., the courts R "Commons" that we need 4 a better society. I'll pay 4 that, but u need 2 pay more tax if uve got kids bcuz I pay 4 their school

  • @JSAautomotive i can't even follow where you're arguing. on one hand you're arguing that you pay too much because you're considered rich but don't have any kids, then you're claiming that churches shouldn't be exempt from paying taxes, which i still can't figure out why, and then you're saying rich people need to pay more taxes. tell you what... figure out what it is you're trying to argue for and feel free to p.m. me if you want. i'm done here.

  • @cristoballs. Its obvious u don't have a firm grasp on reality. Bernie Sanders is in his 2nd hour in a fillabuster in the Senate saying EXACTLY what the Democrats should have said a long time ago. Look up & study the era of the "Robber Barons" in American history. When I speak of "the rich", I'm talking about people that make MILLIONS a year. U don't make that, I don't make that, & u don't know anybody that makes that kind of cashola. When I say "the rich" needs 2 pay their fair share (contd).

  • @cristoballs (from contd). I mean people or entities that make millions or billions a year. Exxon/mobile made 9 BILLION is PROFITS last year. Know how much they paid in personal taxes? ZERO!! As a matter of fact, they got a $156 MILLION check from the U.S. govt in tax REFUNDS because of all the loopholes they get via our tax code. Want to talk about redistribution of wealth? Well...there ya go! They should pay the same in PERCENTAGE as I do. Right about 32% in income tax.

  • @cristoballs. I do pay a lot in taxes, thats true. And I don't have the loopholes that the uber rich have. I don't have an offshore account like these Robber Barons have to cheat our govt out of its taxes due. Why the hell do u think we're in the 14 trillion $ debt we're in? Yes, part of it was stupid spending. But the fact remains, we as Americans owe this money. & now the Repubs want another tax cut for their Robber Baron friends to add another 900 billion over 10 years!!?? WTF!!??

  • @JSAautomotive i think you missed the part where i said, "i'm done here." i'm not going to carry on a conversation with you in the comments sections of a video, where you keep changing the subject. it's too difficult to follow. focus on one topic and send p.m. if you want to discuss it in more depth. as i said before, i'm done here.

  • @JSAautomotive assuming the costs of these socialized programs remains constant, how would you afford them if the costs weren't subsidized by the rich? i'm willing to bet those that you claim benefit the most would actually be paying less if they were paying for public resources based on their amount of usage.

  • @cristoballs, Its really simple & worked just fine after WWII for YEARS! The rich paid somewhere in the area of 67% of their income. They were still PLENTY rich, but...the middle class & the poor got social security & a list of other social programs that got America moving & wrking. Fact. We had the largest expansions of the middle class when the marginal tax rates on the rich was high. Thats a fact.

  • @cristoballs. regarding the Constitutional issue w/religion entities & tax exemption, the easy to understand point I'm making here is...the Constitution doesn't separate government from any EXCEPT FOR RELIGION. Its plain to read, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." When u give tax exempt status to a relgious institution, thats the govt giving special favors. PERIOD. End of story.

  • @cristoballs. U know b4 we had these tax-exempt status' showing up on the scene, there weren't any. Tithings took care of running the Church B4 as it should. There shouldn't be any extra help via the tax payer to make up for what the Fed needs to run the govt. Churches & any religious institution across the land can make PLENTY. Or Y should a preacher not have 2get a job during the week? & then he can B a preacher on the wkend. If he wants 2B lazy & a free loader, thats his deal. Get a real job

  • @cristoballs. Maybe u should look up exactly how much religious institutions make in PROFITS (not 4 profit my ass) every yr. Look @ the Catholic Church. Look at these Evangelist super churches & the cars the Preachers drive, the clothes they wear. Give me an f-ing break man. Does Jim & Tammy Faye Baker ring a bell? All they need 2 do is elect a board of directors & vote themselves a certain pay amount. Its legal embezzlement. If they dont want 2 work 4 a living, people can pay 4 their church.

  • Comment removed

  • @JSAautomotive i'm not going to deny that there are some churches, perhaps many, whose administrators find ways of using church funds for their own selfish purposes. however, this is not limited only to churches, as many non-profits do this sort of thing. furthermore, it's not as if every church, or even the majority of churches, are profiting from donations. so why should all churches be punished for the actions of people like the bakers?

  • julian assange is a hero, you have to have truth in every sphere

  • Is HTWW still going on about ACORN conspiracy theories and Obama being naive? Damn, you may as well just stamp "Typical Dumb Conservative Who Pretends to be Libertarian" on his forehead.

  • @SPQRomantic Oh look, stereotyping and insults... Is that the best you've got?

  • You claim that there are 3 ways to prevent war: 1. free trade, 2. Diplomacy, 3, Mutual destruction. That seems overly simplified to me.

Some believe that governments generally needs to deceive the citizenship with lies in order to start wars, e.g. weapons of mass destruction.

Its hard to say wether these leaks will increase the probability of war. I believe that wiki-leaks is doing what the media has become to complacent to do, report the truth.

  • @qonf Is the job of the media to subvert our govt? Because that's what WikiLeaks is doing.

