  • Bless him.

  • I just cried, because of this wonderful movie.

  • First time i took lsd (lsd shiva it was called), totaly changed my life For the first time i understod myself and the world around me.. Thank you all that is in the family. I owe you my life.

  • thank you doc, forever grateful !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I urge everyone to open your books and learn organic chemistry. Learn the synthesis of LSD. Save humanity and save yourself... Legalize all psychotropics. God Bless!!!!!

  • amasing, why then lsd has evil effects? i dont understand it

  • ... what do you mean by evil effects? did you have any experiences where you know it has such things on yourself or first hand reports of it?

  • @mysticalfrequency Hallucinogenic mushrooms, LSD, and MDMA are popular among junior and senior high school students who use hallucinogens.

There is a considerable body of literature that links the use of some of the hallucinogenic substances to neuronal damage in animals, and recent data support that some hallucinogens are neurotoxic to humans. However, the most common danger of hallucinogen use is impaired judgment that often leads to rash decisions and accidents.

i also have the link ^^

  • @SpicyHime25 first of all MDMA is neurotoxic , and research chemicals might be , but wheres a study that says LSD is neurotoxic or psilocibyn ? Even DMT , wheres a study??? post link please , cause for what ive known LSd causes no toxic eefect on neurons , it mimicks serotonin just like prozac does , binding itself to the receptor.. its a very safe compound from a toxic point of view , its dangers are psychological and well documented.

  • @MrAjh420 , right,so , how can it be consiedered a wonderfulchild[?

  • @ it has to return to therapy , to medicine (where it has proven its wonders) give LSd back a context , either a spiritual or a therapeutic one.. until so , itl be considered just another drug on the streets...

  • @mysticalfrequency . yes, ud like to chat on it?

  • 100 years on earth, goodness knows how many acid trips, and one of his first sentences is he'd like to thank god

  • Dr. Hoffmann Sir, your daughter lucy saved my life. Peace

  • @alienascii why? if i may ask

  • Parabens mr hoffman

  • don't know if "busy-nessman" was intentional, but i really like it so..

  • artificial establishments and materialistic objects via man made government economy, banks, new cars, your job as a wage slave, and green pieces of paper take control of most peoples lives as we know it, LSD simply opens the door into a more concentrated sense of your actual reality with the absence of what man and the human race has led you to believe:

IMAGINE: life in the present with the absence of what you normaly worry about just imagine...just drop

  • Albert Hoffman died at the age of 102 on April 29, 2008. As reported, he was vibrant and vigorous (mentally and physically) until almost the very end (cut the guy a break…he was 102).

He synthesized it because LSD already existed in nature (hence he didn't create it).

Probably the greatest psychopharmacological discovery of the 20th Century.

  • FAKE !

  • @rico94270 what is fake?

  • @faridjabba I don't know, I was eating LSD this day... Sorry.

  • Incredible. I love this guy.

  • He looks outstanding at 100 years old absolutely.

  • Albert Hofmann RIP. You are the man.

  • Great man. He didn't, however, create lysergic acid diethylamide; he was the first person to synthesize, ingest, and learn of its psychedelic effects.

  • @blewj Yeah, thanks for the info Mr. Copy-Paste from Wikipedia!!

  • @Albanez39 Nonetheless, he didn't invent it, and an ad hominem attack doesn't change that.

  • @blewj He didn't invent it. He created it...

  • @Albanez39 He didn't create it. He synthesized it.

  • @blewj And what does it mean ? :)

  • @Albanez39 To my understanding it's to take something organic and make it artificial/synthetic. Or is it more Hegelian than that?

  • @blewj create and discover.. possible to create it

  • gracias tio albert,!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • r.i.p

  • Impressiv

  • :D

  • lol and it most certainly is a workout regime. you should refrain from advising people on things which you haven't studied. OJ is terrible. Oatmeal with no sugar but with a little fat is excellent.. potato salad.. slow "sustained" release of calories. B-vitamins, maybe, calcium, magnesium definitely, but not juice or anything which rapidly changes sugar level, blood pH, body temperature. It's called common sense. especially in sensitive states when the muscles in your head are uh working out ;)

  • You will forever be in the minds and hearts of us all Albert, Hoffman. I wish I could say that I have had the chance to try your wonderful creation but alas I have not. The closest I have came is LSA which I will continue to further experiment with untill I can get my hands on your wonder child. Thank you, hoffman. For your truely brilliant "mistake". You will not go unmissed and your creation will be far from forgotten.

