Mis felicitaciones al niño que canta en el segundo 0:21 y 0:22 es un encanto se ve fantástico con su gorra y ropa de Rap encantador buen trabajo pequeño. @simhui89 How sad is arguing about a children's television show. Your lack of knowledge about Plaza Sesamo was the reason I replied you. I know about this stuff since I'm mexican and grew up with Plaza Sesamo (the show has been broadcast since 1972 in Mexico and Latin America, as I said in my earlier post).
I feel sorry about your use of caps for yelling and the word "retard", but it's your choice to look as an aggresive person with low tolerance.
Shouldn't it be Tu ere la plaza? or la plaza es tu. Because it is saying that the plaza Is you and eres is the conjugation of ser for tu so its a bit weird
@babygal740 "La plaza eres tú" is correct. "Tú eres la plaza" is hard to rhyme when you're doing a song about vowels. The conjugation is also correct, because the one you suggested (La plaza es tú) doesn't make sense.
Do you have any Polish episodes of Sesame street? I would be gratefull to see them, and I think other fans would be interested to see how Their favorite show looks in other country!
I grew up in a bilingual household so I grew up watching both Sesame Street AND Plaza Sesamo and I used to love that crossover episode where Big Bird was getting a visit from his Mexican cousin. I'll never forget them struggling with the language barrier but then getting over it 'cause family's family and that's all there is to it XD
@simhui89 You're wrong. "Plaza Sesamo" has been in production since 1972, so they aren't catering for new markets, since they're already well established in Latin America and hispanic America audiences. This video shows the highlights of the newest season which is already being played on Mexico's Canal 5 (Channel 5).
And yes: that's how Plaza Sesamo actually looks and feels. Ain't a joke.
@mlebrooks Well, they're similar in the way they talk, but Lola is more adventurous and self-determined. Also, Lola is 4 years old while Elmo is 3 1/2 years old
@delicatethings Maybe the "Sesame Street.org" logo on the lower left corner makes them believe Sesame Street became some strange, weird-looking latin hybrid. They fail to notice Sesame Street and Plaza Sesamo are separate shows, with different target audiences, but produced by the same non-profit organization.
For those of you, who are wondering, is that related to Sesame Street? Is actually the Mexican/Spanish version of Sesame Street what you are looking at. The show runs on either Telefutura or V-ME (PBS alternative channel) in the US, or Discovery Kids in Latin American Countries. The show is done by TELEVISA (Mexican Network that co-owns Univision and Telefutura).
@sme1ems Big bird appears in segments on the show but his clips used fro Sesame Street with Spanish voiceovers. He is the older cousin to the mascor bird "Abelardo" in this mexican version. On one of the previous seasons of the Plaza Sesamo, Abelardo talked about how he missed his cousin Big Bird and wanted to write him a letter but since he could not write, he used pictures to communicate and Big Bird wrote him back doing the same. In 1997, Abelardo did pay a visit to Sesame to see Big Bird.
Well, it seems many of the commenters are new to Plaza Sesamo, even when the show has been running since 1972 in Mexico and Latin America, and even when it has been played on spanish-talking networks in US. Give it a chance: it has charming characters and Sesame Workshop tries hard to adapt Sesame Street's original content to appeal latin american kids.
PS: No, Abelardo isn't Big Bird. Even there's a vintage Sesame Street episode devoted to Abelardo, in his attempt to meet his cousin Big Bird.
@BunnyfriendMX You don't have to sell me on it. I've been watching for five years now. My question is why is the show being presented going into season 13 when its been on air for almost 40 years? I remember reading that the show had been on since 1972 a while back.
@JhomasE The answer is quite simple: for many years latin american TV shows weren't produced in "seasons", I mean: they just ran from year A to year B, then if the shows were successful they got a little or a huge revamp, gaining a year or more of exposure. From late 90's - early 2000's, latin american television adopted the american season schedule. So the first "season" of Plaza Sesamo runs between 1972-73, the second season all 80's long, and the rest of the seasons from 1995 to date.
If you'd like to see stuff about Sesame Street in other countries, check out the documentary "The World According to Sesame Street." It's really cool.
@IansCheese Actually Dora Shows On Another Channel They Show Plaza Sesamo On Televisia I Know Beacause They Have The Channel In NJ (Where I Used To Live)
It's cool how it's not just American Sesame Street dubbed over in Spanish. The puppets look really good too. I love how colorful the Spanish Big Bird is!
