Hes underrated because hes no good. With all the scorers and shooters Grizzlies have, theres no reason why Conley should not be averaging atleast 7-8 assist per game. The guy lacks the good court vision nessessary to be a good NBA PG. Yea he has good quickness, athletcism, but his PG skills is below average.

Ignorance. Junior was good last season subsequent to Iavaroni being jettisoned. Prior to that the Grizz' offense comprised primarily of O.J. Mayo isolations....which would hinder any true point's assist statistics and in turn perception.

I think it's unfair to refer to Oden as a bust also. The guy had microfracture surgery before he stepped foot in the NBA. That's derailed the careers of standout players like Penny Hardaway, Jamal Mashburn, Allan Houston, etc.

We have given up deals for Sessions and other talented players. The next good deal that comes along they better pull the trigger and get ride of this kid. Conley definitely needs a chance. I think the kid is a bit overwhelmed is all. Remember he was practically right out of high school. He is very quick yet smooth and accurate. I think he can become great with the right circumstances. His lack of sucess this long worries me though cause hes never been a loser and thats a serious mental hurdle I think.