  • @rtrxggg please learn to spell the man's name correctly, thanks.

It's... printed right here at the top of the page, it should be easier for you than most things you have been trying to do with English

or are you just the poster child for "deficiency symptoms:"

  • @fatchants Please learn to capitalize before you rant and try not to troll so much. Your comment was a pointless waste of time for both me and you. Learn to let shit go and fuck off every once in a while.

  • Comment removed

  • @rtrxggg @rtrxggg dude grow up and stop using vulgar language on a page such as this. disagreeing and flaming someone who says something stupid, that's fine. we all do it. and seriously, if you manage to post on a page dedicated to the guy and *can't spell his name correctly*, you're making a fool of yourself, and of lsd. and all of us. so stand corrected like a mature rational person. and respect people enough to spell or pronounce their names the right way, it's a good way to live.

  • i've tried lsd about 4 times but only tripped hard twice. Both times i found myself unable to hold a conversation with my trip buddy. I gained nothing from the experience, although i did have some cool visuals. I just felt really fried the following day. idk if i should try it again or not. advice anyone?

  • @GREGGORVICH12

Make sure you get lots of nutrition just prior, and eat fruit during. Conversation is over rated.

  • @Smeogul fruit is terrible, that's dangerously bad advice.

it would seem better to.. first start by saying "it would seem" unless you're God and know everybody's body, metabolism, and sugar tolerance

and it would seem best to eat things that produce a _slow sustaining release_ of blood sugar.. potato salad, oatmeal w/o sugar, something with dense carbs but not too much protein, as that can be draining to digest, leave your energy accessible for the acid, it will be needed. avoid salt also.

  • @fatchants

It's not a work out regime and sugar release isn't the point. Not only is fruit, generally considered good for humans, but Vitamin C, Vitamin A & Potassium (in natural and readily absorbable forms) are the order of the day here, as those ones specifically get depleted - completely absent in foods you named .

I'm surprised you've never heard of some O.J. being a must... your poor brain :(

  • Comment removed

  • @Smeogul really man. try to help people not just be right.

terrible things happen to people which are blamed on lsd simply because they don't know how to eat, and because as a race we're unfathomably stupid when it comes to recognizing quickly-released sugar as a drug, in a very real way.. it is as addictive.. you crash and need more, and when you don't get it you're cranky and irritable. slow, sustained release of calories, such as from dense carbs w fat, which slows stomach emptying time.

  • @fatchants um no

the difference between us is that I wasn't trying to correct someone just to try too hard to do so, but because an instant jolt of sugar, such as from fruit, can be dangerous to one's health. especially as many people don't eat for a long time, their blood sugar drops. do you know much about blood sugar?

vitamin A is stored in the body, you don't need to panic and take more "because you're tripping" and vitamin C is irrelevant. it's the sugar and the pH of juice..

  • I am SO proud to share my birthday with him!

  • Gee thanks, mate. You are responsible for producing a shitload of psychosis in the 60s.He discovered it..didnt like it himself as he got poisoned by it,yet thought he would pass it on to the army and CIA and such for mind-control.

  • discoverd the Path way into our own minds and human souls. the man believed in his work, so we may understand someday.

  • l espoir pour l humanité!

  • @DrMMHMD still, you get my point :)

  • Comment removed

  • @matebary let me guess.. you're not doing that well in school because you fail to do research and homework? and you try to overcompensate for lack of actual knowledge by merely increasing the volume of your opinions.. am I close? lol

  • @matebary

In 1962, he and his wife Anita traveled to southern Mexico to search for the plant "Ska Maria Pastora" (Leaves of Mary the Shepherdess), later known as Salvia divinorum. He was able to obtain samples of this plant but never succeeded in identifying its active compound which has since been identified as the diterpenoid Salvinorin A.

