He's a good player not to have re-raised, but can't fold that. I'm sure he had doubts but just thought if he's got it he's got it, i won't lose anymore chips then to just call.
@Impert Easy fold my ass. A boat is a boat, especially when it's Kings full. Raise was too big? I guess you fold every time someone shove-bluffs on the river, giving you bad odds to call. I might have believed your first statement, but your reason causes suspicion. You fall under the same category of "BS" that Gus was exposing.
I think Gus was kind of pissed at the other players' bitching. The worst they should be saying is "tough spot", even if they would have leaned to a fold (against Leaderer). "I would have done such and such..." yeah, whatever.
That's no fucking etiquette when a guy gets kings full beat. Online, anyone talking like this would get told to STFU.
Gus is a total class act, but really this is nothing even casual players shouldn't know.
There are only two combos that have him beat so he has to make the call, no matter what. Even if he never sees Lederer bluffing in that spot he can still raise it up with worse hands like 99, JJ or QQ. Moreover there's a slim chance Lederer also has K9. That's just a bad cooler.
Love Tuan Lee's face when they talk about how they may have folded the full house. heheh And by the end even Lee is almost laughing with Gus's bit. Nice to see Lee make a comeback in this episode actually and I think get heads up with Howard of course
@PlayaplayaAP it was scandal of UB online poker that one of the owner use superuser account (that can see other players hold cards) to play with others and cheated a lot of players' $
In all honesty, Howards assessment of the hand is absolutely right. Tuan couldn't really beat a hand that wasn't a bluff the way the hand played out. Having said that, you're often not thinking so clearly to think it out like that when your in the hand, and looking down at a boat. On his A-game, he may have mucked it, but it's rare anyone plays that good on a consistant basis.
I know I couldn;t have folded it unless I was absolutely tuned in.
No way he could have folded King full of 9 i mean howard could have had anything like Q full or J full or even 9 full it was a hand he could not have got away from
The title of this video All pros fold kings full on the river. I didn't see anyone fold though. I could NEVER fold kings full of nines with that board. I probably would have lost all my chips in that hand! Le was just unlucky but great job in not reraising though. Great read to at least not to reraise even though he called.
Wow - Yeah he kinda knew lederer had it, but it takes sooo much discipline to lay it down, for 7k most would prob call, unless it was an all in or something.
@kmvoss What do you mean? There were a lot of pros who promoted Full tilt....idk why do you call Lederer out? was he getting a bigger share or part of mgmt? I thought he was just on the advertising side of things, but it does seem like he was one of the main pros involved from the start.
Sounds like you think he will go to Jail?....not likely ....its not a US company, and no other country is going to prosecute him for ripping of Americans. NO WAY.
Bluff raising an ugly board like that get's a lot of mediocre hands to fold (he was considering folding K's full). Easy call if it was anyone but Lederer; if it was anyone else who took that line they'd get insta called/raised because they limped Pre-flop lol.
LOL at Lederer and Michael for limping behind eric IP with those hands...

