the 1.8 is the base model (manual windows, locks. just cheaper) the s is a step above it having power windows and power locks and things of that such, I think that the S has a few more horsepower too.

The 350z's whole thing is that it is a high-performance sports car that a lot of people can afford. Nissan made it to be a great value for your dollars. If you're talking about the coupe, it's been replaced this year with the 370z which has improved interior and 0.2 liter more of displacement (power). The 350z used to be about 306hp, the 370z coupe is 332. Stock, it is about 5 seconds 0-60 MPH, faster than 98% of cars you'll see on a normal day out driving. It starts at about $30,000 new.

not to be an ass to you but in 2002 they did not use the 1.8 trims. those are the XE, GXE, and SE R. Therefore being nearly a different generation. They started the 1.8, 1.8s trims in '04