  • Comment removed

  • @matebary and he inspired wonderful people like Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, John Coltrane, Aldous Huxley, oh and Francis Crick, the guy who discovered the structure of DNA while on LSD, won a Nobel Prize and so forth.. educate yourself some, you look silly.

  • @matebary i cannont stand people like you, stop trying to control other intelligent conscious human beings decisions. After my first and only trip i have been nothing but a healthier, more intelligent, truly conscious human. You are completely naive.

  • @matebary "ur letting a drug take over your life" ? think about how stupid this is, you're declaring this extreme and crazy sounding thing about.. who? everyone who things the stuff is a good thing when used properly, by mature, intelligent people who read a lot about it?

that's "letting a drug take over your life"? the panic reaction you have to simple matters of personal choice when it comes to higher education.. speaks volumes to the bugs inside of you, and nothing more. we're fine ;)

  • @fatchants I suppose he/she thanks that when people use chemicals to save their lifes it's letting a "drug take over your life" because otherwise you wouldn't have it. The world is ran by these immature, unknowledgable people who are scared of the things inwhich they do not understand and wish not to persue them in order to gain in wisdome and intellegence.

  • Comment removed

  • @fatchants It's pretty fucked up when you troll so much that you try to insult the ones that agree with you.

  • not the inventor,, the discoverer!

  • This man had contributed a great leap in the evolution of the Human consciousness more than he would had probably ever believed. In a way, it also contributed to ultimate peace between all people.

  • i love this guy

  • Basel, My city, My life <3

    My grand-dad knew Albert personally,

sucks that they weren't best friends (foreeverrr).

to Albert; You have truly made Chemistry a far beyond interesting subject, thank you and rest in Peace, I know you be tripping somewhere up there.

subtitles not that good, well it is but, it's better to actually understand all of his words in German. thanks for uploading though

  • @marloon5 i rode around the ring of saturn with albert on a white horse he had gold tooth and hearing aid i idont know what i had on my face there is no self reflesion when you get that high lol

  • Pause the clip at 6.11

He is looking at you my friend.

    Looking at you.

What a legend of a man and mind.

  • @19SeanMurphy79 no, he doesnt, my friend.. maybe you were high and think over the eyes in the shadow, yeah its scary, but its just shadow

  • Quote: "I also like to thankful all visitors who contribute to spread the message in the world that LSD contains"

Thank you very much for recording this! Incredible moment!

  • it amazes me how someone so old could look so healthy and stronge his spirit has seen the cycles of aging life reborn many times as his ora shines a bright symbol of royalty a crown of gold that helped him stay young in his old age holding on to his body for as long as he could 102 years in body but one split second in in this life time.

  • Thank you Doctor, you changed my life! R.I.P.

  • At 100 years of age, after decades of using LSD, does it look like this man is not mentally healthy? He looks FAR more healthy than your average 100 year old. Important fact.

  • i have never done lsd because i didn't trust the people who could supposedly supplie it. But I definitely would like to try it to touch my inner self.

  • @elrenato82 There's a few ways that you can make sure what you are getting is LSD. If you a blotter for example you want it to have either no taste or a VERY mild taste (the paper or ink). If its very bitter it is not LSD.

  • @darkiz7 "who you finna try!?" Your page is a perfect example of why people shouldn't do lsd. 10/10

  • You changed my life Dr. Hoffman, the most sincere thank you from the bottom of my soul.

  • Bragging about accidentally doing something seems strange. Especially something that has no positive value like lsd. What a sad legacy to leave.

  • @swamislocal1 0/10... bad bad trollin, NOW BACK TO YOUR CAVE!

  • 2:19 yeah

  • SI MUY BUENO

  • he became 102 beceause of lsd (y)

  • @glassdickjones : you're obviously a stupid piece of shit!!hahaha. LSD is a powerful/empowering / &enlightening substance!!.... For those that know how to use it!!. If I didn't use LSD and love my life ...... I'd beat the shit out of you, knock your teeth out & cut your fingers off for wasting space on here with your shithead comments!!haha.... This man accomplished more than youll ever accomplish!!.... LSD didn't change anything!!!???..... How bout all the great music of the 60's!!??.... Hendr

  • @1trueslayer Yep, you're tough and smart.

