Aweee My mom's dog has skin problems where he gets sores and scabs..then his hair grows in really dark. They have him on an aggressive antibiotic treatment along with steroids. Prednazone I believe? He is improving but they kept telling her it was allergies. He has suffered with this for about 2 years and finally the antibiotics are working. It is bacterial..it is not allergies. I am so sorry that your dog had to endure all that he did. My heart goes out to you. They are our kids!
He passed Nov 16th 2010. I informed the kennel, they didn't care or take responsibility. Just said they hadn't had a case of it in 6mths.... =-( RIP Bacchus.
Awwwh Im So Sorry. Your Poor sweet Baby. Please report this to the kennel so other pets wont suffer as your little one is. I do hope he gets well soon. It looks like you are taking very good care of him. Please be careful as not to infect yourself or other pets you have. Bless your heart
Cultures were taken, it was MRSA, the only antibiotic it was not resistant to was Amikacin which is injectable only & needs daily visits to the vet for his shot.
