Where's point park uni? Is there any shows around december/january and/or march/april? I'm in the States then and would like to see if this was just one off great performance or is there consistency as well.
im currently a senior at point park, we did this show my freshman year. point park is in pittsburgh, PA. we do eight shows a year (not including the dance productions.) Child's Christmas in Wales (a childrens show) is running in december. the next show that opens is room service, opening January 24. in March/ April, we have Time After Time (a new musical being workshopped here at point park) running Feb 24-March 14. Then the Light in the Piazza runs march 26-April 3.
Oh, yea, I knew about the different versions, but wasn't sure which one U were doing. I am choreogaphing this right now, & I've decided to make my Lecturer/Mr. Poppy a girl, also partially because of a lack of guys, HA, but she's not going to be like, the Neve Campbell Miss Poppy w/ the dance in the middle like the movie. I'm doing like a funky fusion. I LOVE that U did that breakdown with a bunch of people! I'm sticking to the movie version as a partner dance, but that is a BRILLIANT choice!
Indeed...that is amazing. Is that from the staged version, some of the lines/lyrics/specifics are different from the filmed version. I love it! Great job!
Yes. The stage version was written first, then they filmed the movie with some changes and some new songs. Since then, they've made changes and added songs to the stage version. So there are actually a few different stage versions floating around depending on when revisions were made.
