  • Zahara simply the best... I fell inlove with this song even though i don;t know what the words mean

  • This song was first done by a group called Langa Traditional Singers, on the albulm Lokishini.

The song is about a Love called Loliwe, who left her (passed away). It's clearer on the original song, where the verse says "...wasuke wangishiy' uLoliwe.."

Nonetheless, I love the way Zahara did it, it's just out of this world.

    Lyrics:

ULoliwe wayedudu lami - Loliwe was my soulmate

Nang'esiza - I feel his presence (direct translation is here he comes)

    Sul'ezonyembezi mntakwethu...

  • Am so happy :;)))))))))) to hear such beautiful young black generation taking over our music industry singing in our languages, If we want our voice to be heard it should start with us, we have to promote our languages and be proud of who we are, we have to talk loud and clear with pride for a white man to envy us and appreciate us and our culture.

  • When are we going to thank the men and women who built our country? Our houses, our buildings, our monuments, our railroad tracks that carry our people and our food. We are forever indebted to all the African workers of our beautiful nation and we must honor them for their hard work during times when they were treated unfairly and not even their wages were fair. I thank you fellow Africans and hope the enjoyment of all you built by all will bring some comfort...

  • Uloliwe is a steam train. Long, long ago men used to leave their homes to go to the cities to find work. The steam train was the mode of transport. The song pays homage to those times when you heard the steam train approaching, you knew it was time to go home...I hope that helps some of the guys to understand what the song is about.
