  • Now that's how you sell a car. Thanks for the post.

  • the 1966-1974 Fiat 124 was assembled in

    Turin, Italy

    Casablanca, Morocco

  • i had 5 fiat 124 great cars , far better than ford, i live in the u,k,,,,,

  • Russian Steel was used, given to Fiat By the Soviet government as a form of payment for Fiat allowing the 124 to be used as a Basis for the Lada, Not saying it was a bad car good handling and speed for the engine size and advanced features compared to the same class of cars coming from Opel and Ford. and Fiat was the biggest car manufacturer and seller of cars in Europe in the 70's so they were doing something right I guess?

  • @danielussr you know it was first in 1976 fiat started to use Russian steel

  • i drove the wagon--great car and was fun to drive too

  • How do the Fiats made now , stack up in quality and reliability vs Honda/ Toyota and American cars? I remember the junk Fiats from the 1970s,

  • maybe yours was junk, but mine wasn't!

    i had a 124tc and it ROCKED!!!

  • I can see u don't know shit about fiat's history, but i respect ur opinion ;)

  • I don't know about Fiats history, But if they were so good, why did Americans stop buying them? They bought Hondas, nissan, toyota, becaues Fiats rusted out and had poor electrical systems, bad customer service, poor fit and finish, and were pieces of shit!

  • Its true about rust, but most of them were desined by ferrari's desiner. great engines and all mecanical associat, the electrical sistem were good 2!

I have the 124 1800 sport coupe CC with 2 starter sistems, coil and electronic starter. for a car that is from 74 is preety good. the body and chassy were well finished and were great on car performance.

don't know why they stoped buying but i would like 2 know.

  • Either that or the Americans banned them, like they did the original Mini and triumph Dolomite because of bumper height (a new law was introduced), the MGB because the bumpers were chrome (a new law specified rubber).

America simply uses legislation to protect its car industry. I don't think an MPG in single figures would be competitive otherwise.

  • Fine in the walm balmy Mediterranean, but get them in the wet or the snow and they just disintegrated in front of your eyes. If Fiat want to take over GM they have to fix this to sell any in North America.

  • aahaha, "so good you can escape from the police with ease..."

  • years ago two friends of mine bought fiats....other than the fact that they handled great.....they were total pieces of "junk". Constant electrical problems, interiors that fell apart instantly. One of the two friends sold it back to the dealer after about a year and a half....no one could fix the thing.

  • hah! - my mechanic could fix my Fiat 124 just fine - every other month. It's pretty bad when your mechanic recognizes your voice on the phone. . .

  • no chance of an ad like that on tv nowadays!too unp.c!

  • We had one of those when I was a kid. It's still in the family and needs some TLC. The early US versions were all sold as automatics because most Americans don't know how to drive a car with an engine that likes to rev.

  • watch?v=C41H74W2Uxw here Murat 124. Made in Turkey.

  • it's only a mint 124 with big rims... and blue drums lol.. Not really better, they were the same car! The one shown in this video is probably a 1600 Special T, 1600 DOHC that never landed in Turkey... My dad had one, awesome car!!!

  • This is a dependable automobile. Remy Julienne is greatest stunt driver in all of Europe. In Europe there are 50 varieties of cars. the car Remy Julienne uses in his work is a FIAT automobile. His prefered car to drive is the FIAT 124. The car for the family.

  • GREAT CAR..I LIKE FIAT 124 AND 125

  • Awesome, however, the 124 special never really sold well in Italy...Try to find one these days! The estate/wagon is really a collectors item now..

  • the lada is a clone of the 124 but worse than the original fiat 124

  • You should see Tofas/Turkish version of it. Better than Italian original.