  • You can be a Dr. and a Chemist still be bat shit crazy, and still have underlying issues with reality. Not all science is researched for the betterment of mankind. Albeit there have been great discoveries from constant testing even in the most inhumane cases, that have helped mankind, a shit ton have been detrimental. Life without finding the chemical compound or the effects of LSD, would be the exact same. Pull your tongues out of this guys ass. You sound like a bunch of fanatics.

  • @glassdickjones well i think the common wood in any trailer park knows about glassdick mr jones but i know u must be joking with yer coments.oplehymer is good example of scince gone bad but what is your trip, did u get rapped by a hippy?did u take acid and find out ur gay?what is the hate on albert for?yea though i can seeall the dumb coments from people

  • @MrHumbolthippy . I will have to assume, purely based on your comment, that you don't really have any advanced education and most likely have wasted your life and probably the time and money of your family and others around you. congrats.

  • @glassdickjones How many times have you tried LSD? You seem to know so much about it

  • a year before his death i was visiting a friend when he recieved a letter from DR.A. Hoffman himself. I got to hold and read this very touching letter written on his very own stationary (a light tan with his name and title in a very subtle shade of darker tan printed in the background at an angle across the entire page).... i called everyone i knew that was close to me.. i was so excited.. no one understood... such a great mind, and beautiful soul.. you will always be loved and missed. R.I.P.

  • look at how much culture has evolved since the late great Dr. hoffmans discovery in comparison to before lsd was discovered..........that should paint u a picture

  • this man is 100 years old, and took the drug he created well into his 90's! a well documented FACT. Notice he stands, he does not require oxygen, he speaks coherently! Faring far better than most people who never touched it, but took their antidepressants, and heart medication, and drank alcohol, and smoked cigarettes- all of which are legal. The law is not your friend!

  • I took LSD, experienced enlightenment and stopped feeling ashame of being gay. Medicine for the soul.

Much infinite love to you, Albert. Thank you for your visit.

  • @Guitarscreech06 nah u should still feel ashamed

  • wow, slow motion clapping sounds cool.

    Thank You Hoffman

  • brutal RESPEKT!

  • Im So Thankful For The One Time I Had LSD!!! Ill Never Forget It, I Had Never Seen Life The Same Way. In Some Way I Found It More PeaceFull. Thank You Albert Hoffman.

  • 419 love.nuerosoup is a federal informant.see nuerosoupfraud video

  • @MrHumbolthippy look behind you.. what...... wait, did you hear that? huh......... what was that? There's somebody over there, look, right there...... huh? Over there behind the bush it's a ...... that guy right there...... wait what........ What was that..... Dude they are watching our every move MAN!...... whoa..... huh? schizo says what?....... It's the man, MAN! .......shhhhhhhhh. They're gonna getcha!

  • @glassdickjones whoes a tweaker, hmmmmmmmmm.yer the one who is spun buddy.i have real problems becuase im family and someone has to represent unlike asses like u ,im intrested to know what u got for us

  • allright everybody time for a bike ride 419 peace

  • To live through an entire century is something. I'm only 19 and already getting tired lol

  • Sleep well, let your energies fuel another life.

  • Proof that LSD doesn't mush your brain!

Most 100 year olds are senile and would not be capable of producing such a well-spoken speech. Hoffman appears to be in very good mental health!

  • A truly great man in so many ways. An unusual combination of open-mindedness and rationality. You are missed.

  • Thank you very much Mr. Albert Hoffman!!!

  • enjoy yer acid.

and the fact that you are STILL able to enjoy it.

    Hard days are coming ;)

    Hoffman died 100 yearz old

    but you still not hoffman

    FAREWELL FATHER,

    your real problem-child.

  • He was in great condition for being 100

  • How cool is that !!!

