I wouldn't say it's a rip off. I took the tour 2 days ago. It's what you make it - entertaining? Yes. Informative? Yes. An amazing life changing experience? Not so much, but it was fun.

So how is the layout? Anyone? I hear the entrance to the park is actually one of the exits to the original structure and the nearby surrounding area is actually the battleground. Is that accurate?

That is true. The Alamo itself was where the women and children hid during the battle. James Bowie was also inside the Alamo, because he was very ill and so weak that he could not rise from his cot to join the fight. The battle itself was fought inside the spacious courtyard in front of and to either side of the Alamo .... which presently consists of streets and the surrounding hotels and buildings. The most active spot near the Alamo is the old Menger Hotel, situated across the street.

i went to san antonio this past weekend and did THIS tour with Martin Leal. I'll be honest with you.. for the price, it was ok. our kids had alot of fun and were having a great time. Me on the other hand thought it was ok but i kind of had this gut feeling this guy was full of shit. all the jokes he said on this clip are the same lame ass jokes he said on our trip. i feel like he already has his entire tour memorized. needs new material. i would recommend this tour for younger kids.
