(1) If someone is in this country illegally then they are committing a crime, that alone makes 100% of illegals criminals...

(2) each jail or prison that houses illegal immigrants would have that much space freed up if illegals werent here to commit the crimes.

(3) yes, if there wasnt illegal immigrants here in the US then there will be less crime committed, its a fact and you cant run from it. Percentages dont even matter. Kick out the illegals and see the # of crimes drop!

Oh and BTW -- the telling data is not from a prison records -- most legal crime is petty theft, misdemeanors, and most gang arrest are juveniles.

If we're talking specifically about illegal Mexican's, the real data shows that its the second generation (born in the U.S and legal) that reverts to crime for some reason. The first generation, especially if the're illegal, are very law abiding, maybe to stay under the radar, but probably also because they have to actually work for a living and are too busy trying to survive.

They might be nice people. But they create a problem, making American teens or people that lost their job, because of our own stupidity, harder to find a job. Another are these crimes, though most is not their fault. Drug smuggling and human trafficing are serious, serious crimes. We are not the only country to have this problem, they choose to come here because it's a wonderful place. They want their children to have a good life. It's a brave cause, but a problematic one at that.

illegal aliens who commit serious crimes get deported which is freedom for them. and sometimes they come back over the boarder. they should keep them locked up. or maybe our government needs to pay more attention on securing our nation's own backyard than worrying about some stupid oil thousands of miles away.

This is the classic story of one person ruined it for everyone.

I knew several illegals from Mexico. They are all wonderful and nice people. Some of them I consider them family.

I think high crime rates don't necessarily have to be linked to illegal Aliens. It should be linked to poverty stricken areas. KSL should do a side by side comparison of people committing crimes from poor, middle class and wealthy backgrounds.
