  • Masha ALLAH , Tabark ALLAL, great skills, salam from Amman -Jordan

  • do they have any branch in Singapore???

  • Assalamualaikum..dimana boleh belajar silat ani?kadiaku sdg mencari semua jenis martial arts yg beguna..

  • Can't wait til he returns to the US Eastcoast (NewYork)..I was this close to attending the last seminar but had to cancel at the last minute. This is the Silat training I've been looking for.

  • durexgalz!! youre right!!! .. im sorry, i was about to rate ur comment, but then, i accidentally clicked the (n) .. damn it..

  • I love this stuff. The chinese influence in kuntao is very prominent

  • nothing like good old fashioned devastating BRUNEI kuntau.

    Gets the job done everytime

  • Hey..! Its doesn't matter to whom does the art are belong to...we were here learned the good things from it..not about claiming "its yours and its mine" issue. Why can we lived together in peace and harmony, helping and protecting each other. As for example, this is what happen to the Palestinean, when everyone's is keep on claiming they're

right ones to owned these and that..please..please stop our self from looking the differences among us..TOGETHER WE STRONG; DIVIDED WE FALL !

  • Good silat I had ever witnessed. Great..

Malaysia has made a great mistake. They try to adapt indonesian culture. Please band all the indonesian culture in malaysia. Lets start it next year.

  • so ignorant ... please do more research about malaysia culture before talking nonsense..

  • Awesome display.

  • good job

  • tak semua silat asal dari indonesia.ia juga ada yang berasal dari Brunei ,Malaysia dan philippine

  • at 1:53 the guy in red seems to know that the master will sweep his foreleg so he tried to avoid it, hehe but the master sweep his backfoot in instant. The sensei guy is a real deal.

  • awesome footwork

  • To nusantara Mulims, this debate is pointless, at the end of the day man will be judged through his piety to GOD, tak kira la kau jawa ker, minang ker, riau, bugis, sunda bla bla bla bla, berhenti la gaduh pasal cerita kulit

  • I think Pak Maul was trained by Indonesian military.

  • Brunei & Malaysia are British artificial constructs for British to continue exploiting oil, tin & rubber.

They have NO unique culture. They are Minang colonies.

Malaysia and Brunei are historically VASSAL states of Java. ALL their "culture" is from historic overlord Java and Majapahit Empire rulers.

Bela Diri is Javanese. Even the words Bela- shield, 'diri from sendiri- self- properly pronounced 'ndiri are all JAVANESE not Melayu from Jambi river.

PS- Ganyang Melayu is still very popular

  • @purbanegoro im malay. my brother even if all you say is true..why the hate on malaysians? yes politics with the brits made things worse but do you really think all malaysians care so much about fighting? you think we feel more superior than indonesians? we are all no different. really. analyze the history and tell me is it the people or the politics that's feeding your bigotry?

kita semua sama bro. takde yang nak mati. politik merosakkan kesemuanya.

now lets enjoy some silat by darth maul!

  • WTF Bruneian Martial Art?? Silat is from Indonesia

  • WOW!! this is the smartest comment in youtube. What a classic..LOL!

  • what a classic? LOL, i laughing so hard here.. u dont even know what r u talkin about.. its public secret that many country near us have stolen our culture.. Rendang, Batik, Reog.. and now silat?? wtf..?!

  • There's Silat and then there's Silat.

There's Indonesia, and then there's Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Moros...

There's Indonesia, but there's Jawa, Yogya, Atjeh, Batak, Bali, etc.

Silat is known from Thailand to Indonesian islands to Brunei and Sulu.... don't be so closed minded.

Just because "Kung Fu" is Chinese doesn't mean Taiwanese martial arts aren't "kung fu". There's a great similarity in culture overall, and thus martial arts. Martial arts and culture are intertwined.

  • Rendang? Batik? Reog? LOL!! this guy is hillarious. Why dont you also claim that Indonesian made trousers as well. LOL.

  • LOOOOOLLLLLLLLL... stupid people show what u've got about history if u think YOU ARE SMART heh??? LOOOLLLL.. u such an idiot talkin to me like that.. LOOOOLLLLLLLLL hahahahahahahahahaha

  • lemme tell u the 1st history, when indonesia attacked by netherlands and japan, some people from java, sumatra ran to malaysia brunei.. rendang is from padang, which known from west sumatra.. batik is from java.. but they brought our culture there and now malaysia claimed as their own?? hahahaha, such an idiot.. think u're smart? how smart?

  • History? How old are you? 21 right? have you actually studied history and culture of other countries? Have you read the comments given by other people from other parts of the world and how they disagree about you? And how idiotic you sound? When the Japanese invaded no Bruneian "ran away" to any where. If "your" silat was so good then why did you "ran" to Malaysia and Brunei to hide or maybe for help? Everyone is laught reading at your comments LOL

  • thi is what i called stupid "If "your" silat was so good then why did you "ran" to Malaysia and Brunei to hide or maybe for help?" man even tho ur silat is really good, but when ur opponent holds riffle hold gun then u are nothing.. now let see bout ur people.. i will tell u about Johor.. people there could speaks javanese why? ask ur self if u think u are smart..

  • Im not talking about Johor, Im not interested with Johor or any other country. Im talking about your claim and why they ran away like cowards if they are as good as you say?? I dont want to ask myself, I want to ask you.

  • i told u ur question is just like an idiot.. u asking why people ran away if they're good in silat?? did u realize that ur question is like an idiot?? its only a few people, as i told u even tho u good in martial art but u face with people who holding a gun, then ur skill just nothing.. -_-"

  • So you are saying that your silat is not that good then. That your silat is actually crap.

And sorry purbanegoro, i know dikajennifer is your boy friend but im not talking to you. You are not in this discussion.

P/S: kuntau jawa tu silat indon asli ka?

  • Great stuff. I'm interested to see anything more you have on offensive footwork and leg traps.

  • The song is Adai-Adai ( a brunei traditional song)

  • can anybody tell me who the music is?

amazing job congratulations guru hope get in touch with u in the future for seminars in mexico, miami and centroamerica

  • i like everything about the video.. i like the music to..

  • I am a CLF and Wing Chun man and I have to say that Silat is a science style like they are. Much respect, and I would like to lean it one day.

  • I appreciate that. It's nice hearing a compliment from another martial artist. Thank you. Silat is very scientific. Peace man.

  • No problem my friend. Peace, good health and prosperity to you and your school. Can't wait for the next video.

I do, however, have one issue: I wish you had a school here in Atlanta, Ga.

  • Oh yeah, right. I bet you couldn't pull that footwork off if the floor was covered in broken glass and live SCORPIONS, now could you?

    Excellent, as usual Maul.

    *SIGH*

    I hate you.

  • Hello Bobbe, i can take the scorpions, as long as there are no maggots, they freak me out.

I urge any serious Martial Artists out there to get along and see Maul at a Seminar. You will learn more in 4 hours from this guy than you would in a year any where else. See you on Nov 1st in Wales Maul.
