  • I love both effects as I do most effects, and these 2 are pretty special. That said, the guts of the meatball don't sound that different than a lot of other filters. Which is fine, mostly it seems like they just expanded the controls. Went through an older filter and put pots where there were once standard resistors. The Big cheese is also kind of standard. It's a fuzz face with input/outbuffers and a nice tone section. Which are great, but the prices for these pedals is staggering!

  • Get an Ibanez auto wah and patch it with phaser and chorus and Bob's yer Uncle. Might need a gate with thyem tho.

  • Love these pedals, loved the video :)

  • Do these beasts eat batteries fast?

  • No, not really. G

  • With the risk of sounding unadventurous...rather than this 'complicated'setup,I'd rather have the plain and simple Wah(with volume) pedal. Without all these unnessecary little shite sounds you're likely never to use anyway.

  • @PAULLONDEN you don't have a very active imagination do you?

  • @PAULLONDEN The thing is that a wah pedal may be too cumbersome to use in certain applications. For example, in Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground", the Clavinet is put through a pedal like this for the entire song. It would just be annoying to try to keep up with the wah at the speed at which different notes are played and for the entire song.

  • @PAULLONDEN Some sounds are shite? I didn't know this but thanks, I'll watch out for them.

  • when you turned the big cheese on, it almost sounded like a talkbox

  • was the meatball on carrot rope by pavement?

  • Curious if your Big Cheese has a precaution label inside not to use power supply when battery is connected otherwise damage to unit would occur ... have started noticing these stickers on some of the Cheese Source units. Great demo as always!

  • @danceofthedruids Thanks for the private reply that your Big Chees does not have a precaution label inside. However, I just found a Big Cheese on an auction website that also has a precaution sticker warning not to run both battery and power supply at the same time or unit will be damaged. I will keep researching this - possibly there may have been a circuit change to prevent damage in later units. Curious if you can find anything on this subject.

  • This is the effect pedal for Mysterious Ways

  • like all Lovetone pedals. : )

I have dozens of vintage and modern pedals, and I still dream of those Lovetone monsters.

  • no... for mw you need the korg a3... this is the pedal for please, discotheque, do you feel loved, i will follow (popmart) and a lot of popmart songs..

  • I have an Alesis AirFX that I use as a guitar pedal. The filter sounds you can make with it are even wackier than the ones you're getting there with the Meatballs

  • what is that compression effect at 2:03.

    are using the camera's mic?

  • Yes, any comp is coming from the camera mic. G

  • Hi i have just got a meatball but have no manual and you sure know your stuff about them could you post up some good settings to get me started would be really helpfull :)

  • Sorry, lack of time means I can't do that but you could try to copy the setting seen in this video? G

  • Is there a modern copy of the Big Cheese? I can't find it anywhere!

  • look for OLC Chunky Cheese...quite the same pedal, maybe more output & some minor stuff.

  • Funk-a-licious!

  • Does it have an output for CV of the envelope? Can't find it in anything I read, would like to envelope control the OSC in a Ring Stinger via CV input.

  • Hi, "Pedal 1" socket controls the Decay pot. "Pedal 2" socket controls the Intensity pot. There is no separate CV output. G

  • whats the name of your band where can we find your music?

  • Hi, the name of the band was Candleman Summer. Sorry, there is currently no music available. I just chose the tune as an intro to my videos. G

  • i heard about these cuz Kirk Hammett uses it to do the intro for "I Disappear"

  • whats the first song???

  • It's a recording of my old band from years ago. The track is called Brilliant. G

  • hey grameme i managed to get 1 for 240 quid off ebay and i'm well chuffed :D

  • Nice one! I bet you'll be locked away for weeks discovering new sounds with it. Hope ya happy with your new pedal. G

  • aww words cannot describe how gutted i am that i cannot get my hands on a meatball pedal :( Gd video + Videos especially enjoyed the memory man, being an Edge fan myself too :D. DOes any 1 no where i can get a meatball pedal?

  • I see them on the net now and again (Ebay etc) but they are not cheap! Good luck.

  • 7:09

  • that's gotta be a geordie accent...

  • It is! Whey aye man!

  • Lovetone rocks!!! Thanks for vid.

  • With the setting at 2:30, you could do the solo from Paranoid Android.

  • I'd certainly like to use one of those for really synth-like effects.

  • That is such a cool name for a pedal. and it sounds psychedelic.
