They could have put this money away for their education and future. They both have been spending money like there is no tomorrow and it hasn't always been on the kids. Jon said he went to therapy but Kate refuses to even go to marriage councweling let alone therapy. Kate is as phony as they come.
Jon has made some very poor decisions recently. In some of the episodes Kate did not treated him very badly. But that gives him no excuse to leave Kate and cheat on her. This is all so sad.
