Its not about it being a rip off of Team America idiots, its about this GI Joe movie looking like its a very sad un-satirical take on the theme from Team America, and how its funny the way the movies are so similar. Its like watching Team America and thinking it was a dead serious action movie.
wrong! there from the latest version of the cartoon except there they were called the Sigma Six accelerator suits so i guess technically these are an earlier version
Show lotsa things happenin' at once, remind everyone of what's going on (What's Going On!), and with every shot, show a little improvement. To show it all would take too long! That's called a mon-tage! EVEN ROCKY HAD A MONTAGE!
Always fade out in a montage...... if ya fade out it seems like more time has passed... in a montage.......... montage...........
Team America was the very first thing I thought about when I saw the trailer for this idiotic film. I mean, for God's sake, at least Team America was making fun of Jingoism, this is just reinforcing it.
When it comes to G.I.Joe, perfection is key. They're suppose to be military personell! So, why aren't they wearing camo? And the space suits are as cornball as it gets. Plus, everyones favorite characters aren't in it. Plus the cheesy dialogue and have baked script.
"SmexyAsianGirls" you must be young and don't remember the nuances of comic or the cartoon, and that's why you enjoyed this butchering of an American Icon.
I'm 17 and I have an old VHS tape I bought a few years back of G.I Joe. It seemed corny to me so I guess I thought it fitted in with the movie. That's my opinion at least.

Superb Homage to Trey Parker and Matt Stone brilliance.
The preview promoters clearly knew a joke in G.I. Joe when they saw it, and appropriately gave it the puppet treatment.

Of all the movies to rip off from, they picked Team America. Just shows that Hollywood has run out of creativity.

...and shows how creative Matt and Trey are.

No, the accelerator suit were ripped off from Ironman.
McSuperfly101 2 years ago 4

When I saw the the GI joe trailer for the first time the moment the Eiffel Tower Felt I thought:
*There's a Team America Movie coming Out? Awesome.*
ProEnlightenment 2 years ago 5
Amazing, there is an equivalent for almost every single shot!
The biggest one is the Eiffel Tower attack, I mean it falling over in almost identical way as Team America, some shots are almost exact duplicates.

Perfect execution- Just telling a friend how ridiculously similar GI Joe looks to a parody film.

The reason why they look so similar is because Team America made fun of cliché Hollywood movies and GI Joe is a cliché Hollywood movie.

I don't know what to say. Either someone is pulling a mean prank, or Matt Stone and Trey Parker are the two most brilliant people on earth.
Or maybe I just don't know enough about american culture...
Great vid by the way. I guess it's hard to make it fit all the way through, but some of the clips fit so well it makes me wanna vomit.

Damn son. They had to have copied some of this stuff. It's just too similar for it not to have been.

I think the makers of G.I.JOE ripped off Team America. It the same freaking story. What a ripoff.

How is this a rip-off of Team America? The TV show came out before the movies was even made. Shut the fuck up.
SmexyAsianGirls 2 years ago
I was referring to the movie plot not the toyline/comicbook/cartoon show.
These bastards butchered one of my all time favorite cartoon shows!!!!!
kingkull0423 2 years ago
The movie wasn't that bad. You can't expect everything to be perfect. If they'd had gone exactly like the TV show it would have been corny as hell.