this hand goes to show how far poker has come in terms of aggression. A limped pot! with KQ/77s. This would never happen now. Flat call top two with the drawyest of drawy boards, the mind boggles... Tuan Le TANKING, even thinking about folding with a boat here is just insane, goes to show how unbalanced Howards overall play was/is. What he can never have A10/missed flush draw/K10??? Jesus get me in this game
When howard reraised that river K9 turned from a monster into a bluff catcher. I don't think howard would have gotten out of line with AK or K10. You would think howard wouldn't limp AK preflop so only hand he could really beat that SOMETIMES is worth a reraie on that river is a K10. Howard Had 4 hands. OMG the end where Gus Hansen stares at Le and goes like "ye ye it was a bad call, really bad call. I MEAN WTF??" I laughed so much i started nearly crying omg never laughed so fucking hard...
lol bad call by Le... with wich hand lederer should raise here? it only can be KJ or KQ, if hes lucky he also have K9 and its a split pot. He will never raise with three of a kind or a straight here!
I will check out Power of Holdem , Thanks.. I agree about Gordon's Book lol :) , The guy's personality (he has none lol) is why I never checked it out. I can attest that Barry has taught people from the commerce casino who never played holdem and now are big players. For people that have not read that many poker books or none at all I Highly recommend a book called , "The Theory Of Poker" by David Sklansky. I use it as a reference book also. Take care
I'm sorry but a river raise against Howard Lederer means you're either beat or at best chopping. I would obviously call but I would definitely think about folding. I know I sound like a hole card pro here but I think this is pretty obvious.
how RUDE there all talking when Le is trying to concentrate no poker Etiquette that just proves that they were doing it on purpose. They were " Ganging up on him " in other words bc Howard is there friend. they know him alot longer n 2 them Le is still a fish. y else u dont give the other player his time to play.
seriously im no pro but come on lingren shut the fuk up. yeah your not in the hand so you say "yea i could have folded. He obviously had KQ." i loved how gus is like i mean WTF. cause hes joking but deep down inside is saying Erik STFU and stop making LE embarassed for his actions.
i'm an amateur at poker but i couldve folded this, u wanne know why? Cuz howard fuckin Lederer is the tightest player on the planet that plays nothing less then a full boat
@Noctis411 Lederer , Mizracky and daniel all agreed that they would of just called. (like lee did) You must protect your hand and calling was protecting it while being safe based on who he was playing. It was the right play to me. Like I said, I was very impressed with lee's play based on how he played in earlier tournaments that i have seen him play (Aggressive) . Good job Lee :)
In which televised poker game i can see you? Cause if it is pretty easy fold, then you should have like a huge bankroll and can afford to play high stakes games. Or maybe you are some stupid youtube specialist
@kutaplex What a silly argument. Since A6 suited is such a great hand from that position, why aren't you on any of these poker shows playing for high stakes? Surely you have the bankroll if it's such an easy raise.
@TomiAk47 What are you talking about? There was no bet facing Howard. He folded because it's a weak hand and he's in early position, against some great players. You can argue playing the hand from that position and many great players would, but there's nothing wrong with folding it.
You aren't taking into account that Howard was utg... Being in early position with an eaisly dominated hand is a recipe for disaster. Howard may be a nit, but this a pretty easy fold.
well position does not always matter, but considering his image as the tightest person alive it might be an easy fold... i dont know why ppl always point the matter of position out so doggedly... i would not call it an easy fold but k guess opinions are different...
@TomiAk47 The only time position doesn't matter is when you're all-in. There's a reason the best players in the world play the majority of their pots when they're in position. Playing out of position sucks. It's harder to bluff, harder to extract value, and harder to manage the size of the pot.
hmmm, of course it is better to be in position, but look at tom dwan for example, you can (if you got the guts/balls) outplay your opponents easily out of position if you can represent a very strong hand, which you automatically do if you do a huge raise out of position... hope you got my point... but generally i must admit that you are right
@TomiAk47 Tom Dwan has also said it's been a long time since he sat at a table and felt he wasn't the best player at the table. I seriously doubt Lederer considered himself the best player at that table, and he'd be wrong if he did. I do agree that with his tight image it's likely he can get away with it, but he also just won a huge pot for the chip lead so someone might think he's trying to run the table over with a marginal hand (which is what he'd be doing).
@Noctis411 hahahha it's a lot easier to play when you can SEE they cards. They can't. What are you basing this comment on? He's a published poker pro. You're a fucking joke.
any hand is an easy fold when howard lederer reraises river

I'm sorry but a river raise against Howard Lederer means you're either beat or at best chopping. I would obviously call but I would definitely think about folding. I know I sound like a hole card pro here but I think this is pretty obvious.

