Toronto hasn't won a Stanley cup since the original six days. How many times did Toronto loose in the Western Conference finals between the 70's and 90's. Like 4 or 5 times.

Yes LeafsGirl! You got it! Fuck our stupid management, and I agree 100% that (it's sad to say though) we should just keep on losing to be last in the league and have the best chance at the #1 overall pick in Stamkos. I love him. He will be our franchise player if we get him, and it for the first time in a while, we can actually say that it can happen. Sometimes we can be delusional, but this is serious. We need Stamkos.

lol...im a die hard leaf fan till the end but im sick of being surrounded by mediocrity year after year after year. As much as it is dissappointing that they have continued to not make the playoffs we really need a rebuilding process. People that dont agee with me about a 5 year rebuilding process, obv. dont know to much. 5 gives you time to accumulate draft picks, sort out management and figure out really who's expiration date will come up first.

I agree LeafsGirl. Maybe it won't take 5 years, but a good rebuilding process we do need. When Cliff Fletcher first came in, it took him a year and a half to make an outstanding team and get the outstanding coach of Pat Burns. I think if we get Cliff again, it would be very good.

The best thing that could happen to the Leafs is the basement this year and next. I'm happy the way the year is going...the pressure is mounting on management and at least we should get a good draft choice. I'm a dieheart Leaf fan...just can't stand the endless years of being a 500 team!