Our officials, who are elected from the people, decide what is confidential and what is public. When you vote, you also are part of that process because you pick who makes those decisions. When WikiLeaks actively seeks to infiltrate and release classified info, they are directly interfering with the electoral process.

It seems obvious to me that the release of these cables interferes with diplomacy.

  • @smiledammit24 A important function of the media is to report abuse by the government. This includes secrets that should not be secret. A good example are the Pentagon Papers, leaked by Daniel Ellsberg.

You say wiki-leaks is directly interfering with the electoral process. Is not the government keeping secrets interfering? The basis of a functional democracy is a informed Electorate.

The idea that the government should be free to keep whatever secrets they wish is ridicules.

  • @qonf Okay I'll grant you that. However you said, "secrets that should not be secret." How do you determine what "should not be secret?" And do you honestly think an egomaniacal hatemonger like Mr. Assange has any qualms about releasing information that, by any standard, *should* be secret? Like, for example, the names of informants that are helping us fight terror?

I wouldn't suggest that the government should allowed to keep everything secret. But secrecy is necessary for many operations.

  • @smiledammit24 I am compelled to agree that there are secrets that need to be kept secret. Not surprisingly however, governments sometimes keep secrets that does not need to be secret, because it incriminates officials/politicians and their friends.

This is called corruption, and we rely on the press to uncover instances of this. In my opinion, Wikileaks is doing a public service that the current media seems incapable of doing.

  • @smiledammit24 As for Mr. Assange, I trust him more then I trust any of the last couple of US administrations, including the current one.

I think the danger that Wikileaks will do more damage than good is so small as to be insignificant. The truth will set us free.

  • @qonf Except they really did believe the weapons were there when they went for it.... and they''ve actually found such weapons... It's a little late, but hey.

  • @LeQuack147 They found something! I had not heard that. Can you cite your source?

  • @LeQuack147 Thanks for the PM, which included the link. Interesting article.

  • Showed up in my inbox.

  • Hey Lee

How about telling the whole story on the Street Signs???

First of all they say the letters must be bigger, AND they say it's for safety

But in reality it's a handout to 3M, 3M funded a study that showed that small street signs are a safety issue, all the new signs need special reflective material, which 3M makes :)

click his link guys, takes you to the ABC story

  • @SaM52461 I figured it was just any semi-cleverly disguised government subsidy. Geesh, almost all legislation in my lifetime has been about pork, graft and kickbacks.

  • @SaM52461 ABC story does expand it, but the point Lee made is still valid. *Federal* govt. has no business telling local and state govt. how to sign any roads except *federal* roads (i.e. interstates).

  • NOT IN MY INBOX!!!!

  • closer but your no Albert Carr, and you need to do better than him.

  • would you mind doing a video on the recent protest/riots in the UK over tuition fees.

  • @evilsceptic already did. U probably didn't get it in ur sub box.

  • @HowTheWorldWorks do you mean the 200,000 dollar debt one? you didn't mention the UK protests or education subsidies in that one I don't think.

  • Brilliant, you're making signs more readable by making the letters smaller? I like having the arge letters.

  • Vitamin D is fat soluble. Taking massive supplements will cause it to accumulate in the body to toxic levels. B and C Vitamins are water soluble; excess will be excreted in urine (unless one takes REALLY massive amounts). A basic understanding of the science behind stuff helps people see through all the fads.

  • because its coloreds leeching money out of civilizations again.

  • I found it interesting that the NYT praised the newest WikiLeaks as a good thing after calling the leaking of the ClimateGate emails "criminal."

  • Great VId!

  • Thanks Lee!

  • If war is averted through free trade, then would it be fair to say that sanctions can legitimately be interpreted as move towards war?

  • Oh, boy! New STOP signs! What a waste of money! What a STUPID law. And why are they doing this? Public safety? I haven't heard of any story of people getting hurt because a street sign was in all capital letters. Usually people get hurt by not following traffic laws such as the speed limit, drunk driving bans, etc. It will take forever to pass through the opposite of Progress, and then the new congress will (hopefully) repeal it. Besides, where does the Constitution say they can do it?

  • Okay, enough is enough. Will you please run for political office. I'm sitting here already decided I want to support you in your future campaigns. It's not that I have millions...at most I only have a few thousand..but I want you to represent me and my wife.

  • LOL Someone once told me that most Americans have a hard time understanding words written using all CAPS especially via road signs. I laughed so hard when I heard that... but after this video, I think I nearly cried.

  • How is all capital letters on a road sign a public safety issue?

  • @UtherPendragan I am wondering the same thing.

  • @UtherPendragan Apparently because we only use capital letters for the first letters of a sentence, many foreigners or people with dyslexia aren't accustomed when seeing all capitalization full sentences....something like that

  • @chewibunny You mean like illegal immigrants and arabs?

  • @Alvin691 I don't understand what you mean by that. Are you implying that the US government is accommodating illegal immigrants and Arabs so they can read our street signs better or are you implying that you think all illegal immigrants and Arabs have dyslexia?

  • The ACORN fiasco is another reason to rein-in power in Washington. They have all this power (trillions of tax dollars) and little accountability. Most of them are just concerned about buying votes with tax $. I know that's the typical boilerplate, but it's true.

LEE: Great point about free trade reducing the chances of war. "If goods don't cross borders, soldiers will."
