It sounds really good, but if I were you, I would work more fingering including the pinky. You didn't use it not even once, through the whole tune. It doesn't affect this tune, but will affect your playing in the future.
Fantastic, man. Keep it up. I presume you have hear Fingerpainting - The Music of Herbie Hancock, with Christian McBride, Nick Payton, and Mark Whitfield. If not, check it out dude. I will try and post some of my videos (I play jazz trumpet), and hopefully you can check those out. Sounds killing man!
I usually don't comment any video here in youtube, in fact, this is the first one. You have a really nice swing, groove, whatever you like to call it. And nice piano by the way. Best wishes
Great voicings. Your hands look as though you are young, perhaps in high school. Keep it up. Contact the UNLV Jazz Dept. if you haven't decided on a jazz studies program yet.
Your chops are great man. You've definatly got the Herbie vibe down in your solo. You're taking some liberties with the time but that may be intentional so whatever. Are you a pro?
very nice

Ah, pretty cool. It sounds slightly cautious to me, but you've got more than enough to put on a good show.

@blendingbone -
That's exactly right. It was an ocean-themed album of originals, including its most famous title track.
I would complain that they don't make them like that anymore, but I hope that I'm just ignorant.

I am very impressed by your soulful playing.....How long have you been playing for?
Which 3 pianists have influenced you the most?
Which 3 albums would you recommend me to buy?
