James Clark Maxwell accurately defined radio waves as early as 1866, Edouerd Branley could detect them with his Coherer in 1890 and Heinrich Hertz successfully used radio waves between metal rings inn 1894. However it is Marconi that developed these lab experiments into a commercial viability, and in spanning the Altlantic in 1901 began the Radio Age - a concept generally thought to be impossible at the time. Marconi in spanning the Atlantic is truely the father of radio as we know it.

Boo-ga-ga! Caleidus does not know the radio invention history and G.Marconi’s biography. G.Marconi was born to a rich family and had never been poor. He also never was a student. He was excluded from school for academical failure. Then he failed to enter Italian Military Academy. Next year he also failed to pass entrance examinations for Bologna University. Then he stopped trying to get education. He never knew physics or electric engineering and spoke about this himself many times.

It is ludicrously to declare G.Marconi radio inventor as he knew physics not better than heldgehog knows algebra! When he was 50 (1924) he asserted in his speeches over the radio that short waves propagate 100 times as fast as long waves; he could not tell diffraction from refraction.

All the middle aged scientists working in the same field were shamed by Marconi. As a consequence of this jealousy defamatory stories spread against him. Just miserable lies. Non per questo nn viene considerato l'inventore del telefono cellulare. Tesla viveva negli USA, aveva molti + mezzi di Marconi per sviluppare un apparato radio ma nn lo fece. Cercò di fregare Ferraris inventandosi (nelle sue memorie del 1915) di aver concepito i motori ad induzione nel 1882. Anke qui nn abbiamo nulla. Tesla era un furbakkione !!!

Tesla si è beccato (immeritatamente) un'unità di misura, un Nobel (altrettanto immeritato) che rifiutò per eccesso di permalosità, è diventato il santo protettore dei complottisti e degli adepti new age, quindi tutto è tranne che dimenticato; marconi ha ideato una nuova tecnologia utilizzando anke tecnologia sviluppata da altri (cosa ke nn negò mai) .....

The admirers of G.Marconi do not read his own written scripts. In his biographies and in his Nobel lecture Marconi reported, that he started the experiences on wireless communication in the garret of father’s country-house in Italy in June 1895.

At the beginning of the Nobel lecture Marconi adduces his first scheme, which couldn’t work. In his 1st and 2nd patents ( published in the Internet), Marconi wrote a lot of physical absurdities.

In 1901 Marconi failed to transmit the letter “S” through Atlantic Ocean. But he deceived everybody and he said, that this transmission took place. Marconi told most of all physical absurdities at the Nobel lecture, where he said, that Hertz was wrong, when he had discovered, that radio-waves could transmit through the ether and air. In Marconi’s opinion, radio-waves must transmit on the surface of earth and water, that is a monstrous mistake.

dalla high court britannica nel 1911. Ha smentito la sentenza della corte statunitense che assegnava il brevetto a tesla primo perché marconi aveva un giudizio in corso nei confronti della corte statunitense, poi perché l'ufficio brevetti a londra non accettò subito il brevetto di marconi... A tesla viene riconosciuto tutt'oggi lo studio fatto sulle onde radio, ma tesla non sperimentò nessun impianto munito di onde radio se non dopo la presentazione di marconi

Quando ho pubblicato il mio promo commento,intendevo dire che tesla è stato il maestro di marconi ,marconi andò a cercare tesla con lo scopo di imparare da lui ,e così è andata ,poi marconi portò avanti idividualmente ciò che da tesla imparò..L'aspetto formale non lo conosco.

A great man, not fully understood in Italy, as it always happens to geniuses in that country. Thanks God, he found an opportunity in the UK and the USA (no surprise!). Italy despised Marconi, until he proved to be right. That's why there is no ground for Italy to claim radio to be an Italian invention.

Marconi se fosse stato ascoltato dalle autorità italiane sicuramente sarebbe arrivato prima all'invenzione della Radio. Per sua fortuna era per metà suddito britannico essendo la madre irlandese: la regina Vittoria gli mise a disposizione addirittura la flotta britannica, per i suoi esperimenti!

Nonostante tutto si è sempre sentito più italiano che irlandese: grande Marconi!
