i have faster way using a large 50 lb weight and large tarsh bucket the weight is attached to a board i just load like 30 cans at one time lay the board acrooss the trash bucket and pound them 2- 3 times to flatten em all in 5 seconds ! MY cost to make this was ZERO all pieces found while recycling on streets ! Pole from vacumm cleaner weight is from a basketball net trash bin supplied by city for recycling !

Very nice. Good job. Ive seen a lot of videos on can crushers, because I want to build my own. This is by far one of the most efficient and cost effective ways of crushing cans Ive seen. Thanks for posting.

Hmm ... thats a good idea ... check back next week. My bachelor party is this weekend so there will be lots of drinking going on in our shop. I'll give your idea a try and post up the video first chance I get.