how RUDE there all talking when Le is trying to concentrate no poker Etiquette that just proves that they were doing it on purpose. They were " Ganging up on him " in other words bc Howard is there friend. they know him alot longer n 2 them Le is still a fish. y else u dont give the other player his time to play.
HarPlayer 10 months ago
seriously im no pro but come on lingren shut the fuk up. yeah your not in the hand so you say "yea i could have folded. He obviously had KQ." i loved how gus is like i mean WTF. cause hes joking but deep down inside is saying Erik STFU and stop making LE embarassed for his actions.
DamianTheFarmer 10 months ago
Guess no one would bet AK or K10 so it has to be KJ or KQ or a bluff
Graham6762 10 months ago
how dare eric lindgren say he can fold that hand. he';s a nobody.

wow cant stand the cocky and smug look lederer gives when he wins a pot, however when he loses, wow....it just makes my day :)

i'm an amateur at poker but i couldve folded this, u wanne know why? Cuz howard fuckin Lederer is the tightest player on the planet that plays nothing less then a full boat
Noctis411 10 months ago
@Noctis411 Lederer , Mizracky and daniel all agreed that they would of just called. (like lee did) You must protect your hand and calling was protecting it while being safe based on who he was playing. It was the right play to me. Like I said, I was very impressed with lee's play based on how he played in earlier tournaments that i have seen him play (Aggressive) . Good job Lee :)

@425dac
In which televised poker game i can see you? Cause if it is pretty easy fold, then you should have like a huge bankroll and can afford to play high stakes games. Or maybe you are some stupid youtube specialist
kutaplex 11 months ago
@kutaplex What a silly argument. Since A6 suited is such a great hand from that position, why aren't you on any of these poker shows playing for high stakes? Surely you have the bankroll if it's such an easy raise.
Dreamline78 11 months ago
did lederer fold A - 6 suited for only 1k bet?
TomiAk47 11 months ago
@TomiAk47 What are you talking about? There was no bet facing Howard. He folded because it's a weak hand and he's in early position, against some great players. You can argue playing the hand from that position and many great players would, but there's nothing wrong with folding it.
Dreamline78 11 months ago
@Dreamline78
any suited hand with an A is well playable, i would not call it a weak hand... and it is at least worth giving it a 1k call...
TomiAk47 11 months ago
@TomiAk47
You aren't taking into account that Howard was utg... Being in early position with an eaisly dominated hand is a recipe for disaster. Howard may be a nit, but this a pretty easy fold.
425dac 11 months ago
@425dac
well position does not always matter, but considering his image as the tightest person alive it might be an easy fold... i dont know why ppl always point the matter of position out so doggedly... i would not call it an easy fold but k guess opinions are different...
TomiAk47 11 months ago
@TomiAk47 The only time position doesn't matter is when you're all-in. There's a reason the best players in the world play the majority of their pots when they're in position. Playing out of position sucks. It's harder to bluff, harder to extract value, and harder to manage the size of the pot.
Dreamline78 11 months ago
@Dreamline78
hmmm, of course it is better to be in position, but look at tom dwan for example, you can (if you got the guts/balls) outplay your opponents easily out of position if you can represent a very strong hand, which you automatically do if you do a huge raise out of position... hope you got my point... but generally i must admit that you are right
TomiAk47 11 months ago
@TomiAk47 Tom Dwan has also said it's been a long time since he sat at a table and felt he wasn't the best player at the table. I seriously doubt Lederer considered himself the best player at that table, and he'd be wrong if he did. I do agree that with his tight image it's likely he can get away with it, but he also just won a huge pot for the chip lead so someone might think he's trying to run the table over with a marginal hand (which is what he'd be doing).
Dreamline78 11 months ago
@Dreamline78
good point right there, but anyways he should at least give it a try i think... but well said and good arguments there, gotta like it
peace

Noctis411 1 year ago
@Noctis411 hahahha it's a lot easier to play when you can SEE they cards. They can't. What are you basing this comment on? He's a published poker pro. You're a fucking joke.
