Peoples here forget that GTST is only about Lucas and Edwin so they think the ratings will go down after Raynor left the show.But they forget that besides Lucas and Edwin there is still tons of other characters in the show.And if the ratings go up that means it is a success.But i understand Ludwin fans is just going through their moment of grief.

I would like see maybe on the destruction with Lucas,then maybe go to a grief support group maybe d he can find somebody there have cute little story line with that. Meeting somebody who can relate to loosing a loved one. (I am not writer or anything I know that wouldn't be something they would do) I thought that would be a cute little story line. Maybe in my head ha ha! I'm sad to see the character Edwin go he was fun to watch I think the story line was kind of nice though.

I'm really interested to see how Lucas is gonna handle Edwin's death. It makes me tear up seeing the characters crying over Edwin's death, especially Lucas, since they had just gotten back together. I have a feeling he'll be self-destructive for a while, but I hope he'll find someone he can love after some time.

@GTSTfanMark Agreed, Edwin's death will likely cause a boost because of the stories that will be written as a result. Edwin's death was not for no reason, but is being used to facilitate new stories. Also, Raynor was originally not a fixed actor in the cast, he was only ever meant to play Edwin temporarily, but then the pairing with Lucas and Edwin became more popular than everyone thought it would.

For once, all soap operas are just that insane. And it'd be kind of cool that they treat Lucas love life as shitty as everybody else. Always finding "true love" just to loose it later. The only thing that I don't like is that, they killed him against his will. They could just broke the couple in a huge fight with lots of drama. Instead they went with the easy way.

Soap Operas are going the way of the Dinosaurs. In the states we have 4 left, and they'll be gone soon. If you want to shut a soap down, the easiest way is to start a gay storyline. The world is just not interested in seeing love between two men. It would rather see the two men beating or killing each other.

I, too, am not a regular viewer pre-Ludwin. But what attracted me to the story was initially NOT because of Edwin but because Lucas will have a partner. I was still wrestling with the idea of Sjoerd being with Lucas since they're kinda compatible. But I've grown to love Edwin and the Ludwin storyline. It's a shame he's leaving the show. But I am hopeful that whoever they choose as a new love interest for Lucas will be someone who's greater than Edwin. But as of now, no one can top him.

I started because of Lucas but soon fell in love with Edwin's charisma and development. I'll stick around but with great sadness.. And it's a great shame that we won't be able to see more of his acting talents (especially if you live overseas).