  • 6:07 actually he became 102..

    R.I.P.

  • His acid starts kickin in at 5:07. Gotta love a guy who still trips at 100 years old.Guess what I'm gonna be doin if I live that long.

  • @religilous1 you're going to be and even older moron than you are now, but that's just my guess.

  • THIS MAN IS GOD!

  • P.L.U.R.

    watch?v=8SyfG0IOKNo

  • My friend Tez won't take acid 'cos he's "scared of going mental" I've tried all the usual comparisons with THC and MDMA ( He's happy with them, of course! ) But he still wets his knickers when i mention the Lysergic. Come on guys, lets hear some motivation 'n' Inspiration AND LETS GET TERIG TRIPPING!

  • I am sooo glad someone sent him to school for chemistry!!!!!!!

  • Hard to believe he's 100 years old in this video, he looks like he's in his 70s.

  • I believe i t shouldn't be thought as a chemical drug that teenagers have at the parties it is one of the most advanced and brilliant medicine that human being have found respect to you Sir Albert Hoffman :)

  • You saved us all from a fake world and blindness... Without you and some other illuminated people like you we'll be still in the dark caves of conciousness... He brought us a gift from beyond and for that we will remembered him for all eternity...

  • That's right! :)

Consciousness is rising on our planet!!!! KEEP MOVING!

  • LSD! i took it 5 times, Most amazing fealing, better then mdma, but after the 5th time iremembered my self before i even took it, i was a different person.. not like i dont know who i am but its like i am the same but with enother brain, another look of realety, and how different my points off view changed about god and people... u have to think twice before you take a hit!!!

  • same expireience for me too buddy LSD is truly a life changing drug, it will change you without a doubt, i too remember myself before i took acid and i was a very different person, i seem to think more about things now and consequences, its like a chess player, they think like 6 moves ahead, well it is the same for me but i think 6 places forward for every scenario in reality! i guess thats not such a bad thing though. I NEVER REGRET TAKING LSD IT OPENS YOUR MIND TO THE REAL WORLD IMO

  • at the same time, its not for everyone.

some people simply shouldnt take lsd under any circumstances, at all.

but for those of us who can, it can be such a wonderful thing.

it is for me, and has made me a better person

  • @DbozenD I agree I've done all drugs and I'm not proud of any of them. But LSD changed my life so profoundly that NOTHING was the same ever again, this reality and world that we live in is truly infinite - we use only a tiny proportion of the human mind in normal consciousness. But LSD releases your mind and you feel everything! the greatest feeling in the world - a million times better than MDMA or Heroin (in fact you cant even compare)

  • @charlieeloise the thing you said about using only a tiny proportion of the human mind is false. The human mind is active in all areas of the mind, as well as the sensory nervous system. just a friendly fyi.

  • I can only hope to leave behind a legacy half as great as Hoffman did. And I swear he doesn't look a day over 70!

  • thank you, Hoffman,

for giving me the best day in my life.

your name will never dye, but stay alive in our hearts.

  • He must have had very good genes to look so young. Maybe being so analytical kept his metabolism alive. One of the most brilliant minds of all time for sure, and he must have been assured that he had lived his life to the fullest in every way. RIP

  • . . a true Saint doing God's work . .

  • R.I.P

  • The 2 Alberts...Hoffman and Einstein....the smartest minds man has ever witnessed!

  • it's ...........

i don't know why but i get emotional of this video!!

i wish i could have seen him speaking for real.

mr. hoffman, (up in heaven)thank you for everything.

  • that's Dr. Hoffman to you missy!

  • LMAO 2:20 "yeeahhh"

  • cigarettes and alcohol do SO much more damage than anything else. trust!!!! acid as with any other drug, only fucks you up if your already a fuck up! hoffmans proof of that!

  • Bill Cosby hadda talk on drugs, I mean, the subject of his talk was drugs. So his buddy said, "It intensifies my personality" and Bill said , coll, but what if you're an ass hole?!? . . lol

  • he looks so healthy for 100, maybe all the lsd makes you young, time to drop some!!

  • . . .one raw egg a day . . A.H.

