The zune mp3 players is great! :D But it whould be nice to get the Zune HD and the Zune marketplace in europe. I bought a iPod nano 2G and it's the most waste of money I've ever did.

dna1101, My friend I understand you think hardware is the most important thing but to me thats PC people mentality, we mac users think more about OS and how the OS handles the hardware it runs on, For example my macbook pro has 2 CPU cores at 3.06ghz and thanks to new OpenCL and grandcentral I can take Advantage of my 2 GPUs 1 with 32 cores running at 1.25ghz and another with 16 cores running at 1.1ghz which means I have a total 50 cores running in the same time. Now thats a lot of gigaflops.

I'm hoping the Zune HD has atleast a few days straight of battery (obviously the zune HD will take more juice than the Tegra by itelf, but battery life should be amazing nonetheless)

I have a $200 LG Voyager and I am very content with it. I also am not entirely against Apple. I also have a 32 Gb iPod touch which has major limitations but it isn't too bad. I took it back and the zune caught my eye. the clerk told me that ipods have been getting returned alot lately, but they have NEVER gotten a zune back. And can understand why. It is durable as fuck. Look at the iPod, from a design POV. It's simple and plain, even when you buy another colour the shades are faded. The GUI is basic has pretty much 3 colours to it.
Yes, touching a screen to navigate IS cool, but ultimately it gets the same job done as the Zune, except for a few minor things that no body really needs anyway.

The inbox shows all the pictures/songs you've recieved. Makes it more convenient. Instead of only being able to try to locate the song you recieved in your music collection, you just go into inbox, and it's right there.

Updates are only capable of changing software. It can't magically change the hardware from buttons to touch sensors. No scrolling unless you buy the new model.

It's the same with ipod/itunes. I actually find this system much simpler than other drag and drop systems I have seen. I don't doubt there is some sort of option where you can do things manually (there is in itunes), but I dodn't really see why you would delete it from your computer anyways. Hard drives are pretty cheap now. I got a 500 GB Western Digital for $130.

the zune screen is BIGGER than any iPod, and its also glass - so it doesn't scratch - unlike ipods plastic screen.
I've had my zune 80 for 9 months now, still with no scratches. works like a charm. Add in zune pass and you're set to go.

The thing I hate is that if you buy a Zune 4GB/8GB if you put videos, its gonna be kinda hard to see since the screen is smaller. I didnt want to buy the 250$ ones. I could buy a freakin Wii with that much money! :P

the sending song thing is the only advantage of the zune the ipod touch clearly outruns it in features as of the price the zune is cheaper but if ur a mac user i been told thses things don't work and cannot be synchronised with mac os x i for one am running on a mac mini plus i live in germany i never seen the zune here never but the ipod is here in every version no presens in some countrys create plan and apple is anyway better than mircosoft so y buy a zune?

What he's saying is the Zune has alot more flair to it from a design point of view.
Look at the iPod, from a design POV. It's simple and plain, even when you buy another colour the shades are faded. The GUI is basic has pretty much 3 colours to it.
Yes, touching a screen to navigate IS cool, but ultimately it gets the same job done as the Zune, except for a few minor things that no body really needs anyway.

The inbox shows all the pictures/songs you've recieved. Makes it more convenient. Instead of only being able to try to locate the song you recieved in your music collection, you just go into inbox, and it's right there.

I picked the zune because it has nearly 3x the capacity, FM radio, wifi sharing/sync, large screen, better navigation interface, and all at half the price.

you can't compare the ipod touch to the zune, touch is ment more like a pda with the advantage of a decent music player, zune is more strictly based on music. Better sound quality larger capacity. you really can't compare the two.

Updates are only capable of changing software. It can't magically change the hardware from buttons to touch sensors. No scrolling unless you buy the new model.

It's the same with ipod/itunes. I actually find this system much simpler than other drag and drop systems I have seen. I don't doubt there is some sort of option where you can do things manually (there is in itunes), but I dodn't really see why you would delete it from your computer anyways. Hard drives are pretty cheap now. I got a 500 GB Western Digital for $130.
