Psychiatrists have no idea what they are treating most of the time. There is no adequate initial assessment, no clear process-based discrimination between different diagnoses, and grossly inadequate follow up and containment. I'm sure the poor understanding of the root causes of symptoms can be exacerbated by drug treatment, as beneficial as it is at times. Psychiatrists, especially of the Harvard variety are also extremely interpersonally,& even physically dangerous. Avoid Harvard narcissists.
