I remember my mum bought me one of these cover albums. I was so excited to see the songs, but man I couldn't hide my disappointment when I learned there were covers!
This is one of those albums of the 80's that was entirely covers...There was a time there where you really had to read the very FINE PRINT looking for the hidden disclaimer NOT RECORDED BY THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS. When you got the said LP/Cassette home after blowing near $10, you were sorely disappointed. Tekmak and K-Tel were notorious for these poor bastard shenanigans.
Why would one get an album of anonymous cover versions?!

i reckon. They couldn't even get weird al yankovic on there. So for his song "Eat it" they had an impersonator well, impersonating an impersonator...
