Saw them play over in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. Simply stunning. Brian didn't do much but does it matter if Johann Sebastian Bach keeps to himself during a performance of his cantatas? This is one of my favorite songs by the Beach Boys, and this is a great performance of a song that is really difficult to sing (I know, I tried) - one of the highlights. And I'm a Wondermints fan too so what's not to like? Utterly fantastic.
Carl was one of the reasons the BBs resurged after the 70s. Before PS and the Smile debacle Brian really had a great voice. Unfortunetly he broke down and Carl passed away. Brian has a great band and they (most of them) have quite good voices. That is a though song to sing. Wish Carl was alive and singing during Brian's comeback this past 12 yrs or so. Still I would use Darian, Taylor, Jeffrey, Nelson, Mike, Nick and Probyn into more leading singing parts. Carl was the man. U r correct.

This is about the best lead (not counting Carl of course) I've heard for this great song. This band can do it all.

@AllThisIsThat To be fair, Darian's voice does resemble that of Carl's quite a bit. He does a great impression in this number.

it is nice that Brian' band are sharing vocals. darlin is a though one and Darian does a real good job.
