  • @Drpepperman1885 Yes, every day from May to July and every two days throughout the year.

  • anyone can help me please and tell me what's the name of the march they played in the first minute? thnx

  • @LOSGODFO Its called "Colchester Castle" composed by Earl Brigham

  • That is not BP at the beginning. Is it Wellington Barracks?

  • @bill1745 Yes, it is Wellington Barracks

  • I have never worn that BearCat..Just Music.

  • wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh enjoy :D

  • veramente moLto preparati. BRAVI

  • This is rehearsals for the troop, but theres also a bit of a buckhouse and st james mount ,but most of the film is the colour guard(the flag)training for the troop outside wellington barracks ,and its the Irish guards QUIS SEPRABIT (WHO SHALL SEPARATE US)there motto click on my site to see the British Army live fireing well worth a watch

  • this is not the changing of the guard.....

    this is something quite different!

  • Nice video. I have viewed many from B Palace and yours presents a different angle from the others I have seen, starting at 1:45. Also, thank you for taking us "inside" at the end.

  • re below comment..yeah..then his mate suggests "machine gun guards"..both wrong

  • At 2:53 you can hear someone saying General Mitchell he must be guessing what the band was going to play next but he was wrong thay marched of playing the march "Admiral of the Air" haha

  • At about 5 min into the video the band and Guardsmen are marching by the camera, At the rear of each rank there is a Guardsman holding what appears to be a scarf or banner over his extended left arm. Can someone tell me what that is all about?

  • The guardsman is carrying the cover for the Colour over his arm.

  • Ahhh-ha. Tthank you! Even a simple cover for a regiments color is treated with total respect there. I like that. There is too little emphasis on ceremonial in the States - mores the pity.

  • It's just in case if it rains.

  • Normally they change into red in April. But remember that alternations can be made from time to time. Remember last year, normally they change from red into greatcoats in October, but it was one month later, in November, to allow the 1st Bn Grenadier Guards to use the red for a short while, because they returned to ceremonial duties in that month.

  • Ah! So that's why I see videos of sentry changes with one group of sentries in red tunics and the other in a greatcoats.

It's a wonder how you know so much. Thanks for being so informative!

  • When do they lose the grey coats and change to red tunics? April?

  • very good!

  • 23 Engineer Regiment.

  • Also, the guys with the red berets are the Royal Engineers (para).

  • Fantastic video! My favourite march, Colchester Castle @ the start of the video. !
