im beer and mixed drink guy (and when i say mixed drink it's wild turkey and coke thats all) the mojito is still very, very good...do you need help? yes, do i need help, yes...absolutely. i was a bartender for a while and the frou frou drinks SUCK to make, hes absolutely right. The mojito is not in my batting order, doesn't deter the fact that it's good, it is good, just stick to the basics, your a guy, help a bartender out...beer and jack and coke
I know someone who responded in redtzar's profile who really wanted to see him make a video about Colin's Mojito mania. Did I give you the idea by calling the Sabres a bunch of meek fru fru mojito drinkers for this sounder as well? Anyhow the only mixed drink I have is whiskey and coke. Otherwise I'm a beer guy. When I first started drinking I drank like smirnoff ice and stuff, but ya know I just grew out of that stuff and it is a drink aimed at chicks and well people who listen to duran duran.
No, I actually heard the segment that day and regailed myself with thoughts of my mojito experience in Germany. I hoped that the show had not been deleted already from the archives, and I was lucky to find it. Anyhow, it wasn't easy to find funny pictures for this one, but I would welcome anyone else's mojito-induced Colin rant. I think that's one of the funniest segments he's done in awhile.
I was fortunate enough to have a Mojito in Duesseldorf, Germany in the Altstadt. It was actually recommended to me by a male friend who once worked there and seconded, and subsequently prepared, by the male bartender, his friend. I guess it isn't a big deal to them...hahaha. The drink was awesome and had real Cuban rum in it so it was quite spicy. I've never forgotten the taste, and to date that is the only one that I can recall having ever had.
