The Pac-10 got screwed over that year. Oregon who was 10-1 didn't go to a BCS Bowl game, and UCLA who went 9-2, didn't go to the Holiday Bowl.
And I feel bad for Northwestern because they had such a great season, and I felt bad that they had to end their dream season on a losing note.

I didnt know a 10-2 season was considered a "joke".. not to mention that team produced a soon-to-be rookie of the year in MJD.
