@caulinrocker1 Rush , the CARS, ELO and about 14 other bands including YES. Theyre the list of bands the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame skips over every year. And now Motley Crue too. The list of bands missing out of the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame is to long, put your votes in !!
@caulinrocker1 llol, that message was for everyone, you have to keep an eye out for it, i think the CARS have a club in facebook and so does Motley Crue
I used to go this bar and at closing we would all start singing this to the jukebox and then closeout with Sweet Caroline. The chics loved it...it was kinda of our last shot at getting lucky.
Songs like this from that era shows how talented artist were to write such music with all the instrumentation, lyrics (catchy yet meaningful), and harmonies. All that and not a single cuss word, wow what a great idea. Artist of today from all types of music could learn from bands like this...
Who says The Electric Light Orchestra can't Rock? I LOVE this. Got the Album because of this song when the album was new! What a great Album! I am 54 and still love it.
Well, you can't make everyone happy. And this song proves it. Because there is actually one douche bag out of over 29,000 views that doesn't like this.
ELO was one of the only truly ORIGINAL bands with an original style, an original idea, and an original approach. Come on, who else took violins, cellos, woodwinds, and other classical music instruments and turned them into tools to make awesome rock music ? Unbelievable.
@clinkgirl2009 HOLY WOW! YES YES YES!!! LOL Not roller BLADING (which is French for "what me fall on my old ass"), but roller SKATING! I am sitting here smiling right now thinking of skating backwards, two-step skating, two-stepping BACKWARDS! *sigh* I miss my tennis show skates! :-) Thanks for the skate down memory lane. :-)
@savana906 Well it was just more the times then........no harm. I am dad now ad I like to think I have taste. Still cant handle rap though.............lol
PLEASE POST the original Move 7" single from 1972 (United Artists 50928). It is the definitive version of this song, and has the vocal at the end (killer ending) about here comes a spaceship. Thanks - DAVEDJ
GROWING UP IN THE SEVENTIES WAS A PLEASURE - TODAY'S GENERATION IS MISSING REAL MUSICAL TALENT AND GENIUS. CAN TODAY'S MUSIC BE CALLED "MUSIC"...? I THINK NOT. THANKFULLY, BANDS LIKE ELO, JOURNEY, BOSTON, ETC, CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN TODAY'S LISTENERS AND INFLUENCE TOMORROWS MUSICIANS!
@Wildeparker i know! dont you wish they were around today like they were the "lil waynes" and "drakes" of today? :D that would be awsome and this and many other classic rock bands is why I wish I grew up in the sixties\seventies!
@Wildeparker I know my comment's a bit late, But congrats my new freind. I saw them in concert 3 times in the US here. But then I've got 20 years on ya. :P But no worries mate, It took me about 30 years to discover quite a few UK bands I now know & love with all my heart.
True genius.