  • LSD, Psilocybin, DMT, Ayahuasca, Ibogaine, etc etc etc

I would say they are all natural ways of insight and mind expansion.

If you think these substances are bad..I wonder what you think of cigarettes and alcohol.

  • Well of course cigarettes and alcohol are major killers. We all know that. But who's to say LSD is harmless? Tobacco is "natural" and is a killer. Also alcohol is a terrible drug but it isn't powerful enough to cause extreme visual and auditory distortions like LSD does. it has to be harmful in some sort of way.

  • @sealord123 i know this is a very late reply but i just want to inform you that lsd is harmless for the most part.almost everything is lethal in large enough amounts ie:food, water, oxygen, drugs. but lsd has been proven safe, tobacco iis mainly dangerous because of the carcinogens in the fertilizer. ive taken lsd MANY times, and alot of times, in high doses.and im perfectly helathy, physically and mentally. if you dont read this, at least other people thinking lsd os a horrible drug might see it

  • All I'm saying is our minds would probably be healthier and better off without it in the first place, theres no need to ingest that sort of stuff.. but then again I've always wanted to try it and haven't had any luck finding it.

  • @sealord123 actually it can enhance some parts of your brain. lsd has done wonders for peoples psyche, it can give you a better outlook on life, and can make you a happier person.

  • @frylock1991 Well I agree with you I recently tried it and all I gotta say is it makes the stars look telescopic. I doubt what I was taking as pure lsd but I certainly had a good time.

  • @sealord123 the most common impurity in lsd is just "iso-lsd" its still active, lsd is almost never laced so u were fine, and yewah, the perfect word for lsd is esoteric.

  • @frylock1991 Well I agree now, tried it recently and had a good time. I felt sick after wards but after I threw up I felt fine, the effects are hard to explain, but then again what I took probably was not pure LSD. I certianly had a good time though, it plays tricks on your mind makes things everyhting around you seem different. I could not stop smiling haha. oon my friends are planning to have a "bong Olympics" and I'm going to be tripping while being the "referee". Man thats gonna be fun hahaa

  • Considering how much bad press LSD gets, it's funny how Albert Hoffman not only lived to 102 but had a great and fulfilling life as well. Acid only fucks with you if you're irresponsible with it.

But, Hoffman's life is merely an observation - I guess judgement can't be passed on one individual's experience.

  • my dentists name is Dr. Hoffman. I try not to laugh when i ever i go to the dentist!

  • i cried:(

  • In tiefer Verbundenheit und Hochachtung zu Dr. Hofmann.

  • R.I.P. he was such a brilliant man

  • LSD was the beginning of consciousness for me. Thank -you- Dr. Albert Hofmann for allowing me to live a more conscious life as opposed to just being another unconscious human animal.

  • Your judgement pertaining to things that someone else has experienced, and not you, means YOU lose. Albert Hoffman can thank whatever he wants. That dude lived to be well over one hundred. How old are you ? Whippersnapper !

  • nice open thought there Rudy whats shaken shape?

  • Der Prophet des LSD-Evangeliums. :-)

  • Pure love and admiration for this man.

The world would be a much better place if everyone experienced the results of his work.

  • he looks good at 100!

  • lsd is the solution for the world peace...if every body take it.. no one will bother anyother....

    thnks mr hoffman!

  • you are great dr. Hoffman !

    Thank you very much !

  • lol, at 5:07 there's like a flashback or something.

  • Dr Hoffman you will be missed, your "problem child" was not a "problem" at all...it changed the world, if it hadnt been for LSD the world would be very different! this is why I study the noble science of Chemistry and enjoy it very much, to know that a small lab accident changed the world like that...makes me want to have a lab accident too! ;-)

  • @xjkgx

it amazes me how someone so old could have looked so healthly his spirit never aged and his body held on to it for as long as it posible could

  • it amazes me how someone so old could have looked so healthly his spirit never aged and his body held on to it for as long as it posible could

  • it seems really sad that he died. Im just now learning a bout him too, ive heard he had a great life.

One day, lsd will be hailed upon.
