I've seen worse. Have you seen the Nostalgia Critic do a video of the release for Harry Potter book 7? THAT was a crazy huge line! It makes this line look like a teeny shrimp! haha. but it was a big line for something that wasn't advertised that much.
oh yeah, you also get a license plate frame and a flyer with the control layout and other stuff on it.
it'd be cooler if they did have a raffle and gave out free bungie merch like shirts, 360's, controllers, gamestop gift cards, action figures, or what not.
but they didn't. maybe next time around? here's to hoping.
it's the experience you're really going for; to see the replica truck made from an authentic military vehicle, to mingle with other players, chat with the promo team... then ultimately step inside the truck and have an amazing 10min tease of ODST Firefight. It's really an experience that later in life you can look back on and be like "yeah, I did that".
it was north of Houston in the town of Tomball, TX. The promo crew said a lot of the people were from Dallas and Austin cause they missed their tour dates. so maybe half the crowd was from the Houston area; which is pretty damned huge. If you arrive 45mins early then the wait won't be so bad. I got there an hr after it had started.
