  • Did you know guys that this is sang to the theme of barney the dinosaur and yankee doodle

  • amazes me also

  • Loved this when I was a kid. It made me want to take amphetamine, join strategic air command and then bomb Russia. Ah the good old days.

  • So Roger Ramjet got his powers from tweaking?

  • Roger, you always cease to amaze me!

  • 4:25 Rogers touching a wall tit!

  • Comment removed

  • Hope this never gets turned into a movie no one in Hollywood is smart enough to remake this

  • Achei fantástica a transferência de localização do Oceano Pacífico para entre a América do Sul e a África!! Como toleramos coisas quando somos crianças!!!

  • Aye... Even Rodger Ramjet has comments full of douche...

No where on YouTube is safe...

  • Counter Bad Guy? Corny....very very corny lol

  • @mikeycamp and FYI I haven't banged a sheep in years. They're pretty scarce around these parts since America implemented heavy tariffs on NZ sheep imports into the US as a result of NZ refusing to let nuclear US ships into our ports in the 80's. And I recall we helped you guys out (and have lost soldiers) in Vietnam, Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan, but have never asked for your help with any military conflict, so watch who you're calling douche-bag, friend. NZ remains a strong ally of the US.

  • @mikeycamp Read my comment again and I'll think you'll find that I was defending America, and just pointing out to someone that this cartoon was just poking fun at one side of the military, not the entire military, or indeed America. Not that my comment will really matter, cos like @warninggecko both the satire of the cartoon and the content of my original reply both went completely over your head. Your reactionary comment and inflammatory language doesn't do much to bolster your case either.

  • @warninggecko: not only are you an atrocious speller, you also show an appalling lack of ability to discriminate between satire and propaganda, and just a little paranoia. I too watched this as a kid in New Zealand, and even then I realised it was subversively taking the piss out of the gung-ho militaristic side of America, which was why I loved it, and still do. Grow up you dweeb.

  • @nzrockofages So you like knockin the piss out of the US military do you now douche bag,,. Yeah, that's how half the world feels/felt until we bailed there sorry asses with our boys blood or our taxes payers money,,,not that any one gives a shit about you sheep banging Zealand turds...

  • I was a teenager who came home from school to watch Roger Ramjet and it was totally, absolutely political satire! It was a crackup to know what was going on in the news and watch Roger Ramjet. Others with side political comments included Rocky & Bullwikle, Mr. Peabody (with the Way-Back Machine), Boris & Natasha, and Dudley Do-Right. It was light satire, not mean. Today everything is for the throat mean. Too bad we can't laugh a little.

  • XD Gotta love the worldplay.

    "Roger Ramjet calling!"

    "Who?"

    "Its me!"

    "You mean, "its I"

"No its not, its ME-Roger Ramjet!"

  • This sounds like the grandfather of "American Dad."

  • this was my before school entertainment in the 60's. one cool show.

  • POWDERED... TOAST... MAYNN!

  • 0:51 "badguy" division. I guess brassbottom has a pocketfull of rockets.

  • Roger Ram Jet rocked in the 60's and he rocks now!

  • Betternot Peak! argarg. I wonder what it is abour RR's jet exhaust that makes everyone think they're so safe behind it, including the birds who build nests in it.

  • my god.. that times lol,..

  • LOL @ Rodger and his meth pills

  • “Yes Roger. May I call you Roger?”

    “Roger”

    ”Splendid Ramjet”

  • These were first aired in 1965...

  • Loved this as a kid back in the mid 60's...

  • @BeatleJim55 I loved these in the mid to late 1980s on the ABC in Australia.

  • Grande Roger!.

  • this is some great nostalgia

  • if only american soldiers were like roger england would've invaded years ago

  • Better Not Peak

  • reminds me of republican space rangers from gta

  • did he say that he was the inventor of the ramjet proton energy pill? Why the hell would he need a doctor's prescription for something he invented?

  • @ImAmWatching he is an idiot..

  • @ImAmWatching oh thats how america works..its all hiarachy..for you to do something serious you must take permission from your superior, who takes permission from his superiors and so the bill goes everywhere from professional to professional..and finally when its done..

  • You mean this one? hahahaha...

  • Well, we Canadians enjoy it. :)

  • Man, if you want to see some violent cartoons, take a look at anime today, where even high school kids beat the crap out of each other. This is nothing in comparison.

  • 5:10 thru 5:12 .......rats, curses and things of that nature....I swear, these writers were so fucking funny it`s like they were on crack. I miss these cool shows, I saw them when they were originally aired in the 60`s

  • Dr. Ivan Evilkisser, what a freakin hysterical name for a bad guy.....these writers had imagination.....oh yea, and check the animation. pause it frame by frame, at exactly 3:57 the little girls mouth dissapears for a few frames so cool.

  • THE FUCKING NOSTALGIA!

  • Hahahaha that was actually quite amusing.

Take a look at this map.Y

    ou mean this one?

Yes Roger, may I call you Roger?

    Roger

    splendid Ramjet.

  • One of the best TV cartoons ever! Right up there with Jay Wards' classics.

  • The Atlantic Ocean is labeled "Pacific Ocean" on the map. LOL.

  • Watched it as a kid and loved it

  • i wonder when roger ramjet vs afghanastan will be out?

  • 4:46 This is arguably the greatest fight scene I have ever seen

  • Hahahahaha, I loved this when I was a kid! Beautifully scripted and performed. Gr8 1-liners! Gotta incorporate some of these as part of my daily jargon...

  • Comment removed

  • ROTF!! "Rats, curses and things of that nature!"

  • This is super funny! Back from the days when parents could watch the kids' shows as well and have laugh

  • wow I had the record of this episode when I was a kid I bet i listened to it a thousand times I loved it thanks for the post, God Bless.

  • I thought this cartoon was really bad when I was I kid because I never got any of the jokes. But when I got older it was/is actually pretty funny.

  • LOL....who says there aren't jokes adults would only get in this? And to think I sat there at 11 and missed it all.

  • Excellent stuff - this is just as good as I remember!

  • as a kid i never knew just how clever this was! this is great! tiny little light bulbs lol!

  • Yankee Doodle

  • They should totally make a movie of this.

It would be WAY better than the Speed Racer so called movie.

  • @Delmerio Not if anyone in Hollywood made it.

  • same.tune.for.Barney

  • whats the song?

  • I see it as satire rather than US propaganda.

  • @Wonkur When it was released, it played everywhere but the US. Hit too close to home.

  • Pacific ocean????!!!!?????

  • Anyone with a brain larger than a pea can see that this is very funny satire, not government propaganda. The government could never come up with anything this good.

  • nice cartoon

  • I think Roger was on the E's.

  • The comments show how all you Anti-American types are so dense - this cartoon was a SATIRE of U.S. patriotism, like alot of stuff made in the 60's. Even as a kid back then, I could tell that. You guys need a sense of humor, oh that's right, you're victims of leftist propaganda -you don't have any.

  • No it was Gary Owens who also played Space Ghost and Powedered Toast Man in Ren and Stimpy.

  • more episodes please this is great.

  • THIS is the character those Matrix guys should make into a movie.

  • Man, I haven't seen this in over twenty five years. I used to LOVE this!

  • This cartoon brings me a lot of memories when I spent every saturday morning watching cartoons, great

  • WOW! I used 2 love this show

  • American patriotism at it's best.

Reminds of the wankers in Irac now lol.

    Wannabe heroes!

  • 1965 was the year this came out, the very subtle political commentary is funny.

It seems like a take off, or perhaps a precursor, to Rocky and Bullwinkle.

The pill popping idea was the thing back then. Want to wake up? Take a pill. Sleep? Take a pill. Get stronger, smarter, better, etc.? Take a pill.

It may seem a moot point these days, but then it was a new and modern way to look at the future.

I was 3 when this first came out, I vaguely remember it, not popular with me then.

  • haha, I can't believe this is so funny as it is!! ROFL!

"That means every refrigerator in the country will be dark! No one will know what to eat!" - haha

  • -.- trust americans to come up with a show like this...

  • Roger Ramjet for President in 2008! And Fred Thompson and his runningmate! ;0)

  • i puked a little.

    "teeth"...

  • When I was a kid in the mid 60s in NE Phila., we did not get UHF channels on our TV (i.e., only had 4 channels, 3, 6, 10, 12). So we could only watch cartoons on Sally Starr for a limited time (I think she came on at 3:00 p.m.) Then, one day my father came home with a "converter box" which had to be turned on separately and sat on top of our black and white TV. After he hooked it up, "voila" we got UHF channels and Roger Ramjet was the first cartoon I saw on UHF (in black and white).

  • qetg

  • Thank God, I thought it was just me!

Hey, maybe we could form a support group-

"Hi, my name's Tony, and I'm on forty proton energy pills a day."
